Our experience with Travelocity was…

Our experience with Travelocity was horrible. After booking our flight and hotel round-trip later we found out that the hotel was not all inclusive. After trying to change to an all-inclusive hotel they wanted to charge us an extra $2000 on top of the $2513.03 that we already paid. After being on hold for several hours and being toyed around . Later we found out that they cancel our hotel and refunded the money for the hotel and the outgoing flight. They did not give us our money back for the incoming flight which total $998.76. I would not recommend using this online site it’s a total rip off we are still in the process of trying to get our money back. We purchased the insurance which was a joke. It was non refundable and they gave us some excuse using the fact that since we purchased the insurance we can get our money back for the outgoing flight but not the return flight. I repeat do not use this site. They didn’t mention the fact that Delta charges a 200 fee for canceled flights so we are at a loss anyways. This site is a rip off.

I booked our flights and purchased the travel insurance. Two days before our trip my husband had to have emergency surgery to remove his appendix. I called travelocity to cancel our flights and get our money back and they said that they couldn’t refund our flights because we bought them under a promotion. So they take your money for travel insurance knowing that they will NEVER refund. Even with a written doctors letter. Don’t ever use travelocity. I will continue to post until I get my money. S. Hermann.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER SO I BOOKED A ROOM FOR MY FAMILY FOR 2 DAYS AND I GET CONFIRMATION. I GAVE MY FAMILY THE INFORMATION AND THEN THEY CALL ME THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM SO I CALLED TRAVELOCITY THIS IS AT 9:45 AM THEY TELL ME THEIR SYSTEMS ARE DOWN AND GET MY NUMBER TO CALL ME IN 1 HOUR. I CALLED BACKED BECAUSE THEY NEVER CALLED ME AGAIN THAT THEIR SYSTEM IS DOWN FOR ME TO CALL BACK IN 1 HOUR. BY NOW MY FAMILY GETS KICKED OUT OF THE ROOM FOR NON PAYMENT. LUCKILY THEY WERE ABLE TO PAY CASH FOR 1 DAY. AT 3:45 PM I CALLED BACK THEIR SYSTEM IS STILL DOWN. COME TO FIND OUT THEY HAD CANCELLED THE RESERVATION BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T CONFIRM MY CARD INSTEAD OF CALLING TO VERIFY THEY JUST CANCELLED IT AND DIDN'T THINK TO GIVE ME NOTICE. I BOOKED WITH EXPEDIA THEY WERE GREAT I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM. TRAVELOCITY NEVER AGAIN.

Horrible

Hello. My name is Jazmine. On June 7th, 2019 I attempted to book round trip flights from Philadelphia International Airport to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and back to the Philadelphia International Airport. Initially my trip dates were June 18th, 2019-June24th, 2019. Initially I attempted to book twice online and I was unsuccessful because the initial flight had been booked up by the time I was finished, so I gave Travelocity a call to book the trip through you guys to ensure everything was done properly. I was on the phone with 2 different Travelocity representatives for 1 hour and 48 minutes beginning at 10:19 a.m. The first representative attempted to find alternatives for my trip and we switched around my dates trying to keep the cost of the flight as close as possible to the flight that I initially was trying to book, which was $205.00 total round trip. We tried different alternatives to no avail. I was redirected to a customer service representative because the round trip flight that was book had a problem. The outgoing flight to Atlanta was confirmed by Frontier, but the incoming flight back to Philadelphia was not confirmed by Spirit. The customer service representative was very nice. We agreed that it was best to book a separate flight, so that is what we did. We attempted numerous charges on my VISA card for multiple reasons. The system was slow or a flight became fully booked as she attempted to book. There was finally a flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia which had an overlay in Detroit for the morning of June 25th, 2018 at 8:22 a.m. I confirmed numerous times that the flight had an overlay in Detroit. The flight that was chosen was a flight from Atlanta to Detroit and not an overlay flight from Atlanta to Detroit to Philadelphia. There also was a $25 reimbursement/credit adjustment to my bank account from Travelocity for the difference in the flight that I was initially supposed to pay and what I actually ended up paying. I also have email confirmation of that transaction from Travelocity. It has been over the 24 hours since I’ve booked my flight. They are trying to charge me $150-300 to change my flight when their representative is the one who made the error by choosing the wrong flight. I do not live in Detroit nor do I have extra funds to pay more money to get this error rectified. I will be coming back from a funeral in Atlanta. I do not need these types of errors to occur right now in my life. Also, when I spoke to a representative today on June 9th, 2019 the representative told me that my incoming flight confirmation number was nonexistent and that I never spoke to nor booked my flight through Travelocity. I have email confirmation that I absolutely did so I am unsure why she would lie to me when I spent almost two hours on the phone trying to book my flights. Something weird is going on and I recently had a death in my family. I don’t have the time, energy, nor funds for things like this to happen right now. Something needs to be done immediately because I am going to the funeral in Atlanta and I need to be able to get home without any issues. This is ridiculous!!! I will never use their service ever again.

The worst booking experience

The worst booking experience! We are traveling with a toddler for our first family vacation. There was no nonstop flights available at the time of booking. 2 weeks away from our vacation a nonstop option from the same airline, Delta becomes available. I politely called to see if an accommodation can be made and we can be placed on the direct flight. Travelocity proceed to say that they will need a $200 fee per person in order to make the changes which are required by Delta. I proceeded to call Delta and the representative said that a fee can be waived but has to be handled by Travelocity. 9 calls later dealing with hung up calls and kept being transferred up the chain to a higher supervisor with no resolution. A three way call was held with myself, travelocity rep. and delta rep.yelling at each other that its who Delta needs to waive the fee. The delta rep. stating that the booking was handled by Travelocity and therefore they need to waive the penalty fee and not Delta. Travelocity telling Delta that they are responsible to waive the fee. Delta proceeds to say that if booked through them this accomadation would be handled on case by case and a fee would be waived. In conclusion Travelocity failed me as a customer today. They transferred me to corporate to yet call Delta on their own and refuse to accommodate my travel. As a customer I spent the whole day being passed around to call Delta, then to call Travelocity then to call travelocity and yet everyone has failed me in customer service. I Refuse to ever book another travel throught Travelocity/Expedia as their way of treating me was unacceptable. Delta has failed me as well because talking to me on the phone they were willing to make the changes with out penalties but according to Travelocity went back on their word. Traveling with a toddler isn't easy and isn't cheap. They wanted to charge me a $600 penalty fee to change it from a 1 stop to a nonstop. $600 for us is a lot of money and both of these companies have failed us.

No help whatsoever

First, it said my card didn't go through so I ran it again and lo and behold, the next day I found out my card was charged twice. Then, Travelocity and the airline both charged me for my trip...so I had double the amount I had budgeted withdrawn from my account resulting in overdraft fees. The after 2 hours on the phone they told me it was an airline "glitch" and couldn't refund my overdraft fees but did eventually give me a credit on my account for $100. I went to use it on a hotel but cancelled due to family death. Of course, I couldn't get the $100 credit back after I had "redeemed" it even though I hadn't actually. I will never use them again.

Seafood, No food

I just had one of the most horrible buffet meals ever tasted. The Friday seafood buffet at the Isles Pompano Beach, leaves everything to be desired. The $32 all you can eat buffet is devoid of quality, tasty seafood dishes. As a veteran of Las Vegas-style buffets, both quality and variety are missing from this overpriced spread. For the price one could reasonably expect dishes such as lobster, prime rib, creative fish dishes. Unfortunately no such items on the menu. Lest readers think I'm anti Isles, I recently posted a 5 star review about another eatery, Myron's.

What is the purpose of insurance?

Jet airways went out of business and travelocity refused to rebook or refund my flight. They told me to file a claim thru my travel protection I had purchase from them. My claim was denied. I called back today (2 hour phone call) and they again refuse to help- told me to pursue it thru my credit card. Unacceptable all around.

Check into the days inn near lake junaluska in Asheville over an hour ago. And have been battling with Travelocity for over an hour to try to get a refund because the television was broken in the Wi-Fi was not working in the hotel. After the manager refused to refund my money because he said it went through Travelocity. I called Travelocity and when they call the front desk the desk clerk said the manager was not in. I'm waiting in the lobby until he showed up and gave him the phone to let him speak to the agent and he lied about the television and Wi-Fi and supposedly hung up on them by mistake. So they will be renting out my room that I was in for only 10 minutes and you getting another $280 and keeping mine. Excellent way to do business Travelocity 😠😠😠

Holiday Inn Express - On hold for an hour

Holiday Inn Express - Dallas Airport, John Carpenter Freeway. Do not trust the shuttle. I called the hotel and was put on hold. 15 min later I was told to please hold. After 45 min, I got another hotel shuttle and tipped the guy to take me to the Holiday Inn. The poor guy behind the counter was alone (9 at night) and had 8 people waiting in line. The phone was ringing and he did not answer. I was one of those people as I was still on hold. The room was great, but the coffee maker was broke.

Travelocity Stole My Money

Travelocity double-booked me on my flight. I didn't notice the mistake on the confirmation email they sent due to unfamiliarity with the way they present information, and the fact that the phrase '2 passengers' was never used in the email. I also got confused about the price of the flight, so I didn't question my credit card statement either. Months later, the airline pointed out there were 2 tickets for me on the same flight, but neither Travelocity or the airline would refund my money because it had been over 24 hours and it was an Economy ticket. I'm not blameless in this, but a better company would recognize that an error had been made on their end and hold themselves accountable, instead of making it my responsibility to keep them accountable. 24 hours to notice a mistake made regarding a trip booked months in advance is a very short amount of time.

I took 4 hours today to change a flight. I was on hold on two different times for an hour until I spoke to a customer service person. After speaking to the customer service person, he changed my husbands flight instead of mine. I called back and was on hold for 45 minutes to talk to a supervisor. Very nice people but it their poor staffing and processes make for an unfavorable experience.

One Star Is Too High

Once you've made a hotel reservation through Travelosity you're going to pay, even if plans change. Travelosity does not bother to read your email request to cancel dates when your plans change even with two weeks notice prior to the stay. My advice...NEVER Use Travelosity if there's any chance your trip might change!!!
