Bait and Switch gone wrong

Pre-purchased 2-week car rental along with tickets to Kansas City to visit relatives. After arriving at MCI, Dollar indicated the reserved car is not available and will not provide a substitute for their lack of planning. Instead, they now have alternatives at a now extreme rate of course. Stuck in the middle of nowhere without means to get to the relatives, we pick a one-day rental instead of the 2-week. Dollar tells us there is a refund on the 2-week that will show within 2 billing cycles on our CC and we pay for the one day rental in a separate transaction. During checkout on the one day rental Dollar asks if we want to add all these extras: insurance, offroad assistance, etc. Saying no doesn't matter because they are not listening, they pretend to listen, agree with you, and add it on to your rental anyways. We didn't get a good look at the statement until being on the road and have to waste our vacation time driving back and hanging out with customer service. After 2 billing cycles, the credit for the original 2-week prepaid rental never happened. Emailed Travelocity and Dollar over 20 times who now indicate the unused funds belongs to them. Emailed the directors of customer service for both organizations and it's been over a week without a response. Even though there is no legal transaction to stand on I now have to now deny charges through my CC company who will require proof of services rendered. Judging based on all the emails so far, Dollar doesn't care and is justifying the pirating of our funds while Travelocity Customer Service seems to have no influence on them. At least nobody with enough influence at Travelocity has been involved so far.

My husband and I just got back from…Secrets is the best for adults

My husband and I just got back from Mexico Puerto Vallarta Secrets Hotel. I have to give them a 5 star rating. It wasn’t the first time staying with them and they remembered who we where. I have to give it to our waiters who took care of all our needs. Manuel Coacho, Francisco, Benny, Luis, Daniel, Javier, Pablo, Jan Carlos Noeh, Jaime and Mario. We appreciate everything they did for us that’s why we keep going back. Thank you so much Secrets for always showing us a good time! I can’t wait for February!

Unacceptable customer service

Unacceptable customer service! Actually, nonexistent. Due to the threat of Dorian, we needed to change our flight. After close to 3 hours on hold, the agent was slow and did not know what she was doing. She messed up re-booking and we lost tickets. Then she found alternative - flying through San Juan. That was rather incompetent as this is where the hurricane was coming from. They were unable to find any other alternative. Travelocity is not the company to use. They will not come through for you in extreme situations - very bad!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!

Due to an impending hurricane, my family had to cancel our hotel reservations in Orlando. I actually bought trip insurance for once but I've been trying to contact Travelocity to change/cancel for the last 7 HOURS and no one will help me. I've been repeatedly put on hold, "transferred," and disconnected. I can't remember EVER having such a horrible experience with customer service. I will NEVER book through Travelocity again and I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing it either. This is a nightmare. Not sure if I'll ever see the $300 I spent on these tickets again. >:(

Never give money in advance!!!

We booked an accommodation in Boquete, Panama, with travelocity. Never should have done that!!! We could cancel our reservation up till tuesday 15pm. That day we came back from Santa Fe and arrived in Santa Catalina. Our kids were sick so we wanted to cancel our trip to Boquete. Unfortunately there was no electricity and no other way to contact anyone. At 16AM the electricity was working, so we called the property in Boquete te explain our situation. They understood and said we could have full refund! Then we called travelocity, and they said we were to late to cancel our reservation! We explained them that we got approval of the property in Boquete and even gave them the name of the person we contacted in Boquete. Travelocity only gave us refund for 1 room! If I ask about refund for the second room, I get this answer: We appreciate your time for reaching out to us about the refund of your hotel reservation. We are still contacting the property about the refund for the another room. We will keep you posted as soon as we receive an updates from them. Thank you for your business with travelocity. 1 month later I still did not get the refund!!! And the property at Boquete didn't receive any money! Travelocity is holding on to my money without reason! Never ever will I book again on this site!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Bedford Super 8. The rooms were clean, the staff was great. They let us check in early so we could rest, then gave us a late check out. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We will definitely be staying again.... Thank u Super 8 Staff

A fuir absolument!

A fuir absolument!

0 stars- screamed at by manager

If I could guhe them 0 stars I would. I experienced the worst customer service in my life. After asking to speak to a manager about an outdated policy she proceeded to scream at me about how it wasn't travelocitys job to learn about updated policies. Will never use again.

I used Travelocity to rent a car in…

I used Travelocity to rent a car in Dublin Ireland at Payless/Budget to get to Shannon Airport as my airline changed locations because of the Boeing MAX 8 Grounding. I was told it would be $72.85 US dollars for the 12 hour rental. When I arrived at the airport after flying all night they told me it was 72 Euros and charged me 28 euros for not taking their optional insurance. The $72.85 turned into $113.94 and I was stuck because I had a meeting at 3pm and it was already 9am, so I took the car. I contacted Travelocity and they said I had to take it up with Payless/Budget. I will never use Travelocity again and just learned they are owned by Expedia. There is no respect for customers by this company and be forewarned before using them.

Not a good experience at all...

Not a good experience at all. I booked 2 international tickets in Jan 2019 for trip in Jun 2019. Trip was cancelled by Airlines in April....I requested refund from Travelocity. Initially Travelocity said they can not refund money and need to follow up with Credit card company or Airlines... Seriously??? This is so unprofessional. I am still following up with Travelocity in multiple calls and each time get difference reason. May 1: Airline gave instructions to Travelocity to Honor Refund May 7: I am told I will get refund Jun 1: I get to know refund was not initiated and then Corporate customer care assured that they have initiated refund and will get in 1-2 billing cycle July 24: No refund received so call customer care again. I was told in 1 weeks time I should get refund. Aug 11: Still refund not received. Contacting Travelocity Customer care is a pain. You need to hold call for hours. It is Aug 2019 now.. Still waiting to get refund in spite airline company has provided instructions to Travelocity to honor refund. Common guys, $2829.88 CAD is not small amount. it is hard earned money... You are using it since Jan 2019.... How am I going to pay back to credit card company? I do not recommend anyone to go with Travelocity. getting refund is so painful.. Update: Aug 12 : Finally received refund....Thank you Travelocity... Still my opinion about Travelocity is unchanged...You can still do better...

If you have an issue with your flights…

If you have an issue with your flights but booked through Travelocity, Travelocity will not assist you. And the airlines will not assist you because you purchased through Travelocity. So steer clear of Travelocity. It will cost you money in the end. Terrible customer service.

We got scammed

We got scammed! We went through Travelocity. I paid $380 through travelocity included insurance in the charge. We paid for an automatic SUV, they ended up giving us a midsize BMW which barely fit our luggage hence why I reserved SUV. We picked up the car on a Saturday and parked it for 2 days, when we were ready to leave the city and head into the borders. The gentleman assured us the car had been paid for already. We got a charge of $655 from Green Motion. In total for a 3 day drive , we used the car 3 days were charge nearly $1000.00 absurd! We only thought they were charging us a $200 deposit which by the way we have yet to see back onto our card. They said we signed something that shows we new. Um NO we didn’t. They refuse to give us back our money. We will dispute these charges with our bank and never use this company again and hope we have saved someone this regret.

Hospitality, no,

Redwood Log Cabin in Crescent City, Ca is accessible only by a half mile long gravel road. A chicken coop outside is not appealing. When entering this private residence was greeted by disinterested owner with face in newspaper who directed us to find our room upstairs. Unprofessional, unwelcoming.

I called and 4 1/2 hours later they fixed it I got hung up on put on hold for 30 mins at a time told to go online while driving and find myself another hotel Just craziness Please think twice before using Travelocity

One excellent company

I have used Travelocity a few times before and I'm satisfied with their services. Quick to respond phone calls and eager to help in any situation. I used them with airfares, hotels and excursions and they also provide a 10% discount coupon for hotels.

Worst website to book you vacation package

This is the worst website to book your flights and hotel reservation from. I had bought flight from Travelocity from LAS to DFW and also bought insurance on it. But because of my wife's sickness I couldn't travel that day. I called multiple times before the flight was scheduled for cancellation. I had hard time with connecting to customer service and the ones I connected didn't care at all. Even though I had bought insurance on my travel package and had called 2 days before the scheduled flight. I was charged the whole amount. I will never book from here again. Expedia is much much better. I have evidence to support my claims. Thanks
