TRAVELOCITY.COM IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY

TRAVELOCITY.COM IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY Travelocity’s Philippines based Customer Desk misspelled my first name (he missed the letter “e” in Gregory). In the post 9/11 world, this means that you will be denied boarding the transatlantic flight. Over the next 3 days, I spent a total of 18 hours trying to impress on them that since they took my money it is their responsibility to call the airline and fix it. They told me that this is how I spelled my name to them (Could you believe it!) and just walked away from me. Incidentally, I am convinced that they routinely make people wait for long hours on the phone hoping that a disgruntled customer would get discouraged and would just walk away. Having read all the complaints about Travelocity, it seems to be pointless registering another complaint. However, let me say it just for the record: THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

Would not even give 1 star, I booked a trip for a college tour and purchased cancellation insurance just Incase made a choice which we did. Went online to cancel and it state call unable to cancel - booked a car though Hertz and they cancel no problem. Called Travelocity and they told me I need to call the airline, and cancellation ins is for Death, loss job only. First I booked though you and you can’t call and cancel for me, charged me a fee to book though u for what. Did everything on my own never book though them again. No help bad customer service

I rented a car in Ireland from Europcar using Travelocity . When I went to pick up the car at Dublin I found that they would not honor the Complete insurance package that I had purchased. I was forced to pay 40 Euros a day in order to get the car. Upon returning home I was on hold with Travelocy for over an hous and as of today I still have not been credited with any sort of refund for the insurance that I paid Travelocity. DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE FROM TRAVELOCITY AS IT WILL NOT BE HONOURED BY THE CAR COMPANY<

Worst airline booking of my life

I booked a flight on April 1st with Delta, KLM, Kenya Airways, and South African airways. Over the next few weeks, I proceeded to recieved regular emails about cancelations. Each time, I had to call in to get them to reissue the ticket, spending over an hour on the phone. A few days before my trip, I happened to log into Delta again to check my flights and noticed that two legs of my trip were again missing. I finally called Delta directly, and they were able to reissue the tickets for me. Had I not checked myself online, I would never have known that those two flights had been canceled. Save yourself the headache and book with a real travel company. I travel all the time, including online bookings, and have never had such a horrible experience.

Why THE F did i buy insurance???

I bought insurance on my flight in case anything happened and I could not make the flight. Some issues came up and I was told I would loose all my money if I cancelled even though the people I am going to stay with are sick. They told me since they are not my immediate family members the insurance won't help. WHY THE F did I buy insurance???????????!!!! Then I called the insurance to ask about it and to tell me what the insurance is specifically for since I do not understand it and this worker told me she could not explain the insurance. Why am I buying insurance if the workers do not even know what the F it is for and how to explain it to customers????!!!!!

Travelocity "Travel Protection' insurance is a scam

I needed to cancel my wife's flight. I had purchased "Travel Protection" on the Travelocity website when I booked ($46.00 for a $300 ticket). Travelocity said I couldn't cancel unless it was for a medical reason. This was never stated up front. I tried to explain that I didn't buy "Travel Protection" for a medical emergency. Luckily, this cancellation was for a medical reason, and I am a physician. This wasn't good enough, even after offering to text them a copy of my license. They said I first need to cancel the policy, which makes no sense at all, and then I needed to submit a written claim to include the "clinical notes from the hospital". Further, they blamed it on United Airlines. All of this took several hours on hold. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put back on hold again for another 2 hours until they hung up on me. I called back and finally got a supervisor who told me Travelocity doesn't have anything to do with the "Travel Protection" they sold me, and I have to call the insurance company. BEWARE OF THE TRAVELOCITY "TRAVEL PROTECTION" SCAM WHICH AT BEST GETS YOU A REFUND IN CASE YOU ARE HOSPITALIZED.

Travelocity site sent us to a lower…

Travelocity site sent us to a lower price hotel through Cancelon. We paid and we were unable to go on our 25th Anniversary trip due to my Having BPPV. They refused to refund or move our reservation. They were rude to my husband and myself. After I got out of the hospital I found out Cancelon is a resale site! Shame on you Travelocity for using a scam company like this. We are out money which for retired folks is a big deal. At this point we will pay full price and use a site that that works with the customers that keep them in business.

All I want to do is add one more night…

All I want to do is add one more night to my booking and I have been on hold for 58min. It's ridiculous. I had no idea Travelocity was this bad until I had to use them. The savings is not worth the hassle of deal with a terrible website and even poorer customer service.

Do not book with Travelocity

Do not book with Travelocity! My friends and I booked a trip to Cancun, Mexico where we were to stay at the Omni Resort and Villas. When we booked our package, we thought our flight was going to be to Cancun. When were were at the gate in EWR we realized that our flight was to Belize City which is another 1.5 hour flight away. Thankfully we realized that we were not flying to Cancun before landing in Belize. We had to buy a $320 flight each from Belize to Cancun last minute. We also had to book another flight home that left from Cancun and not Belize. What started as a $1000 trip went to almost $2000. When we called Travelocity they were nothing but rude and unhelpful. They denied it was their fault and told us we should have called sooner. They put three young college girls on a flight to a completely different country without any warning. Thankfully everything worked out, but this could have been an extremely dangerous situation.

Beware the misleading claims!

I've just attempted to rent a car for when I'm in Brindisi, next month via Travelocity. The cheapest rate was @ $21 per day so for 4 days I was expecting a bottom line of $84 plus any taxes and diesel, good job I checked .... Travelocity tried to stripe me for, $238.... Tip. Ignore the BOLD print - double check the small print...... or of course find another search engine because that's all they seem to be!

Please stay away from Travelocity

Please stay away from Travelocity. The hotel that I have booked was dirty and with no WiFi. The room was with spiders. Nobody cleaned it. I called Travelocity to cancel the room and get refund. First I spoke with there representative from Philippines. It wasn't easy communication but I was told that I'll get my refund. An hour later I receive a call from the Travelocity management and was told that they cannot refund the money back. Travelocity do not check their partners and service that is provided. Travelocity do not help you in case of their or their partners fault. Travelocity book and get your money very fast. Travelocity did not refund me like they told me first. Hotel Diana House, Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. 12-March-2019

NEVER EVER USE

On a Tues night we book flight/hotel/car for a funeral in NY. We study the best options and make our selection. Wife puts C/C info in twice and it states sorry can't process contact your bank. I grab my card and same thing. This time we check our bank and they took 1400.00 but still no confirmation. Call to find out there system is updating(can't find our info) and she needs to see a supervisor. They find it but states nothing they can do. Call back later and also stated that the charges can take 5-7 work days to release. Following day still no $ and no reservations(prices now up $500). Called that night after work and $ was released to my account. They would not honor the price as it was there system update that screwed everything up. After 25 minutes of them trying to find me the best $ for today(I already did that) she finally states it is against their policy to do any reimbursement for their mistake. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE
