Payoneer Reviews

Extremely disappointing experience with Payoneer after using it for over 2 years. My account was placed under review for weeks. I contacted customer support multiple times, and every time I was told that the case had been escalated and was being reviewed internally. I was repeatedly asked to wait, with no clear explanation or timeline. After all of that, Payoneer suddenly decided to close my account and freeze my remaining funds. What makes this even more frustrating is that I called Payoneer after receiving the closure notice and specifically asked why my account was being closed. The answer I received was essentially: “We don't have any reason.” Seriously? You are closing someone's financial account, disabling their ability to receive and make payments, deactivating their cards, and freezing their funds, but you can't even tell the customer why? Keeping a customer in the dark for weeks and then closing the account without providing even a basic explanation is extremely poor customer service. I had legitimate business activity running through this account, and this situation has caused serious disruption. Payoneer needs to do much better when it comes to transparency, communication, and handling customers' funds.

I am unable to access my Payoneer account or use the Support Center because I constantly receive "Error 401 Unauthorized". * **Full Name:** Nourhan Nekh * **Customer ID:** 106244396 My account is locked, and I have all the required verification documents ready (my National ID and official stamped address verification CEF GABES from the Tunisian Post). Automated channels are completely blocking me from submitting them to unlock my account for TikTok payouts. I need a support manager to contact me directly via email so I can send my verification documents and restore my account.

Account Verification Pending Since August 12 I submitted my account verification documents on August 12th. It has been almost two months and my account status is still stuck on "Under Review". I have tried reaching out multiple times with no progress. My Customer ID is 105622418. Please review and approve my account as soon as possible.

I was not able to complete the sign-up process . i possess legal government documents confirming all my information but in one case not matching the very narrow and arbitary range of documents they accept and which they informed me about only half way through the sign up process. Naturally I expected them to remove all the highly sensitive information I had already provided them with - since I do not have an account with them. They refused point blank. Do not trust this organisation which appears to be under the delusion that they have a right to harvest the sensitive finanical information of large numbers of people who do not go on to use their services.

If I could I would give this company negative stars. I opened my payoneer account when I lived in Taiwan, It was dormant and then I moved back to my country South Africa. I have never transacted with them, while updating my details my old ID book was accepted, I then logged into my profile and was asked for more verification, I also didn't really know what i was doing on the "receiving payments prompts"and perhaps i clicked the wrong button. I also uploaded my OLD ID book, perhaps because South Africa is upgrading to Smart ID's it was flagged? I also uploaded a copy of my passport, but didn't realise it had recently expired! Suddently after uploading I was BANNED COMPLETELY. what the hell ? I called the USA from South Africa, I emailed and opened up ticket after ticket, allI got was the same generic answer that I violated some kind of terms and agreements. No matter how many times I pleaded my case that my new job ONLY accepted Payoneer as a method of payment, they still gave me the generic cold heartless answer. When looking online i see that MANY people have had a bad experience with Payoneer ,and this company and payment platform seem volatile and unstable, even when people have been using them for years and their salaries are with held. its ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that in this day an age there is absolutely NO room for human error or even mistakes even though I HAD NEVER sent or recieved money from Payoneer. I was only trying to setup my account and now i am completely banned FOREVER. Honestly, this company is just stupid and incredibly hostile with TERRIBLE customer service and I would not reccommend them AT ALL!

Payoneer have blocked my account twice now. Asking for documents they have already received multiple times. When I went to reupload them on the portal, it then said I had uploaded the wrong document. A tax document in the tax document section? Apparently wrong. I then had to go through 2 lengthy customer service calls to try and manually email my documents. The first ticket failed to receive my documents. The second ticket finally recieved them. I have a mortgage to pay and 2 kids to feed. MY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE NOT CHANGED SINCE OPENING THE ACCOUNT AND YET FURTHER DOCUMENTATION IS BEING REQUESTED. If there was any other way on Earth my client could pay me, I would have abandoned this platform the first time I was blocked. I'd have a better chance of getting my money if he's posted it in an envelope and sent it by messenger pigeon. The only positive thing I have to say about this company is that their customer service staff are wonderful. Especially Jennifer and Tanya. I can only imagine how miserable their jobs must be dealing with irate customers all day.

I had a very bad experience with this company, which ultimately led me to close my account. I noticed a duplication in the documents I was asked to complete. After calling the company, I was casually informed that there was a second account (not mine) linked to my Payoneer account. Support spoke casually and showed no sense of urgency or concern about the security breach. I specifically asked for the security department and asked to speak to someone who could help. I had concerns that sources were added to my account without my authorisation. I asked them to remove the sources, and support said they could only remove one. Support was rude, unhelpful, and unable to complete my requests to remove connections to my account I did not authorise. Over an hour on the phone, stressing how serious unauthorised use of my account was, I said if they were unable to remove the connections, I would have had to close the account. After the agent declined to remove the connections, only begrudgingly going as far as to remove 1 of the connections I was concerned about, I had no choice but to delete my account due to the security risks posed to me. As discussed on the phone, I am leaving a review to share my experience, as security with any financial product should be taken seriously, and in this case, the unauthorised access of my account was not, which is highly concerning and a huge red flag which has caused me to cease any further business with Payoneer.

Registration closed without a clear explanation or a way to resolve the issue I’m a applied for a Payoneer account to receive royalties from a book I planned to sell on Amazon. I encountered difficulties with address verification. A water utility bill is the proof of address I can provide, and I contacted support to explain my situation and ask how to proceed. Payoneer has now informed me that my documents did not meet its requirements, that the document review attempt limit had been reached, and that my registration is permanently closed. I was also told not to submit a new application. I understand the need for identity and address verification. My frustration is that the response did not identify the specific problem with my documents or offer a practical way to correct it before closing the application. Clear, country-specific document guidance and an opportunity for manual review would make this process much fairer. I would appreciate a specific explanation and reconsideration of my application.

This has been the worst, most frustrating experience I’ve ever had. I had been using this platform since 2022/2023 without any issues, always receiving amounts under 1k. Then, on October 29, 2026, I transferred over 10k—funds I had accumulated from another platform where I work. A while later, when I tried to log in, I found my account blocked—no warning, no explanation; they simply locked it with all my money inside. Coincidence? I don't know. But I’ve read many accounts from people who experienced the exact same thing and had equally terrible experiences. Payoneer’s support is horrible—just generic, automated responses; you never actually speak to a human. And the worst part is receiving an email saying, "We cannot allow you to withdraw your remaining funds. Please contact us after 03/30/2027 regarding your remaining funds." I’ve never seen anything like it; there’s nothing on their website about this. It shows a total lack of respect for the customer. I hope to resolve this issue soon, and I wouldn't wish what I'm going through on anyone.

To the Payoneer Executive Escalation Team, I am filing this complaint to request an urgent manual review of my account closure (Customer ID: 27414913, Reference: 260928-001873). My account was unjustly closed due to what appears to be a false positive in your automated risk system. I am an online course instructor (Udemy) and digital contributor (Shutterstock, Adobe Stock) based in Ukraine. Payoneer is my sole channel for receiving legitimate earnings. Due to severe, ongoing damage to the energy and internet infrastructure in my region, I purchased a Starlink satellite internet kit using my Payoneer card. This equipment is strictly necessary to maintain internet access so I can continue working, uploading large files, and communicating with my students. I acted entirely in good faith. Before making this purchase on September 30, 2026, I explicitly called Payoneer phone support. I informed the representative of my intention to buy a Starlink terminal with my card and asked if it was permitted. I was not warned that this transaction was prohibited or could lead to an account closure. Had I been informed, I would not have used the Payoneer card. Shortly after the transaction, my account was blocked without explanation. I am now cut off from my income during wartime. I respectfully request: A manual review of the closure decision and reinstatement of my account. A review of the phone call recording from September 30, which proves I sought prior approval and was given no warning. If reinstatement is impossible, confirmation that I may open a new account to continue receiving my Udemy payouts, now that I am aware of this specific system restriction. Thank you for your fair and humane review of this case. Yurii Bobyr Customer ID: 27414913

Title: Utter garbage verification process and completely useless compliance system My experience with Payoneer has been absolutely terrible. For a company that charges substantial fees for its services, I expected at least a basic level of competence when it came to account verification. Instead, I have spent my time dealing with repeated document rejections, unclear requirements and a verification system that does not even function properly. I am an Indian passport holder with valid residency and identification in both the UAE and Bahrain. I have an Emirates ID, Bahrain ID, valid residence documents and an Indian passport. My account is for a UAE company, so I initially submitted my valid Emirates ID. It was rejected repeatedly without any useful explanation. I then submitted my passport and the additional documents requested. Some documents were still showing as under review and my business owner information had already been approved. Then Payoneer asked me to submit a photo of myself with today’s date. Fine. Except their own website would not allow me to submit it. Every time I clicked Submit, instead of opening the photo submission process, the website jumped to an unrelated eBay section. I even made a screen recording proving the technical problem. And while I was trying to get this technical issue resolved, Payoneer simply declined the entire application. What exactly is a customer supposed to do when your compliance team asks for a document but your own system does not provide a functioning way to submit it? The most frustrating part is the complete lack of common sense. If there is an issue with a document, explain specifically what the issue is and what document you require. If there is a technical problem preventing a customer from completing verification, fix it or provide an alternative submission method. Simply rejecting documents and eventually declining the account solves nothing. I was genuinely interested in using Payoneer for my international business transactions. After this experience, I have very little confidence in either their verification system or the way their compliance process is being handled. A financial services company handling customers’ money should have a verification process considerably better than this.

I am posting this review because I believe other business owners should be aware of the potential difficulties involved in recovering account access after changing a registered phone number. I am asking Payoneer to resolve the underlying issue rather than continuing to repeat the same verification process.

Payoneer steals my hard earned money!!! Their stock price went rocket high by stealing their clients' money!!! Their website is not working, mobile app keeps asking for proof of business and I have been receiving emails from different support staff (perhaps the names are AI generated) asking for the SAME THING over and over again!!! They have zero customer service. They took all of my personal ID. NOW THEY GHOSTED their customers along with their money. I may not have a lot sitting in there but still it's my money. They don't even have a single reply to all the ANGRY USERS here. WTF. I am so very angry!

Hello. My account was blocked due to duplicate accounts created years ago by mistake. I have $0 turnover on all accounts and no fraudulent intent. Now I am an artist from Ukraine needing Payoneer to open an Etsy shop. Official forms and Facebook bot are looping and not responding. Please help me manually review my case

I have had a terrible experience with Payoneer. Everyone, please be cautious. On the 24th, a customer made two payments to me using their credit card. The customer's credit card company cleared the payments within 10 minutes, yet Payoneer kept me waiting for six days. Today—the 29th—Payoneer cancelled both payments without sending any prior notification, leaving my customer angry with me. To make matters even more absurd, they claim it will take 7–10 business days to process the refunds. It is a bizarre situation. When I spoke to customer support, they simply expressed their helplessness. I have had a truly awful experience; I will stay away from this problematic payment method in the future. If you value security, avoid them—their service is terrible. I am personally deeply frustrated.

In May 2025, I sent about 1,500 euros from my PayPal business account to my euro account at Payoneer. While the money was in transit, Payoneer blocked my account. Fine, if that's their decision, it's their right. But they still haven't returned my money!!! The funds never made it to my account balance, yet their system received the money, and they have confirmed this many times. Imagine that: they still haven't returned it. I regularly send them tickets asking for my money back, several messages every month. And they still haven't returned my money. It looks like they have simply stolen it. It's very sad to realize this. Please, everyone who is considering whether or not to start using the Payoneer payment system, read this review and draw your own conclusions: this company is capable of robbing its customers. Stay away from this company, or you will regret it just as I did.

Stuck at 87% Registration — Typo in address, automated system rejecting documents.

I was trying to verify my documents, and I did place a bank statement as asked, and all of a sudden, after 1 hour of submitting, the account was suspended. They mailed me and said: (Please note, we will not be able to reactivate your Payoneer account. We will also not be able to reply to any queries you send to our Customer Care Department.) Which means they will not even try to find out what went wrong or the causes that led to the suspension. Just closed forever. This is so unprofessional when dealing with a client.

Simply fraudulent and rude service. No respect for the customer, no desire to somehow solve the problems

I applied for a new Payoneer account over a week ago, and it has been stuck in 'Under Review' status ever since. My Verification Center is completely empty with no option to upload my ID or documents. System seems completely glitched and stuck. Customer ID: 107000895. Please assign a representative to fix my Verification Center status immediately.
