Osmio Water Reviews

This little bottle ( genesis hydrogen water bottle ) packs a huge punch that gives me that little bit of energy in the morning . The Company is also great to work with, Sent my bottle back and the fixed it , top company , thank you Osmio

Owner Mark Kent has zero respect for customer. He wouldn't listen and talked over me during two conversations with him. Indra filter 400 stopped working after 4 weeks he said it was the plumbers fault without listening to what I was saying. I was very polite and asked for a refund on casing or a discount so I could get a new one. I said I had no water and had spent a lot of money on the items and plumber to set it up, he just didnt care and had little interest in anything I said, denying all responsibility and talking over me. I could not even finish three words without being talked over in a rude, know it all and aggressive manner. He told me to send an email to info @ osmio if I wanted a discount on a new casing (which was cracked due to sub par design which he is denying flat out). He knew I had already sent various emails to this email. When I asked if I could speak to manager as it became apparent he had no care I had no drinking water after spending so much on his products, and clear he had no intention of discussing any resolution, I asked if I could speak to a manager. He said agressively 'I am the manager', and hung up on me. He gave me the generic email to fob me off, knowing I had already sent various emails to this address (that he was receiving) over the past 2 weeks where I had clearly stated the problem. He said I would need to request a discount there (the address we had been corresponding?) This was after 2 conversations with him. He would not admit that his equipment was defective. It was installed correctly by a plumber who installed them before. He then refused to speak to me when I called back. He was very over bearing and rude and talked over me through the whole conversation, insulting my plumber and my knowledge. A very unpleasant man. I am now left 260 pounds down with a faulty casing unit that lasted 4 wks. The filtered water was very unpleasant too. Very upset with whole experience. I would run a mile from this company. If you have a problem with anything the owner says or dare to put your opinion forth, he will just talk over you in a rude manner, not admit any fault and if you disagree you will get hung up on. When I tried to call back he refused to speak to me and sent an email straightaway then saying he will not offer me any discount (after saying he would, but was not his decision?) and that I need to buy another at full price (after 4 weeks of use!) This was straight after he told me to request discount from info@osmiowater saying it would go to operations team and it was not his decision. This was clearly a lie as he admitted before hanging up on me that he was the managing director 'and it doesn't get much more higher up than me'. Don't trust him and don't buy anything from him, I'm just glad I'm not stuck with one of his £ 400 plus equipments, which judging by other reviews are sub par and go wrong. Judging by these reviews others are also met with the same indifference, rudeness and blame that it is the customers fault and nothing to do with his products. Total crook! The whole experience has been painful, time consuming, stressful and I'm 260 pounds down with no drinking water now for 6 weeks and a huge dent on my bank balance. He even tried to sell me his expensive products while refusing to help me with the product I had already spent money on, unbelievable!

Bought an Osmio Zero RO machine about 6 months ago. Little did I realise that the zero meant zero respect. I live in a hard water area and was aware that I would have to descale more often. It’s a complicated process if you haven’t done it before. They don’t have specific video tuts about the descale process so I was told to watch the one on sanitising it, which I did. I hit a brick wall and called the tech team for help and had the misfortune of speaking to Mark Kent (founder/owner) himself. Mark might have developed some good products but his customer service skills (as mentioned by others on here), are literally the most appalling I’ve ever encountered! He was rude, patronising, impatient and dismissive, telling me that I was wrong, wasn’t following the video instructions, and was the only person he’d spoken to who found it difficult to follow instructions. Well, upon insisting that he actually go back to the exact minute in the video i was referring to he admitted I was right but offered no apology for his appallingly rude behaviour. Had I known I would be investing over £600 so far in a company run by someone with Zero respect for his customers, no matter how good the tech is, I would’ve bought elsewhere. His mother should be ashamed that her son has no manners and speaks so condascendingly to his female customers! Perhaps take a course in customer service Mark. It’s a real shame as every other touch point I had in the company was positive. Just not the owner.

We have owned an OsmioZero since June 2020 and use if for alla our water in a house of two adults and a baby. We bought it because Bristol water is awful and we had a baby who was having the occasional bottle and it had a great settng to heat water to bottle temperature. This has been used HEAVILY for over 3 years now and we have not had any problems. Key to this is regular decal and antibac of the system- the customer services were brilliant to help with this. Probably the best investment we have ever made for our family's health.

Got the Osmio Zero Reverse Osmosis water filter benchtop machine and have been using it for about 4 months in London area. The product is great and the service I got from the company has been very detailed and responsive. So, very happy overall. Pros: - machine works great - water tastes better - instructions are very clear and it's easy to operate - I was worried about carbon heating element using more electricity but I haven't noticed any change in my electricity bills, so all good Cons: - The heating temperature knob could be designed a bit better as it's sometimes temperamental (doesn't always register the push or resets back to cold water too fast), but this is a rather minor hassle - if you live in hard water area you will need to descale it every 3 months as limescale will start accumulating Overall very happy and really glad with the purchase. Went for the extended 5 year warranty just in case.

After much research I decided on this little machine as I didn't want to have a purifier plumbed in. There were several options performing a similar function for roughly the same price but I chose Osmio, it being located in Britain, as all the others seemed to be imports and I was concerned about any post purchase problems and sourcing replacement filters etc. I didn't realise it contained this odd remineralisation cartridge as standard. It immediately caused a severe facial rash so I got in touch for advice...which was to buy an empty cartridge to replace the problem one. Disappointing having just spent over £500 and I thought at least the postage would be refunded. It was not. After much toing and froing and returning both used and unused filters and receiving an empty one so as to be able to continue using the unit, eventually all was resolved. There is much disagreement about whether remineralisation of purified water is necessary and my feeling is that it should be down to the individual to choose and so I think that should be established at time of purchase and the appropriate filters supplied according to the customer's wishes, thus avoiding unnecessary expense, time and hassle. All that said thus far it works well and is a reasonable compromise when unable or not wishing to plumb in an RO purifier, although I feel the price is rather high, given that filters need replacing twice a year and that the advice states that the unit itself should be replaced after 5 years.

AVOID! I never leave reviews but have to warn others about this company. You should heed the other 1-star reviews about abysmal customer service. I was excited about their product but it broke within a few months and customer service has been worse than useless. Specifically my device started uncontrollably leaking. Upon reporting this to Osmio, they launched onto me an onerous investigation making outlandish requests about procuring professional tests of my local water supply, interrogating my usage of the product, etc in a way that far exceeds either a reasonable standard or the interactions I’ve had with any other consumer electronics business. Ultimately they simply refuse to honor their warranty. I wish I had not purchased a product from this company - there are competitors.

The water filter machine was covered in mould inside and behind water jar after 1 year of use. After contacting support we were told that we need to test if the water from the filter is contaminated with mould ourself. We decided to trough away the machine. My verdict: no after sales support, potentially threat to your health, waste of money.

I have a under sink push fit filter and ordered some new filters. On arrival I didn’t check/realise that one of the filters were broken when I put the box in storage. I contacted them about my problem even though it had been well over the 24hour period. The company was so helpful and did say that in future I should check the parcel within 24hours but out of goodwill they have just sent out a replacement. So really good customer service. Also I did open up the old filters and the amount of stuff they filtered out of my water was amazing so can’t wait to finally get some new filters in as it is well overdue but won’t be without them.

Causes violent skin allergies. Had a whole house water filter system in 2017. I started having itchy skin specially my hands since installed but never thought it was related. Changed my diet drastically thinking it was skin allergies, still nothing, countless creams, steroids, nothing helped, I only felt some relief from my hands when we are away from the house a few days but I just thought it was because I was not washing up. This year, once back from holiday, my skin got bad the minute I got home and it was because I was bathing, drinking and using that water all the time poisoning myself. It does filter but whatever it puts back in causes violent skin reactions and it happened to my baby and other child. Bottom line, I was poisoning myself for the best part of 3 years, don't bother with this filter

About 3 months ago I was looking for a convenient way to improve the quality of our tab water for drinking. After doing my research I decided to go with the Osmio Zero, as it seemed to have the best and most convenient concept (a 4-stage countertop filter including reverse osmosis with a big water reservoir). When the machine arrived I was very excited, as we were trying to move away from buying bottled water/improving the nasty South London tab water for quite a while. First point to note is that Osmio seems committed to protecting the environment, given that there is no unnecessary packaging. The machine also didn’t come with a big manual but a one-pager with instructions and a QR-link to the PDF manual. This is how devices should be packaged in 2022! But this is where my excitement for the Osmio Zero stopped. Inspecting the device, I noticed that the build felt a little bit cheap. Moving parts like the lid and the control wheel are quite flimsy and don’t give the impression of a premium product. This could be overlooked if the machine would produce acceptable drinking water. However, herein lies the big problem I have with the Osmio. The water it produces has a very strong distinct taste, which me and my girlfriend would describe as chemical/pastic-like. Concerned about the integrity of the machine, I contacted Osmio’s customer service, who told me that the distinct taste was normal and that my tastebuds simply needed some time to adjust. We decided to give it a try, despite our dislike of the taste, hoping that it would go away once the system was in use for a while. But this didn’t happen nor did our tastebuds adjust. I kept communicating our experience to the Osmio customer service team, hoping they’d offer a solution but they just continued insisting that taste was subjective and that our tastebuds just hadn’t adjusted yet. That said, we offered a glass to everyone visiting to see their reaction, which was always the same; “the water tastes like chemicals”. After 2 months of trying to adjust to the taste we gave up and decided to return the machine. We began the return process by emptying and draining each module, as per the instructions given by the customer service, and sent it back in its original packaging. To our discontent we were told, that not only did we have to pay the £15.45 for the return shipment but that Osmio would also deduct £57.50 for the used filters from the refund. So in summation we paid £72.95 for 2 months of bad tasting water and a terrible customer experience. To everyone considering buying an Osmio Zero we strongly recommend to taste the water it produces before buying or simply looking for alternative products.

I have had the Osmio zero for almost a year. It recently stopped working and I was told by customer service that it needed de-scaling every 2-3 months. It turns out, this is a very fiddly process, which involves among many other steps having to unscrew the body of the device, take apart two valves, descale these small parts, then reassemble, altogether 16 screws, and finally descale the entire machine. It takes ages... You can watch a video on Youtube how it is done, on the Osmio Water channel. I did the whole process, but unfortunately it didn't work. Customer service at Osmio blame the hard water in my area, imply it is my fault and wanted to sell me another of their products, a whole house filtration system... Both times I contacted them they felt it appropriate to turn my request for help into a sales opportunity. This machine is clearly not designed to be taken apart every two months and so it is not fit for purpose. Sixteen fiddly screws! Let that sink in... I decided to cut my losses and bought a simple Aarke filter jug. I have researched distillers and other filters, none stand out as more reliable.

I would consider your purchase with Osmio water very carefully. Do not expect any decency if you experience any issues with their products. Multiple issues encountered. The main issue being sediment being discharged into the supply from the them, replacement filters not offered free of charge and a refund for the poor quality product not offered. Luckily these where paid with via credit card and a full refund is taking place. They are rogues who do not comply with the consumer rights act. Be warned.

I bought an under the sink water filter and fitted it to my 2 way mixer tap, and it was doing great. As I connected it to the main cold line and tap, the filter ran out quicker than expected. I contacted the customer care and the way they responded and resolved the issue was highly professional and out of the world. They even offered me a free three way tap to extend the life of my filter. And even offered a full refund if the issue is not resolved. It's working brilliant now, amazing customer care.

After an initial problem with my D7 RO machine, it’s now been resolved to my satisfaction and is up and running. I have found Osmio professional and helpful with troubleshooting. The machine went back for the once over and is now working fine on a plug and play basis. Mark and his team were very helpful sending extra parts as the case was damaged in transit. I was shocked to see all the negative reviews at this page. I’ve only ever experienced attentiveness and politeness from Osmio. These things are frustrating so I understand how other reviewers feel. The D7 stopped working and then Covid happened and remote troubleshooting to no avail and talk of water pressure issues (not the case), plumbers could’ve resolved and the instructions didn’t help (now improved). However eventually Osmio collected the D7 and it’s returned working so I’m very content with the service. I had to buy x3 lots of expensive filters for each abortive use but hey that would be my only criticism. It must be a hard business not knowing the variables of each household versus but that’s Osmio’s job and they got there in the end for me - that’s good customer service. Highly recommended.

This is the worst product I’ve ever bought. Membrane lasts about a month and then blocks, as if like clockwork. First ones lasted six months, descaled and sanitised the system, umpteen times, but the customer service just says it’s the hard water in the area. Also when I was told to clean the valves that the water tank sits on, when I removed the cover, the screws that hold everything together, were completely rusted through. I have an extended warranty but all they could do was send me some spares in the post, for me to change. This I would’ve done, but the ones that are in the machine are so rusty, they have disintegrated and no screwdriver on earth will get them out. All this within a year of purchasing. Really fed up with them. Terrible company and customer service. Just pass the blame to the hard water in your area. I’d recommend avoiding and save yourselves £500.

Installers were surprised at the lack of instructions and unhelpful interface. When the product was faulty I struggled to get much out of customer services, each email was met with another request for another piece of information I didn't have regarding my water pressure, water flow, pipe size, installer, etc. Ended up buying a W2B system off Amazon, arrived next day, installer found it very easy to fit and customer services were a delight. Lo and behold all of my problems have been resolved! If you're looking for a softener, just grab the W2B version instead, you'll be doing yourself a favour. 2 stars because customer services do respond, and the filters I purchased are pretty decent.

We've bought a few Osmio products now and have been most impressed with them, as well as their customer service. We love the Osmio Infinity

The quality of the water is good, the price increased by £50 over the space of 2 weeks, so they can accommodate free shipping to Europe. I had to send my machine back after 4 weeks, firstly the boiling water is not boiling. Then all the lights started flashing and the machine stopped working. This is not a cheap machine for there to be so many problems early on. There is no one to come out and service this, instead i have had to disconnect the machine and send it back to be fixed and then returned. The staff are quite rude and there were lots of difficulties re the initial purchase. They sell a 5 year product warranty with this, but i would imagine within 5 years they would be out of business.

Have had terrible service from this company and was spoken to very rudely by the owner Mark who can be abrupt, aggressive and patronising. They spitefully changed their minds about selling a friend an item that her relative urgently needed having already taken the money. Please be careful if you have to deal with them and perhaps look for what you need elsewhere. I don’t want them to get a penny more of my money!
