Permanent change for the better

Ryan very knowledgeable and explains things clearly. The program was easy to follow and built upon itself in a gradual manner. My SI pain is mostly gone and because of the incremental nature of the program, the exercises have been ingrained in everyday life without me thinking about it.

Do-able!

Ryan's training has helped me recover from a back injury from a fall. I had been gradually improving, doing exercises. This helped me to better strengthen and balance core muscles, slowing down and using deeper core muscles. So many programs instruct to do so many reps and movements I was not capable of, this approach was do-able! Thank you!

I love the program

I love the program, love the support, and am completely impressed with all the information Dr. Peebles makes available in his course and in his weekly livestream. I don’t have pain, but I do have pronounced hip imbalances and pelvic tilt. I’ve tried all my life to change this with no success. This is the only program that has had an effect. The problem now is me—getting myself to do the basics routinely for long enough to bring about the “innate” change in my posture.

I now have confidence to help myself

For the past 10 years, I have gotten regular chiropractic and massage treatments and they did help in keeping me going. But of course, that gets quite expensive. Two years ago I moved to a deeply rural community. One of the things I was very concerned about was how I would find someone to help manage my chronic tight back muscles. And even if I did find someone, we are retired now and don't have a regular income anymore. Bye-Bye spending money. I did find a massage therapist, but she recently relocated; leaving me to wonder how to address this issue. Shortly thereafter, I happened across a short video by Dr. Peebles on Instagram and listened to it. The more I listened, the more I felt like this was worth pursuing. We have a large garden and landscape to manage ourselves, and every morning I would wake up and be a little afraid to move too much until I stretched and did a little bit of yoga. That first trial week of the program, I felt nearly immediate relief. Enough to make me sign up. I would say the percentage of improvement in my back pain after three months is 60%. But I know the more I do these strengthening exercises and move with my core engaged, the closer that is going to be to 100% I went through the program rather quickly, but I have made good notes and intend to continue to improve. The email reminders were very helpful. It's the first thing I did each morning. I'm usually up before everyone else and I would just open my email, do the exercise for the day and then keep it in mind as I went about my activities. Most evenings, I would do them again right before bedtime. Other that the obvious relief of not being in as much pain, the main benefits I value are threefold. #1 I feel that the detailed and intelligent way that Dr. Peebles presented the information is key. His instruction really helped me to understand how the body works and why there is a problem in the first place and what could be done about it. I feel like understanding the "why" is an essential part of the learning process. It wasn't just a demonstration of an exercise or a move and then just telling a student to just go do it. I loved how personal it was to be able to ask questions and get answers that were clear and detailed. Bravo on the customer service!!! #2 In the past, every time I would have to bend down and get something, I would analyze if it was really worth the trouble of doing it. After the program, though I'm still not excited about bending or squatting to get something, I no longer have to worry about whether or not I'm going to hurt myself doing it. I just go through the instruction that I've drilled into my head and do it and it actually feels good and strengthening. That's a pretty big deal. #3 I will probably get a massage now and then, as I still find them beneficial and relaxing. But now I don't feel dependent on them. By completing this program, I now have the knowledge in my wheelhouse to help myself when I have a setback, and a set of maintenance exercises that I know are safe and beneficial. This last two weeks, I helped my daughter with a new baby, slept in a bed that was not my own, and spent long hours, cooking and cleaning. Not unexpectedly, my lower back is giving me a bit of trouble. But I'm not panicked about it because I know how to help myself. Now I'm home, and this morning when I got up and felt a twinge that in the past could've given me trouble all day, all I did was the perfect bridge, a plank, the stretch that's like a child's pose, and relaxing for five minutes over a medicine ball like I saw on one of the videos. I had a very comfortable day and went for my daily walk, (as I have done for years) I will repeat that process (minus the walk) before I go to bed and fully expect that to help. What a relief to not have to panic, and be able to have confidence that I can help myself. Our bodies are amazing. I love that. Top notch

I appreciate how Dr. Pebbles has been there with his own journey of back pain and is able to communicate well a slow and steady process of just how to get out of back pain that gets you stronger regardless of where you are at. I liked that these are not just exercises you do, but mostly foundational movements and patterns you learn that can serve you well for the rest of your life! I learned so much about how to properly engage my core and protect my spine. These things had not been on my radar before and it was keeping me very stuck in back pain. Now I have tools and can navigate flare ups much better, I also know these are skills that become even more important as I age! I also appreciated the stellar customer service and support! I always got a detailed and thoughtful reply to my questions via email or the student hub from either Dr. Peoples or his staff, so it was a very personalized and encouraging experience. Top notch!! I highly recommend this program if you have back or sacroiliac joint pain, it’s very valuable information!

Easy to follow and motivational…

Easy to follow and motivational lessons. Helped me understand what better core engagement actually is. After doing this program, my pain is mostly gone and I’m back to doing my favorite activities! I recommend core balance wholeheartedly!

CBT, because good movement patterns matter for LIFE

Core Balance Training has so beneficial in my wellness journey. I have been in Health and wellness as I professional group exercise instructor and personal fitness trainer for 3 decades. I am also a nationally certified stretch practitioner. But knowing all that did not truly help me to find pain relief and improved functional movement until I participated in CBT, you don't really know what you are doing wrong until you learn what you are doing wrong, and poor movement patterns can be created in anyone, especially when they are unknowingly compensating. Having worked through the era of High Impact classes, running for 20 years etc I developed spondy between L5 S1, stenosis, a slipped L4 to L5, a non-displaced fracture of my S5 and off and on Sciatic pain leaving me struggling to do my job and to feel well in general. Now, I have WAY more good days than bad. I work at the program a minimum of 15 minutes almost every day and am committed to keeping my back pain at bay and improving my quality of life through better functional movement. I tell all my stretching clients and fitness members about the program. If you work it, it WORKS!

Life altering lower back pain cured?

I was struggling with life altering lower back pain constantly for at least 3 years, but this program has helped me realize that I had deep rooted and terrible postural habits basically my whole life. But, after activating my deep core muscles and learning how to use healthy movement throughout my day, Dr. Pepples and the CBT program saved my quality of life. I’ve tried so many different things over the years to get out of back pain, but I just kept hurting myself over and over. However, it seems Dr Peebles’ own experience with lower back pain, as well as his knowledge of biomechanics as a professional Physical Therapist, allowed him to create the perfect program using the brilliant foundational concepts of the Anchor Triad and pubic bone forward. Because I adhered to these principles, I had no setbacks along my 11 week journey with the CBT program, and I’m seriously feeling better than ever. I was excited to wake up to my daily email every morning with a lesson and set of exercises. The program’s tech was great and worked very smoothly. I also liked watching the free replays of the Core Balance Coaching YouTube live streams, where I’ve picked up on a lot valuable tips by listening to Dr. Peebles answer other’s questions. For instance, I feel the pillow technique is really helping me at night before I go to sleep, and I’ve heard that mentioned frequently on the live streams. Overall, I’m breathing better, walking better, living better, loving better, and not having to worry about back pain 24 hours a day makes me a better person. Thank you so much Dr. Peebles, from the bottom of my heart. The journey continues, and because of the CBT program I will stay inspired and strive for balance because life is so much better lived this way.

I was skeptical but so glad I took the chance!

I saw Dr. Ryan's FB ad and was immediately impressed by the great reviews and his marketing video. I was at the point with my back and hip pain that I would try anything/something new as nothing else has worked. Of course I was skeptical and it was a FB ad but I thought what the heck, I pay for than that for 1 rolfing session -- what do I have to lose? And I'm so glad I paid for and joined the Core Balance Training program. I worked it faithfully over the last 2 1/2 months and am amazed at how much I have learned and how much better I feel. I'd say my chronic lower back pain has improved by 80% -- and I know if I keep working the program and do the exercises ongoing I will continue to improve to 100%. I am super active (surfing, outrigger canoe paddling, running, hiking, and more!) and the fact that I was able to improve so much while still doing the things I love has been a godsend -- this after 25+ years of chiropractic adjustments, massage and rolfing! I only wish I had learned what CBT teaches way back when! Oh and the Wednesday live streams are a HUGE bonus!

FINALLY

This program delivered something that decades of searching did not. Chiro in particular was my only out with chronic back pain. A band aid at best as anyone who has relied on this method knows. Chiro has its place but knowledge is key. This program provides key info that transformed my relationship with my back problems.

I no longer have back pain because I spent 3 months doing exactly what was taught. I'm 64 years old and compete in ski racing and golf, I also spend a lot of time on mountain bikes. I have now started using my new understanding and strength in my sports with success.

Very well organized (progressive)…

Very well organized (progressive) lesson plan that is easy to follow. I could not believe that spending 15 mindful minutes in the morning would translate into all day awareness and habits, but it absolutely did for me. I highly recommend the core balance program.

Videos are easy to understand, and it works!

The videos are always informative, easy to understand and delivered with kindness. I very much liked the pace and the careful step by step progression. I've tried a lot of other back pain training classes and this is the only one that has worked. The extra support is also wonderful, I really liked the ability to ask questions directly in the live Q&A sessions. Plus the customer support is real people who care.

Life Changing for Chronic Back Pain

I've had chronic C and T spine pain for nearly a decade. It's arthritis and stenosis way too early in life. While low back pain has not been my primary source of pain, I realize hip flexors and the low back are also connected to the upper spine, so I gave CBT a shot! Having gone through all back pain treatments imaginable in the past 10 years (including two C spine surgeries), I cannot thank Dr. Ryan enough for sharing his knowledge with me through CBT. He makes it feel so personal to each person in CBT. I would encourage anyone with back pain (even if it's cervical or thoracic) to consider CBT. The body is all inter-related, and Dr. Ryan seems to know the body better than any. CBT is life changing for sure! Thanks to Dr. Ryan and his entire team!

I was very enthusiastic about starting…

I was very enthusiastic about starting his course and had signed up with my CC for the 14day trial- with $197.00 to be charged after (although at first it wasn't clear to me it would be every three months after initial charge). I got to module 4 and then the daily module emails stopped coming, curiously, the day before my CC was to be charged. There was a note on the site that indicated there was a problem and that now you would only get the next module after completion of the previous (by clicking on "Lesson Complete"). I did this but for the last two days a message would appear "coming soon" for the next mod. Finally, I decided to cancel- the convoluted website that sent me in circles and change in the email delivery made me wary. It's a shame, as I get the vibe he's sincere- and I think the movements were beginning to help. I just don't want to be taken for $197. **UPDATE: In addition to the feedback below I received an email from Austie at CBT and we have cleared things up. I'm amazed at the excellent communication and concern displayed by the staff and will start the process over.
