Direct Freight Express Reviews

Delivery from Brisbane to Noosa... Considering its a 1.5 hour drive... Why does it take 10 days to deliver urgent business delivery? Hopeless, Useless, incompetent with a care factor of Zero.

Had a parcel dropped off on the 28th by this company where I live is government housing now house across has got workmen rerenavating they dropped it off in my driveway and drove away didn't ring the doorbell didn't drop it off behind the 8 foot fence to lazy to open the gate so this guy drops it off in plain view of workmen and passes by and I don't know how long it was there and you won't see it unless you leave the house so I lost 1 whole box these couriers need their head read he may as well have dropped it off on the side of the road but they don't care it's not theirs I urge anybody doing business with this mob to think again their no good I've had nothing but problems with them

We have been waiting on a delivery that was supposed to be here 4 days ago. Today they said that they would be here by 1.30 pm - they still have not delivered. I would not use them and have recommended that our supplier no longer use them too.

Tracking info said my parcel was delivered and signed by me, I did not have the parcel and it was no where to be found. Customer service tried to be helpful, but solved nothing. Turns out the delivery driver sent the parcel to THE WRONG ADDRESS, signed on my behalf, and caused a sh!t ton of unnecessary commotion because of one person's error. Absurdly incompetent.

One of the employees, Carl Price 24703, was very professional, patient and courteous while we, House of Eleganz, had quick check of the consignment delivered.

We live just out of town, use couriers a lot for delivery. There is one big company which just never ever delivers. In contrast, Direct freight brought our package on time, undamaged, to the door. Seems this is how a courier company should operate

Poor service, delivered to wrong address Packaging was also damaged and boxes opened. Wouldn’t use them again

Lying about having called the customer when it arrived. No phone call. low efficiency of customer service. slow problem-solving skills.

My two packages were clearly labelled by the sender as GLASS - FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE, but my items were thrown into the garden and the box was crushed. It's like they didn't even get out of the truck but threw the packages into the garden. I know it's Christmas and they are busy but they don't care about your items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

It’s ridiculous that when trying to contact their customer service you have to listen on repeat how they always deliver things on time to the right place and track them every step of the way. Because in short they first sent my parcel to Melbourne instead of Brisbane and then lost it while redirecting and obviously it hasn’t arrived. Honestly the worst carrier in Aus and I’m sorry for the businesses that use their services.

after tracking my package online I seen they tried to deliver my package twice, both times after 5pm and with zero contact in between to try and understand why they were not able to deliver. I called them and spoke with an extremely rude and unpleasant operator who I advised that the delivery can happen any day but it needs to be before 2.30pm, she rudely said that they can not guarantee this and the delivery has been rebooked, without offering any alternative options. I am yet to receive the delivery and will not be surprised if they again try and deliver after 5pm. there was no offer to book delivery on a day they could arrive before 2.30, leave the package in a safe location, call on arrival, all things that every other transport company I have dealt with would offer.

Paid for an express service of 4 items with less than 1KM of transport. Items immediately went missing leading to 4 days of back and forth on the phone to them 'having the items' then 'not having the items', 'holding the items for me at the depot' to 'putting the items on a truck but not knowing what truck' - i was looking around for Ashton Kutcher thinking i was being Punked by the absolute mess they made of the situation and how awfully they delt with the issue. On hold for a minimum of 18 mins every call having to listen to their commitment to getting things to "the right place at the right time". Situation was finally escalated to the team leader who proceeded to tell me that my items were not lost and to stop saying that they were 'lost', they just didn't know where they were.... Awful customer service, extremely rude and no care.

Worst delivery company, lost package, no updates, no follow up support and when i alled to find out where my package was i was met with a very rude and unhelpful customer service team, overall not worth using in future

Seems all the reviews are true testimony here. DF did not advise me time of arrival and only Auto Emails the delivery due date (nice one, their customers are treated as having no life). They assume their customers are excited and satisfied to wait all day. There was No notification if the driver was on the way (that's a luxury service I guess). Anyway, this driver was content to letter box drop as no one is home for that 1 minute. (Naturally their convenience comes first) so passes all the work to me to reschedule another 1minute driver by. They did not text me or call whilst at drop location (Nice). Too costly I guess. I Called the 1300347397 to find out why this oversight. Phone Staff could not assist or was so used to these calls- so just told me her (training mantra) to wait for following day's delivery. Once again No time provided, no priority given after failed delivery. No apologies as it's assumed my fault. Hey, this must be a lucrative business as no one seems to care/bothered enough to do anything for upset customers. As Not many people lodge complaints this is in their favour I guess. This is because they know we are time poor and we actually DO HAVE A LIFE.

I just received a parcel couriered by Direct Freight Express. Delivery was fairly prompt despite the delay caused by tracking down the parcel. I have to say the email contact from the company and their tracking website were wonderful. Notifications received anytime anything happened to the package. The link in the email that takes you to tracking is also brilliant with easy to understand tracking information and a contact number on the top right that actually let me speak with a real person without having to wait long at all. The telephone service people were amazingly helpful and friendly and arranged then rearranged for my parcel to come when it suited me. The delivery driver actually followed instructions perfectly and even left my parcel safely in a way no other delivery ever has that lets me open my door without the parcel blocking my exit (I was so impressed by this seemingly simple action that actually requires forethought and brain cells). One star deducted for the first attempted delivery that I somehow completely missed even though I was home and no “we missed you” card to be found.

I gave explicit authorization to "leave item unattended" and also gave further instructions to "please leave outside front door." However, the driver continued to ring my doorbell then proceeded to leave the *heavy* package at the bottom of 3 flights of stairs. THERE IS A REASON I ASK FOR THINGS TO BE LEFT AT MY FRONT DOOR: I HAVE A BAD BACK AND MY DOCTOR SAYS I SHOULDN'T BE DOING HEAVY LIFTING.

First time, the driver came in and ringed the door and I went downstair. By the time I came downstairs, I live in 4th floor of the building, the driver was gone and did not bother to wait for one minute and I had to reschedule to another time. Next time, I was supposed to receive my delivery on 16th June and specifically said leave the item at the door. The driver did not even attempt to deliver my item and passed by my apartment because they could not find a parking lot, plus I live in a suburb and it was a working day, there was no way they could not find a place to park. Their deliveries are nightmare, avoid them if you can.

I have a very big sign on my front door that says DO NOT KNOCK. But their incompetent driver comes to my front door and knocks on the windows, on the garage door, on the front door. He clearly can’t read. God only knows how he reads street signs. Then I call to complain and the dumb bish “Sal” HANGS UP ON ME. They are absolutely the worst and steer completely clear. Don’t even buy from a website that uses them. They’re incompetent and illiterate. And so rude it’s unbelievable. How do so called businesses like this even exist?? They are the ultimate unprofessional. And employ people who can’t read.

I have read a lot of reviews about Direct Freight and honestly it got me worried. My package was shipped from Melbourne to Brisbane, got into Brisbane a day early and delivered a day early to the address I provided. Due to doorbell issues at the address provided we were not able to pick up the package that day. On the tracking website they said they left a card. We checked and there was no card. That got us worried and we started looking online and checked for their contact numbers or email and that's when we stumbled across the reviews. That got us more worried and paranoid. We immediately followed the steps on the website, booked a re-delivery date. We decided also to call their hotline in the morning and inform them to knock on the door instead of using the faulty doorbell. The next day, right at 8.59am we called. No answer, waited for 10mins on line then hung up. We tried again 30mins later, same thing, we were stuck listening to the automated response, waited online for about 15mins then finally someone picked. She was nice and very helpful, listened to us and our requests for the driver very patiently. She told us the item is on board for delivery and the instructions will be relayed to the driver. We asked if we could provide a number for the driver to call if no one responds to which she said the company doesn't provide their drivers with phones so she's not sure if the drivers will call. About 2 hours went by, I was constantly on the tracking website refreshing it for updates. Sure enough just around 11am it updated and said packages will be delivered after lunch. I just received the package right around 12.30 today and I am very happy. A lot of negative comments about this company and frankly it made me so worried thinking my items would be lost or sent somewhere or worse they would be damaged but I stand corrected. I gave them a 4 star only because 1. there was no card left and 2. when trying to follow up there was no email address or a contact number for their Brisbane depot we could directly reach out to. This is my honest review of this company and I hope this helps whoever is going through the same situation. Cheers!

Just hopeless basically, could not offer less help or assistance if they tried. Bought a 20" mountain bike (so not a small package) along with some accessories for my son's Christmas present. After about a week I arrive home to three packages (expecting four) delivered, except one is not mine. Mistakes happen, call them up and let them know. A week later nothing, call again, get the 'sorry we have no record of your previous call', answer the same questions, explain the same situation (am missing a package and also have an incorrect package), get promises they'll call me with updates in finding package. About 3 days later get call from delivery truck asking to pick up incorrect package, knows nothing about the missing package. Call Direct Freight again, get the 'sorry, our records only had you had an incorrect package, not that you were missing one', this is despite the tracking information having the missing package still undelivered. A week later, call again 'sorry the person assigned to your case is on leave', answer the same damn questions again, get the same promises, and once again no follow up. Package not delivered, son won't be getting a major part of his Christmas present, and all the while Direct Freight dodge and weave. Avoid
