As a Surfer and construction worker, I have had many years of abuse to my back. I stumbled across Dr Ryans Core balance Training 12 week coarse, and decided to give it a try. My lower back pain started to improve just a couple of weeks in. Now after completion, I not only am moving differently in my daily functions, but have the tools to help myself when I experiance back pain. This program is a GAME changer! Thank you Dr Ryan
I had my first really bad back episode in 2009, shortly before my son was born. Prior to that, I had typical back pain and sore muscles - no doubt a result of years spent jogging and playing hockey - but it never progressed to anything other than mild discomfort. The episode in 2009 took things up a significant notch, to a level of pain I had never felt. I had been getting things ready in the house for the arrival of my son. Got up the morning after feeling the typical soreness in my back, but I didn't think much of it. I was getting ready to leave for work, and noticed the 5 gallon water bottle had been delivered. I reached down to grab it, sort of bending and twisting quickly down to the right, when WHAM! A bolt of sharp electric nerve pain hit my low back! I stood up, surprised and dumbfounded, then attempted to bend again and WHAM! Another jolt of pain. This one took me to the floor, literally screaming in pain. I had never had anything like this happen before so I had no idea what was going on, or what I should do next. I eventually managed to get up on my hands and knees, and crawl to the couch. After lying down for a while, I needed to go to the bathroom, and that ended up in the final WHAM! and muscle spams so bad I couldn't do anything at all. Eventually the paramedics were called, and I spent the next 8 hours in the ER. I was given shots of morphine, and asked to try sitting up after each one, which of course resulted in more pain and spasms. After the third shot, I began vomiting from the morphine. It was one of the worst days of my life. Long story short, after many doctor visits, evaluations and consultations (and a couple MRIs), I've got SI joint problems, disc bulges and tears, along with the typical age-related degeneration, arthritis, and mild stenosis (I'm 55). And I've been living with daily back pain and occasional bigger flares ups since then. I've done what most of us reading this probably have; chiropractic, physical therapy, cortisone shots, anti-inflammatory pills, stretching, TENS / muscle stimulation, Prolotherapy, supplements, online courses, books, etc. Some of it helps, some of it doesn't. I'm always on the lookout for something better to try, something different that might finally bring some real and permanent relief. When I found out about the Core Balance Training program, naturally I was skeptical. And then I watched Dr. Ryan Peebles' materclass video. There was a lot of new information here for me. The main concept of CBT is that back pain is in large part due to weak inner core muscles, muscle imbalances, poor posture habits, and pelvic tilt. And strengthening and building your inner core muscles through various exercises and stretches can dramatically improve back problems. This was never something that was brought up by the doctors I visited, my previous chiropractor, or the physical therapists I've gone to over the years. That's not to say that these guys were doing a bad job, they did treatments that helped, but they didn't give me the tools and the knowledge of WHY I was having back problems, and more importantly, lifestyle changes I could make that would actually fix the problem. Finding the Core Balance Training program coincided with finding a new chiropractor, who takes a more "whole body" approach - his treatments and therapies parallel the CBT program nicely. So I feel like I'm finally in the right place, in the right state of mind, and under the right care / programs to overcome my back pain. I've gone through most of the program at this point, and have seen many positive changes. I am not completely out of the woods yet, but the CBT program has given me the tools and the techniques to keep improving my back. And unlike other online course I've tried, Dr. Ryan actively participates in the process, answering questions in the comments sections of each video, and hosting a weekly live stream where he focuses on a particular topic or area of the course. And there are daily emails as well. Not scammy "trying to sell you more" emails, just genuine help and encouragement to keep you on the right path - mentally and physically. There's no 'smoke and mirrors' here. Just an honest and extremely helpful program that does what it claims to do. You do have to put in the time and the work to see gains, but from my experience with the program so far, it's well worth it, and I would recommend anyone suffering from back pain give it a try.
My back pain began in October 2021 after attempting to place my one year old son on my living room floor. I'm a dedicated runner and have always enjoyed exercise and maintaining fitness. I figured I would bounce back quickly from my injury. Unfortunately, this didn't happen so I began searching for treatments that would provide relief. Injections, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and physical therapy offered minimal relief. I started feeling very depressed and extremely anxious about my condition. My future outlook was becoming more bleak, and I was losing faith that I would have opportunity to be an active dad or rejoin the running community. This led me to begin considering surgical options, but thankfully, I discovered Dr. Ryan's CBT program while browsing on Facebook. CBT was very appealing because the program was clearly not intended to be a "band-aid" to mask aches and pains from chronic back issues. Instead, the program teaches you how to retrain your body mechanics and correct muscle imbalance by activating and integrating your inner core throughout all daily movements. The CBT program allows the student to progress at their own pace, and emphasizes foundational concepts that are building blocks for maintaining good posture and body mechanics. Students receive daily emails that include a lesson with detailed instructions. Dr. Ryan is exceptional about answering student questions and always provides detailed feedback. He cares about his students and clients, and, as a former chronic back pain sufferer himself, he understands our issues, fears, and feelings. I'm still a student in the program, so I have not yet "graduated," but I have experienced remarkable progress and look forward to continued progress each and every day. I began running again and have not experiences any setbacks. I'm confident this program can significantly improve quality of life for all chronic back pain sufferers. The concepts, exercise, and techniques learned in CBT can be applied for a lifetime. Thank you for your exceptional program!
My pain level when I started the Core Balance Training program was a high 10, on a scale from 1 to 10. I can honestly say that many days I do not feel pain anymore. To be completely transparent, I have 3 herniated discs in my lower back, arthritis, spurring, and stenosis. I want to avoid another surgery. So along with your program, I started to see a chiropractor and used a cryo chamber. I am stopping the cryo, but will continue the methods/techniques that I learned in your class and will continue seeing the chiropractor. Because of your program, I am now aware of my core connections. I think to perfect, I will need more time, however, I believe we are all on a journey. The journey may be longer for some - I am on a life-time journey. I want to be healthy for me, my wife and my grandkids. I spent 27 years on active duty. I know I may not be that “person” who can run for miles anymore, but I am trying. I believe the benefits will have lasting effects, if I continue to follow your guidance. They say behavioral change takes 90 days - I hope I have made that change. Thank you again Dr. Ryan!
Dr. Ryan's CBT program is worth every penny of your investment. You will get results from this program if you adhere to it, hands down. I'm a fitness professional, and CBT is the first program I have encountered that starts with the inner core as it's foundational exercise. Inner core activation and awareness is essential for stability, strength, flexibility, and reducing chronic back pain. It is often neglected in the fitness industry because there isn't ultra clear instruction on how to tap in to it. Dr. Ryan's instruction bridges that gap and is the clearest information I have encountered on how to activate and integrate your inner core. Since starting the program only 2 weeks ago I have already balanced and strengthened my core and hips resulting in less discomfort and smoother joint function. I had worked so hard to tap in to the inner core for ~2 years before this program with the limited instruction I had. Dr. Ryan's unique instruction and cues got me further in my core development in 2 weeks than those 2 years. It feels surreal. I have already taught a half dozen people this concept and am going to teach it to every client I have because I believe in it that much. The course is simple, not overproduced or distracting you with a fancy gym or tight leggings. It is to the point, effective, and focused on providing you with the core freedom you seek.
Hello, my name is Aaron and I am one of many beneficiaries of the Core Balance Training program. Prior to starting, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my lower spine that was compressed against a nerve root. I experienced intense pain at the intersection of my lower back and butt on my right side. The pain often extended down my right side to my hip, thigh and calf. Sitting positions intensified the pain more than anything and during my worst phase I could not lay (thus hardly slept) in any painless position for two weeks. I was attracted to CBT because the program 1) offered an evolving daily routine with constructive feedback, 2) generated self-discipline and motivational habits, and 3) was founded upon extensive and diverse first-hand experiences. The CBT program was highly effective at achieving its goal of eliminating my pain. Within two weeks I noticed a considerable reduction in the the frequency and intensity of pain. Halfway through the program I was able to sit and lay in certain positions without pain. Upon completing the program I felt as if my life had turned around. Instances of pain were mild and infrequent. My qualify of life had greatly improved as a result of better physical health, sleep and mood. I received great satisfaction of knowing that I had the power to heal my body under the right guidance combined with discipline and self-awareness. And that I actually did, in only 3 months. The program left me with a knowledge and understanding of my body to use beyond the duration of the course. In addition to eliminating pain, I gained positive habits to apply to other areas of life. I unequivocally recommend this program to anyone who wants to heal low back pain or anyone who wants to be proactive in the prevention of low back pain. The CBT program is a powerful tool to foster positivity in your body and life with or without injury and with or without pain. Thank you to CBT for helping me heal my body.
Great program in its entirety, learning to awaken subtle muscles that we forget about from early childhood is worth the trouble….RE-learning correct postures has amazing benefits. The process is detailed and well thought about, with emphasis in doing a self paced progression as we are not all the same from the perspective of body type, medical history etc.
I recently completed the Core Balance Training course and am really thrilled with my results. I have had problems with lower back pain since I was a teenager (I am now in my 60’s). I have used various treatments over the years including chiropractic and stretching and have been doing daily physical therapy exercises for over 10 years to keep my pain from flaring up, sometimes to the point of debilitating spasms. The treatments and exercises helped but since I was just treating the symptoms, I've always gotten just temporary relief. I’ve always felt like one false move would trigger some level of pain and that was just the way my back was, so I’d have to live with it. When I found Core Balance Training and watched the introduction to the course, I knew I'd finally found what I was looking for: An understanding of how my back pain was being created and what to do for a chance at longer-lasting relief. This course is different. Dr. Peebles' approach is unlike any I’ve seen before and it makes so much sense. The information is easy to understand and apply too. After signing up there are daily emails with videos to guide you through the course. They are easy to follow and very motivating. Understanding the core and the core anchor points and using the techniques in the course to keep your core properly set while exercising, walking and just living daily life is the real key to feeling better and being more pain free in the long run. The various exercises and techniques to strengthen and support my core have really helped me feel stronger and more stable. My back is now much more resilient. It is nice to get out of bed and not feel low back pain every morning! I will continue to use the exercises and techniques I've learned in the course daily for the rest of my life. Thank you, Dr. Peebles!
Thank you, Dr. Ryan, for creating such a wonderful program. I started Core Balance Training on May 13, 2022 and looking back at how miserable I was then with my low back to now July 22, 2022. What a HUGE difference. Your attention to detail on explaining the how's and why's of low back pain has opened up my world to how I approach and move my body have been life changing. I now have the knowledge, tools to continue and more forward in my maintenance program. I will take with me all that I have learned from this program and apply them to how I move in my daily life. Many, many thanks to you Dr. Ryan and Core Balance Training for helping me feel so much better. I highly recommend this program!!!
Dr Peebles is great about personally keeping a pulse on everything that is happening for a client who is going through the Core Balance Training program. He answers all the questions in detail in writing and also offers free coaching calls for those who want to have more interaction. The “foundations” part of the program is what healed my nagging low back pain. Doing these 5 to 10 minute corrective exercises on the floor every day completely reset my back by the end of week 3. Now, three months later, my posture is consistently better and supportive of healthy function in both sitting and standing. The meditative physical training I did through the program freed me from pain and reprogrammed my body to maintain optimal posture that babies develop naturally by the time they learn to walk. I never even got to the “exercise routine” section (which is so fun, by the way!) in the second part of the course. The Fundamentals are THAT powerful!
I have struggled with back pain for over 25 years. I have had multiple injections, used traction, massage, chiropractors, and have missed multiplel days from work. I literally laid in the back of a vehicle 200 miles to stand and watch my son's swim meet because i could not sit due to back pain. I am a RN and I was to the point of having an appointment with a neuro surgeon. I found Core Balance Training on Facebook and read about it. Thought what do I have to lose. I would have pain thousands of dollars for someone to help me feel the way I do after 12 weeks of this program. I am walking 5 miles a day, working, and taking care of my grandbaby without back pain. The concepts I have learned are always in the back of my mind and help me with my everyday life. I am so thankful for Dr Peebles and his program. It was clear, organized and so helpful. I was continually amazed at how Dr. Peebles would promptly answer questions. He truly cares about his clients. If you are willing to put even 15 minutes a day into your back health, you will not regret it. Thank you again for Core Balance Training, it literally changed my life.
