I booked a trip to North Carolina to see my daughter graduate boot camp through Travelocity and the price was great; however, the hotel was in the middle of renovations we were not informed about. The hallway was filled halfway by building supplies! What a noisy mess. There was no refrigerator when I got there although it had been promised. I’m diabetic and need the fridge for insulin. They did change our room. No work room even though one was promised. The flight was great! The rent car presented a problem that took over an hour to resolve. I still managed to have a great time and the extras we booked worked out great.

Travelocity is a scam.

Booked through Travelocity for a car. Received my email with my TOTAL amount I would have to pay which included Taxes and Fees. I also purchased Collision through Travelocity. The car company forced me to purchase insurance I had already purchased through Travelocity. They also charged me more that my Itinerary said my total would be. I contacted Travelocity and they sided with the scammer car rental U Save Cars and Trucks, saying I was out of luck. I did file complaints with the Attorney Generals Office against Travelocity and U Save Car Rentals.

They charged me for a flight that "doesn't exist". Bunch of B.S. The customer service representative is extremely unhelpful. Nothing was emailed, no itinerary no nothing. "We were just seeing if your card had enough funds sir" Dear Travelocity, I don't trust you, period. Best of luck without me going forward. Sincerely Sam

Have not even taken our trip yet (& extremely concerned of how it will go) and have been on the phone 4 times and countless hours with Travelocity trying to resolve a hotel issue. Have not used Travelocity in the past and will NOT recommend or us them ever in the future. Terrible customer service. Every email conflicts what the prior one said and no one can provide a confident response. If Travelocity is doing business with these hotels/airlines, they should make sure that they can accommodate cust service requests. The hotel in question is a Hilton, so even worse that we can't get any resolution! Dreading that this trip will be mess as so far its been 2 weeks since booking and have zero confidence in Travelocity's ability to provide a successful trip.

I booked a Nissan Altima for 5 days in Atlanta through Travelocity and was charged $36.00/day above the reserved price by ROUTES car rental. I contacted Travelocity customer service and the rep (outside United States) stated she would contact ROUTES and negotiate a "better price" and call me back. I was never contacted.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!

I paid for 3 first class flights from Houston to Campeche, Mexico totally approximately $4,000.00. My itinerary showed Business Class from IAH to MX and COACH from Mexico City to Campeche. I called Travelocity and told them that I could fly Coach for $400.00 each ticket totaling $1,200. and wanted a refund for paying 1St class and not getting it. They told me they would request a refund from Delta but they couldn’t request it until after my trip. They gave me a $200 coupon to use for future travel. When I called Travelocity after my flight they told me that I should have known what I paid for and they could not request a refund. That I accepted $200 and that’s the refund. That was ridiculous because the $200 coupon was for my trouble of having to call Travelocity and go through many agents until someone finally told me to take the trip and then they’d request a refund. THEY TOTALLY LIED. AS LONG AS YOU DONT NEED THEIR HELP THEY ARE FINE BUT THE MINUTE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR AND DONT CARE ABOUT LYING BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY. You’ve been warned. Take your business elsewhere!

Horrible site

Horrible site. Wife tried booking a vacation package and after entering credit card info, the chosen package says unavailable. They then charged the card 4 times....exceeding credit limit. Now have to wait 3 days for a refund along with overage charges....now lost the deal. Never use them again!

Been at the red roof in Kanawha city for over 3 months, the rates have been more then reasonable with no real issues, the cleaning staff has been hit or miss with the exception of one, Paula Rock does an amazing job, I can always tell when she has been there and I always make sure to tip her for her efforts, I would recommend this hotel

Won't Use Travelocity Again

We booked a trip in May for October but needed to cancel due to scheduled hospitalisation. I contacted the hotel that was booked through Travelocity and was directed to cancel through them. I followed up immediately with an email, our confirmation number, all specifics about the trip, and asked for a cancellation confirmation. Didn't hear anything. I contacted them again with the same information at least 4 more times. Starting about 2 weeks ago, I started getting emails from the hotel with information about directions, accessing, times, etc. I immediately wrote back with information that I had cancelled through Travelocity but hadn't heard anything. The hotel emails kept coming. I finally, three days before our trip was supposed to occur, got an email from the hotel advising that they still had us on reservation...no one had cancelled us! I categorically stated that we would not be responsible for any charges and would take it further if the hotel added any costs for our trip. I then forwarded all my emails that I sent to Travelocity which clearly showed we had attempted on numerous occasions to get confirmation of our cancellation. I am grateful that the hotel employee with whom I was communicating saw the effort and forwarded an email to alleviate my concerns, stating that he was contacting Travelocity to advise of our cancellation and not to worry about future charges; none would accrue. I then began getting emails from Travelocity with questions about booking with them! They didn't bother to respond during the 3 months I attempted to get their attention but as soon as the hotel notified them they began to want a good review! Not from me. I will always, in the future, check any other booking site or go direct instead of using Travelocity. I wasted hours of response time and stress, wondering how to get this solved until I finally got the right person at the hotel...certainly not someone with Travelocity. I will never use them again.

Good customer service

I was initially very unhappy because I couldn’t stay for my booked third night due to the death of a family friend. The hotel told me since I booked through Travelocity, Travelocity didn’t issue refunds. I contacted customer service through messaging and they responded. It took about a day but they did keep communicating until they agreed on a refund. I thought it was nice that they also extended condolences.

This is truly the worst travel agency!

This is truly the worst travel agency!! I booked a 2fer for hotel and plane. The hotel I stayed in guangzhou china which is called Benshijua hotel in pazhou... asked for more money saying that the price on the site was incorrect. i had to pay 900 china money. They told me to pay or go somewhere else!!!! Never experienced this kind of situation. And I ended up being sick here and I needed to go back earlier so since I only have pre-paid phone I used their facebook messenger app for service they never did anything I waited more than 24 hours and still nothing. They told me they are contacting the hotel? When needed to change my flight??!!!!! Urrrrrr worst experience of my life!!!! And finally I called them direct they told me to book a new direct flight they dont have any flight power people don't ever use this sight to travel!!!!!

Left holding the bag

I purchased two tickets to Barcelona. I was informed by Travelocity in an email that my ticket was canceled. Weirdly, only my ticket, not my partner's. The email went on to offer me two options to change my outgoing flight. It made no mention of my return flight. I called and spoke to an agent who said I was able (and therefore my partner was also) to cancel our reservations since the new outgoing flight options changed our wait time in Dublin from 2 hours to 12. I said I wanted to discuss with my partner. I called back and stated we wanted to cancel both reservations. After a wait of 40 minutes I was told my reservation was canceled but my partner's was not because the problem was with my return flight! (my return was different than my partner's. This was not mentioned in the email I received. Their resolution was my partner would keep the same reservation and I could make a new one. There was no concern that this would cost me more since I was booking later. While on hold I visited the site of the airline providing the service and found shorter and less expensive options. You are not getting the best deal you can find through Travelocity. A little extra time on the internet to visit airline sites will find better deals. Expedia – owns Travelocity, Orbitz, CheapTickets, Hotwire and eBookers. I suggest you stay away from all of them.

I was booked and ready to go to Vegas…

I was booked and ready to go to Vegas but I came down with headaches and found out I had a Massive Blood clot in my brain so, I had to cancel my trip or I would die on the plane. Travelocity is giving me the hardest time to rebook a flight (we had travel insurance). They have been rude from day 1! No one speaks clear English so when I asked the lady to repeat herself she said “ma’am I’m trying to right a report”. When I spoke to a supervisor she wants me to give her my Credit Card to rebook but I have a credit on my account and she said “I know but if this flight is more expensive we can use your card” I explained to her (plus she had up the new flight cost and the credit) that I would actually be using less than the credit so why the need for my card? She keeps saying if I go over but the total amount is right there tax and all! Then she blows in the phone like I’m irritating her because I’m asking questions. Needless to say I would never book through them and this makes Delta look bad as well

In June 2018 I've used Travelocity for a car rental (from Europecar) in Dortmund airport, and after the booking there was no confirmation/feedback whatsoever. Money were withdrown instantly from my card though. I've tryed their customer service for 2 weeks, spoken with 4 or 5 agents, no support at all and no success, impossible to get a booking confirmation or to cancel the booking and to recover my money. And of course, when I arrived in Dortmund there was no car booked on my name. Do not use them.

I had a problem with a hotel booked through Travelocity. On my return, I complained to Travelocity. Travelocity was outstanding in resolving my complaint. They went to bat for me. I will book 100% of my future hotel reservations through Travelocity. And yes: I am a real person, Travelocity did not request this review - and they did an excellent job in all respects.

DO NOT jeopordize your family's safety.

Took my daughter to Europe for her 25th birthday. Was put on 6 different planes that never took off, spent 3 days in airport, customer service hung up on me after sitting on the sidewalk in NYC for 4 hours. I lost thousands in hotels. When we arrived in Milan, the prepaid rental car was not paid for by Travelocity, I had to shell out $1025.00 just to leave the airport. I lost thousands of dollars in prepaid hotel rooms, and my flight home was cancelled. They left us stranded in Europe. DO NOT jeopordize your family's safety.

book a flight

book a flight, but I had a timing issued and understood.I called to changed reservation. they push back and forth with the airline company. I was already paid the penalty. they still did not help me at all. I end up called the airline and it took me 4hrs. it's totally wasted my time. I bought my ticket from Travelocity but they did want to help me at all. very bad service. I swear I will never come back to Travelocity.
