Fraudulent Traders - avoid

Dreadful business and should not be trading. Placed order 3rd December from uk for delivery to my son in Nova Scotia. Still not delivered and impossible to contact Hazeltons by any means. E-mails not delivered due to their inbox being full. Phones redirected to a sap hone and live chat just isn’t. Canpar are the shippers and they are just as bad, delivery is,in theory, in Moncton where it has been since 22nd December. $230 for nothing. Hazeltons own customer service review converts 1 star reviews to 5 star!

I wish I could give a 0 rating! Sent a gift to my brother in the USA and hand picked my basket, $108 and they ended up sending just wine, cheese & biscuits which was nothing like what I ordered... tried to dispute with PayPal who want me to send it all back (2 months later!!!) in order to get a refund! What a joke! I can only think they must delete all the negative reviews on their own pages AVOID!! Just to add, the items replaced were most definitely not of equal or higher value - I would not have minded if they were!!

Poor quality, hot cheese, missing items, late delivery, no customer service

In response to Hazelton's response 27 minutes ago : I reported the missing items and the damaged items within 12 days of the gift basket being delivered. I tried to report it sooner, but no one picked up the customer service lines. I sent photos as requested. On top of the damaged items, four items were MISSING and your response was, "we reserve the right to substitute!" You have responded to my review 2.5 months after I posted it and not to my emails back in early January. Your response is a joke and based on similar reviews I've read here, what you're doing is fraud and I'm surprised you haven't been shut down yet. Original review below : I'd ordered a $180 gift basket in a wicker basket. It came in a broken box. The cheese was hot. Four items were missing with no replacements. Tried contacting customer service, sent photos as requested and there has been no response in over a week. I've waited 15 minutes to speak to a CS rep, but no one picked up in that time. There are better options out there for the US as I have subsequently discovered. Try Harry and David or Stonewall Kitchen.

Charged but no delivery, no customer service response

I wish I could select zero stars. I ordered a gift basket. AFTER I had paid for the order, the website confirmation page informed me of shipping delays that were not indicated in the time estimates provided when I selected the mode of shipping. I was disappointed, but I understand that delays are occurring due to the pandemic, and although my basket would apparently not arrive by Christmas as hoped, it would arrive well before New Years, according to the estimate. More than four weeks after I ordered, and well past New Years, it still has not arrived (despite an original estimated delivery time of three days). I have attempted to contact the company multiple times. The website indicates you can speak with a phone operator during business times, but the number connects to a voice mailbox with a robo-recording, and my voicemail message was not returned. The live chat function on the site is not live; it just sends off an email; I eventually received a generic reply that was totally unresponsive to my inquiry. My other attempts to reach the company have not been successful. The 'tracker' app has not worked consistently, and the information it provides when I can log in is limited and unhelpful, and is also inconsistent with the information I received from that one generic email. I understand that the pandemic has made deliveries more challenging, but the level of opacity and dishonesty I've experienced makes me wonder if this company ever intended to deliver my package at all, or if this is an entirely fraudulent operation.

Bait and Switch

My husband surprised me with a Cheese Lover and Craft Beer Basket for Christmas. The basket was supposed to have Amsterdam Brewing Company and Sleeman beer in it (Canadian beers), beer that we can not get in Texas. That was the whole reason for ordering the basket in the first place. Instead it had Dos Equis , Blue Moon, and Miller Genuine Draft. No cheese at all in the basket. Just 3 sets of crackers and 1 candy bar. All of this could have been purchased at a convenience store for a small cost. Very disappointed. After several e-mails, attempted chats, and attempted phone calls, they are referring to their substitution policy where they are allowed to substitute with items of equal or higher value when the items are not available. We received the cheapest substitutes you possibly could get. And still no cheese which is hilarious since it was called a Cheese Lover's basket. Is everybody really out of cheese? Please save yourself the heartache from dealing with this company. They have 12 different names operating under The Gift Group. He ordered it from Yorkville Gift Basket but credit card posted as Hazelton Gift Baskets. We tried to answer the review that came with the order and found out they do not post any reviews that are not a 4 or above. Wish I could give negative stars but it is not an option.

Hazelton's - Worst Customer Service EVER!

Worse Customer Service EVER! I ordered a baby-themed basket from them on Dec 18. It wasn't delivered until Jan 11 - AFTER I had contacted them and explicitly requested the order be cancelled THREE TIMES by email and left a VM once. I received one email that said - hey we're in a pandemic, be patient. Um NO! If you haven't yet processed my order (only received) then a cancellation request made FOUR times should absolutely be respected!

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Ordered 22 December with no expectation of delivery for Christmas but as of 4 jan still not even a delivery notice... nothing... tried calling and emailing with no response. 8 jan suddenly the tracker says the package has shipped to the courier and has been there in Toronto ever since. got an email from Oscar who was just plain dismissive saying there was a disclaimer that it wasn't guaranteed before Christmas and since it is after Christmas now there couldn't be a refund as they haven't broken any of their hidden disclaimers? rude and curt email and no response to asking to raise a complaint or speak to a manager... now reading these reviews i'm not surprised. Called courier and they are just as bad! probably the same company!!! £150 GONE. UPDATED. it finally arrived at the end of January with NOTHING that was described and out of date items. CRAP. just CRAP.

The Worst Service I Have Ever Received

If I could rate Hazelton's worse than one star I would. I ordered a gift and paid for 2-day shipping. The gift arrived 3 weeks later. I tried to reach out to Hazelton's multiple times, but every email received a failure to send notification and none of my phone messages have been returned. Do not order from Hazelton's.

Cheaters!!!!!!!!!

I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated by working with them. It's one of the worst companies I have ever had the chance to work with. I could never find them on the phone, they did not answer my e-mail until after 1 week delay and after many reminders. They did not know where my package was. Even when I confirmed after 3 weeks with the recipient that he had received it, they replied that they would see it and inform me where it was. In the end, I asked to receive an invoice and of course their answer was that they do not provide something like that. Cheaters and unprofessional. Stay away!

No delivery of gift and poor customer service

I have emailed this company multiple times with my order number and customer service has not responded to me for over 3 weeks and my gift was supposed to be delivered on 24 Dec with no traceability even on 14 Jan. Hopeless and stay away from this company!!!

So....the saga continues

So..... my ‘Christmas Morning’ hamper that was to be delivered in NYC on 24 December was ‘apparently’ delivered on Tuesday 12 January. I say ‘apparently’ as what was delivered bears little resemblance to what was ordered. As with others, no response to emails to ‘customer service’ including demand that money be refunded. Charge back pending and should be successful in view of this woeful ‘failure to deliver’!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

ORDERED A GIFT BASKET ON DECEMBER 6 FOR DELIVERY ON DECEMBER 23 - DIDNT LEAVE THE WAREHOUSE TILL DECEMBER 23 WASNT DELIVERED TILL JANUARY 3 AND NO BANANAS, 2 ORANGES HAD TO BE PUT IN THE BIN AND 1 MANGO WAS VERY BRUISED SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY AND A DISAPPOINTMENT - NO ONE AT THE COMPANY GETS BACK TO YOU - NO ONE ANSWERS THE EMAILS - EXCEPT TO SAY I SHOULD HAVE PAID FOR SPEEDY DELIVERY WITH A FRUIT BASKET!

Worst Customer Service

Ordered a gift basket on Dec 22 for a Dec 24 delivery for a dear friend of mine. Weeks pass with NO communication from Hazelton's on the status of my order, and my repeated attempts to call and email them were unsuccesful/went unanswered. On Jan 11 I called my credit card company to dispute the charge (appears to be successful as the transaction was refunded/reversed). On Jan 13 (today), I suddenly receive a shipment notification from Hazelton's (likely prompted by the chargeback)! Needless to say, I no longer want the item! Please shut this scam of a business down!

Thieves - Do not throw away your money

A relative ordered 2 gift baskets - one for me and one for my sister - from Hazeltons Canada 3 weeks ago. Still not delivered. Numerous emails, chat line messages and phone calls, unanswered by Hazeltons. After asking for a cancellation and refund, this is the email received today: “Your order has already been prepared but has not yet been retrieved from our shipping facility by the courier, because they are delayed. Any updates regarding the status/whereabouts of your order will be shared with you automatically either via e-mail, a shipping notification with a tracking link or the tracking app, once the courier has retrieved the package from our shipping facility.” Hazeltons’ tracker shows the order as sitting on a delivery truck since Dec 23. Apparently, they have no intention of cancelling the order, or refunding her money (almost $500). Do not waste you money with this company, or be prepared to chase them through your credit card company or to sue them.

I ordered this on Dec 18th and it…

I ordered this on Dec 18th and it didn't arrive until the 5th of January. All of the food was spoilt and had to be thrown out. I get it that it's a tough time of the year, but when I wrote in about it, I had Ammar from customer service say they wanted pictures of the basket. I am sorry but this was a business gift basket to a very well known dermatologist (not for me) who told me it was spoilt, they had already thrown it out so did not take photos. But when a well known dermatologist tells me his gift had to be thrown out I tend to believe him. I have mentioned this to Hazeltons but they completely ignore me now. Not happy with this service or after service at all and I would suggest to use an alternate company.

This company is a nightmare

This company is a nightmare! I spent a lot of money for a Christmas basket to be delivered to Singapore. All the goods that were sent could have been bought from a petrol station. They do not reply to emails and you cannot get them on the phone so there is absolutely no customer service. Do not use this company.
