ridiculous!! do NOT use

Hi. My name is Cassia and have tried to contact Travelocity in all ways and sooo disappointed on how my complaint has been handled. I booked a flight and hotel room (7452864556318). 10min after booking, I noticed the bad reviews on that hotel on google (the reviews were drastically different than what travelocity was showing us on their website) and tried to cancel ( 10MIN AFTER RESERVING IT!!!) I called Travelocity and was informed that a fee would be applied to it which I asked to be waved as it was an honest mistake and had been done only 10min prior to it. After staying over 40min on an international call ( I was overseas in Honduras) I was informed that no one at Travelocity was able to communicate with the hotel because they only spoke Spanish! They told me not to worry and that they would contact me in the next 24h. I wasn’t contacted by anyone and after that 24h period called again, same response, nobody called and when I called again I asked to speak with a manager ( I felt her extremely unwilling to help) that put on hold for 52min when I finally had to hang up as I had to board my flight back to the states. Till today, nobody has contacted me. We are ( Me and my daughter) very concerned because at this point all the hotels we found under our standards and budged are now sold out!!!! My daughter is going to foreign country from a foreign country ( she’s in Brazil) for the first time by herself and we don’t even know where she will be staying because of the lack of communication from Travelocity. Very disappointed to say at least. Travelocity has totally ruined the experience for her and I’ll be very reluctant to use Travelocity again. As right now, I had to miss work and have already been on hold with customer services for about 15min. It’s a shame that Travelocity would treat their costumers like this being inconsiderate, disrespectful and dismissive with a matter that, for me, as it is relate to my child safety, is so important and time sensitive. No one has been able to solve my problem, I have 0 options now as all the hotels we would like to stay is sold out and I haven’t yet, heard anything from Travelocity. Shame on you all!

I cannot agree more with those people…

I cannot agree more with those people who have posted very bad experience they have had with Travelocity.Ca Call Center. Recently I had a hotel booking through Travelocity a night accomdation Hotel Flordaliso, Sirmone in Lake Garda, Italy. I contacted Travelocity Call Center if they could assist me to find out from the Hotel if they would allow me to move my booking one day forward ( ie that is to say, I am looking to check one day earlier) without any penalty. I started my with contact with Travelocity Call Center on July 5th.. The staff at the Call Center acted in a very professional manner in saying that Travelocity Policy does not penalize customers for making such changes. It would depend on each individual hotel concerned. This sounds very reasonable and logical. Travelocity pride themselves that they would have the outcome within the next 24 hrs and I would be informed by phone as as by email. So, I kept my finger crossed hoping to get an answer from them very soon. To my frustration, I have been kept waiting one after another day with the same excuses that their staff had been phoning the hotel everyday but they could not get hold of anyone at the hotel. Travelocity Call Center apologized to me for the delay and repeatedly assured me they would have an answer for very soon. I asked them "how many more days I would have to wait, What would be considered " very soon". They could not give me a definite answer. However, they assured me they have assigned a special urgent assignment group to take upon this task to expedite the process. It all sounds so good??????. Is it really????? I told them there was no delay in accepting my payment on their part, but when there are concerns which need their assistants, there is nothing in sight to get some kind of resolution. It is also ridiculous to mention that on one occasion the staff at Travelocity Call Center indicated to me that he managed to speak to someone at the hotel, but the problem was that there was no one who could speak English, so, the Travelocity Staff asked me to call back the next at a specific time so that the Call Center would be able to speak to someone at the Hotel ( who would speak English ) so that this matter could be resolved. I phoned back the next day at the specific time. To my agony, the staff at the Call Center again told me that no one was answering the phone call. Again, it was another delay. Further to this agonizing experience, the call center was making the matter more confusing by terming this concern of mine as a request to cancel the booking in spite of the fact that I responded to them that I was not trying to cancel my booking. As a matter of fact I was only requesting for a change to my booking ie. to request for me to check in one day earlier. At no time did I ask to cancel my booking. I am not sure if they are train intentionally to mislead all their customers and confuse them until they are so frustrated that they do not call in again anymore. As of now, today is ( 2019 July 14th) my concern remains in the air since July 5th. Having gone through this episode, I wow I would never do with Travelocity ca again.

THE WORST TRAVEL SITE ON THE INTERNET

I booked an airline reservation through this site and had to cancel. When I called to cancel the flight due to health reasons. I was told I should submit medical documents to the company to get airline credit but was told I had to cancel first. When I called back to cancel I was told I could change my reservations with a penalty. After several hours of phone conversations with totally inaccurate information, and several callbacks from "higher up" supervisors, I was told there was no cancellation or changes permitted. This website uses totally ignorant people from a foreign country to talk to their customers. Their "agents" are totally misinformed and strictly read from a script knowing nothing of company policy. I would never use this site again nor recommend its use to anyone.

Identical to mother site Expedia with a few slight benefits and a worse call center!!

Owned by Expedia using the Expedia system and interface there is NO difference except that they have NO reward program; but they DO HAVE more discount codes readily available. Call center experience is worse than Expedia... but with the right rate codes you can get the Expedia rate down by a few percent. Accuracy wise 100% identical to mother site Expedia.

Two reservations

In May I made two reservations. One for May 24th and June 22. I called to confirm my June 22nd reservations the travelocity staff had a very heavy accent. As I was discussing the June 22nd reservation the staff started mentioning the May reservation and made me so confused with the location and dates and I bearly could understand the staff. I asked him to let me end the call and call back another date because I was so confused with this accent and he kept mentioning the reservation for May. The staff refused and kept going on. I finally gave up and said I'll call back another day. I ended up calling back 4 days later. I asked them to Cancel all reservations under my name. They assured me all reservations were canceled. I chose a different travel agency whose staff spoks proper English. I came to find out that travelocity did not cancel all reservations under my name (phone number) and I was charged for 4 rooms for June 22. Appearently there was a spelling error. A letter was transposed in the last name. I called and explained the situation to Ivy a travelocity staff member who was very kind and contacted the hotel La Quinta in And spoke a staff member named Kerry from La Quinta hotel (Phoenix )and explained the issue and the staff ( Kerry ) at the hotel agreed to reverse the charges. That was June 28,2019. Ivy said she noted the update in her system and that the reverse transaction should take place if I don't recieve an email, to contact my bank and notify them and look out for the email. I thx Ivy for her help and asked to talk to someone to tell them what a great job Ivy did for helping me. I left my praise with the supervisor staff. On July 3rd I notice I hadnt recieved a response I didn't recieve an email nor reverse transactions.I called back spoke to the next travelocity staff who did follow up with the La Quinta hotel staff in the Phoenix AZ area and was told that they are denying to reverse the charges and denys that they have a staff member at La Quinta hotel name Kerry and now refuses to reverse the charges. Mind you we never stayed at that hotel. I was charged for 4 rooms, after La Quinta hotel made a promise with Travelocity to reverse the charges. I then spoke to a supervisor at the highest level at Travelocity the supervisor denied any responsibility on their behalf after I ask them to cancel all reservations under my name ( phone number) when I asked if they could verify that the phone transactions with Ivy and the La Quinta staff Kerry accured the supervisor from travelocity refused. Travelocity staff Ivy spoke with the La Quinta hotel staff Kerry and had the proof but would not confirm. Said no she will not listen to the recording to help me. I wanted to make sure that that Ivy spoke with hotel staff and that she had the correct name of the La Quinta staff. Travelocity supervisor you did not provide good customer service after your staff made promises. Poor customer service. THIS IS Wasn't the 1st MISTAKE travelocity has made with my reservations. I will never use your service again. Another issues is majority of their agents do not speak clear English. Their accents are so strong I am unable to understand the conversation. My trips through you have ended poorly because of your service. Most problems don't start with your agents....it starts at the leadership level.

Natures Campgrounds in Voluntown…

Natures Campgrounds in Voluntown Connecticut: To the owner of the campground; your employees made an error, not me. Please address it with them and do not take it out on your customers. The staff misrepresented the rules of the owner. I came to visit my brother in my converted school bus. I was given a (camper) pink pad instead of a visitor (yellow) we went to go shopping. when we returned I notice the bus wasn't plugged into the outlet (only have a fan running for my dog, it was 85 and humid.) apparently the owner UNPLUGGED the cord for the bus AND wrapped around my mirror. i'm sure that trigger made his presence known. The owner of the camp ground shows up 2 min later and explains that campground(he) dose not allow 2 campers (I have commercial plates on my vehicle )on one site. This was not said to us when I got here. The girl behind the counter that check me in asked about the bus, I told her it was a "livable" space and that I would be sleeping in it. They knew exactly what the bus was and still proceed to write me up and open the gate knowing that I had a vehicle that I would be sleeping in. if I had known that I would be given a heard time about the bus ... I would have not stayed here at all. For $60 a nite, you can't use electric to power a fan. I was told that if I wanted to stay here, I would have to park my bus on the out side the main gate. I understand that everyone has rules.... I just didn't care for the way he notified us of his rules that where not explained to me upon arrival. The owner was arrogant and self centered. word for word "I own this place and this is the way it's going to be!" As for the place in my opinion.... this is the Central Falls of camp grounds. the bathrooms are dirty and full of cob/spider webs and the property is not maintaind. The Staff is nice, but the owner needs a serious attitude adjustment. he has lost a customer. I will never come here again. I will pass on my review of this place everytime someone asks me about it. if you have any more questions (the general public or the owner of the property. please call me 401-391-7069)

Book direct with the airlines

I booked a multicity ticket from Phnom Penh back to Phnom Penh on Vietnam Airlines for an elderly friend. Mid trip I needed to change the final leg from Hong Kong to Phnom Penh by one day. The fare rules clearly stated when I booked the fare was changeable for a fee plus fare difference. I was happy to pay. I spent 9 hours on their Facebook Chat to be told it could not be done even though the new date had seats. I called the head office of Vietnam Airlines in Hanoi who rebooked the flight. Said it was not a problem and I had to pay $160-. But as I had booked through Travelocity they had to reissue the ticket. Again on the Facebook chat link for a few hours and they refused to reissue the ticket. In my view a breach of contract but I am not a lawyer. All I got from Travelocity was that THEY had no inventory. I feel it is just not worth their time to reissue a customers ticket, as the commission on the ticket has already been paid to Travelocity. They have their commission so basically do not care. Travelocity told me over a 3 day period they would call Vietnam Airlines. They never did. The airline sent me a full history of the booking (PNR purge) and there was zero contact from Travelocity. The staff too have very poor english. I am unsure where the calls were redirected from the States but their grammar and lack of basic understanding said it all. I had to buy a new ticket on Cathay for over $300-. Vietnam Airlines were fantastic to deal with and tried their best. They told me to book direct with the airline in future. I would not use Travelocity or any Agent site after this. I will only book with the airlines direct. Keep away from Travelocity.

Horrendous

Absolutely horrific, unfortunately the slowest customer service I've ever seen in my life. Took me an hour and a half to book a flight, which isn't the problem but they require so many extra bs fees that borderline scam you out of your money instead of legitimately helping you with anything. Note to all customers: never buy the protection fee for the flights you book. It doesn't protect or refund anything.

Worst experience booking a rental…

Worst experience booking a rental car!!!!! False advertising!!!! We have friends coming into town for the 4th of July and decided to rent a car we could all fit in. I found a great deal on Travelocity for a premium SUV for $34 a day. So I booked it and received confirmation for pickup on the 3rd. Not 1 hr later, I received a call from the rental car company saying they do not have any premium SUV’s available for the days I booked. I called Travelocity and asked how they can confirm a reservation when the vehicle is not available. They kept trying to book me another one at different companies, but the rate was over $100 a day. About 2 hrs later they said they could book me one for $640 instead of the $168. Travelocity would then reimburse me $200 after the fact. Why would I trust liars to pay me back. Book me a similar vehicle at the same price I confirmed and you pay the difference.

I have been staying at the Hudson Hotel

I have been staying at the Hudson Hotel for the past three days and my experience had been NOTHING LESS THAN FIVE STAR SERVICE!!!!! There staff is so accommodating and SINCERELY KIND HEARTED! One situation that stands out is i lost my retainers that i just paid $500 for literally four days ago and i was at breakfast and thought i threw them away the helpful staff WENT THRU the trash with me to help me find my items. They siding have to do that but I’m so glad they did. They were very apologetic for something that was clearly my fault. Not just one person but a few of the other team members who were passing by just so happen to hear me sobbing and they to stopped to help me look for my retainers. Good news I did end up finding Them I ordered to give them a tip to say thank you and the kitchen supervisor declined stating it was just a pleasure to be of service. I am a firm believer of serving others guided by Excellence and Love and Hudson Hotel showed me in this moment that they also live by this mpro. Thank you Staff

Hesitant, But Glad I Did It

Last November, I booked a flight + accommodation bundle deal from the United States to Barcelona, Spain for an unbeatable price. I had used Expedia in the past with success, but never before Travelocity. Online reviews had me skeptical, but I took the risk and carefully reviewed my purchase. I confirmed my flight online by reviewing my reservation on the airline’s website. I also directly contacted my accommodation by email to confirm my reservation was placed by the third party (Travelocity). I did contact Travelocity customer service a few times with some questions that were ultimately answered. Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase and the service I received. My flight + accommodation together were notably cheaper than a flight alone if purchased directly through the airline.

I booked a trip through Travelocity

I booked a trip through Travelocity. The flight offered was Air Canada. I was ticketed for another airline, Air Canada Rouge, a budget airline subsidiary, on a flight to Barcelona. I was not ticketed right away, and received an email saying that "Ticketing is in progress." This was for an Air Canada flight. Today I checked on the progress and I was not ticketed for an Air Canada flight, I was ticketed for an Air Canada Rouge flight, which is an affiliated but completely different budget airline. I booked under the assumption that I was buying flight with Air Canada, and was led to believe this through the advertising. Nowhere during the process did it state that I would be flying on an Air Canada Rouge flight. As a person with disabilities, I expressly selected the Air Canada flights because I have flown them internationally before. The comfort and service and amenities in normal Air Canada flights help make travel possible for me. Having been assigned to a budget airline without my consent and express knowledge now makes a nearly 20 hour trip likely unbearable. This practice of purposefully misleading customers into thinking they are booking with a well-respected company to be tricked into purchasing with a separate airline is fraudulent. Moreover, Travelocity has a 24 hour cancellation policy, yet they did not ticket my flight right away, revealing the true airline after the 24 hours had passed (and only still once I logged into my online account-nothing was emailed to me), so I was not given the opportunity to consider this information in light of the cancellation policy. When calling Travelocity and speaking to a supervisor, he said I could cancel my airfare (within the cancellation window apparently) but not the hotel, so I'd be stuck with a hotel that I couldn't get to or would have to pay significantly more for. He also said it is plainly laid out that it's AC Rouge, which I have an email where it says nothing of the kind. He basically called me a liar, and I basically told him to go screw himself. I'd rather pay hundreds more than give another dime to a shady company.

Travelocity... What an Atrocity!!!

I have booked my vacations in the past with Travelocity, and the experience was fair. After this last experience I will never use their booking services again. I recently booked a vacation package to Cartagena, Colombia which included flights+hotel accommodations, and a rental car. The trip is still a month away and I am already having issues with their lack of customer service. This does not give me a feeling of comfort in how this vacation will go. I booked a room with two queen beds for 2 guests and they have it listed as 1 guest. When I requested they make the changes, they told me it will cost an additional $177.00 USD per night for the second guest to share my room. I brought it to their attention that their website clearly states the "Base Rate Per Room Includes 2 Guests". Now they do not want to honor this price and want me to pay an additional $708.00 for the 4 night stay. Please be forewarned they do not honor what they advertise and will try and up-charge and overcharge for everything. Definitely shop elsewhere for a cheaper, stress-free vacation experience. I may update this review if the trip turns out better than the initial booking experience.

Will be my last experience with travelocity.

Ive some good experiences with travelocity when there are no complications and its a straight shot. However...... I just spent 30minutes with British airways, 30 minutes with Iberia and finally travelocity tried to help. After 1hour and 25 minutes and trying to just get my flights upgraded to next class at a fee, they wanted to charge me 275.00 for change fee plus another 3000 in addition to my 1200. They only spoke with Iberia agency desk and no other review was done. I could go online and purchase the same tickets through British airways for premium economy for 1500 total. I don’t want to just give up my original 1200.00 because they wont refund it. Nor would they look online at the website to confirm difference. That will be my last time working with travelocity.

Horrible experience

I paid for my daughter to travel to w Africa in May 2019 for a long awaited family reunion.Everything had been booked and paid for, with no problems on my end. I even went and confirmed the booking on Travelocity’s website 2 days before the booking. Arrived at the airport on her departure day to find out that American Airlines had no record of her booking and couldn’t figure out why. After several long hours talking to Travelocity’s, AA’s and even British Airways customer service reps we discovered that Travelocity had failed to transmit a booking code over to AA. Needless to say she missed her flight. What was even more galling was that AA refused to put her on the later outbound flights due to overbooking and my daughter had to cancel her entire trip. So our family reunion was ruined!

Travelocity rates Frontier Flt

Travelocity rates Frontier Flt. 630, a nonstop flight between Albuquerque and Denver as a "Good" flight. In reality Flight Stats gives it a "Very Poor" rating and an on-time rating of only 36% with 55% of the flights experiencing "Excessive Delays" which is over 3 hrs. Shows how much you can trust Travelocity.
