If nothing goes wrong...

If nothing goes wrong, maybe no worries, but in our case: our teenage son was essentially stranded overseas in the Philippines due to a typhoon shutting down both the local airport and ferry to Cebu. After 2-3 hours on the phone with them, Travelocity was unable to provide any solution other than offering to waive a $200 fee IF we bought all new 1-way flights though them (net cost to us >$1,100). They failed to meet their obligation to get our son there and back again for the tickets we purchased- Unacceptable! Instead I contacted the airline (Cathay Pacific) directly myself, and they were able to rebook him for just a $200 change fee.

Use bookit.com!

Don't book on the phone. They then email you a confirmation, and if it is wrong there are NO CHANGES, AND NO REFUNDS...EVER!

Go anywhere else

After being a loyal customer for 9 years. I'm telling you, I'M NEVER USING TRAVELOCITY AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!! To cut a long story short, they say "Travelocity is committed to customer satisfaction" but the first time inaccurate prices quoted on their website made me make bad decisions. they dragged me in hours of pointless conversations with customer support and refused to offer any compensation for the damage they caused me.

do not EVER use this site for ANYTHING! totally useless customer service, clueless staff, just a HORRIBLE experience. NOBODY there knows what they are doing, nor saying. BEWARE BAGUA! he screwed me out of over 600$...all could have been avoided by going thru United, rather than Travelocity. (btw, airline customer service will advise NOT using this company, stating to avoid Travelocity above all others)

I will never use Travelocity ever …

I will never use Travelocity ever again. I booked a flight to Sardegna Italy arriving xm-as day in the morning. Air France rescheduled my flight not only they rescheduled it to leave on xmas day, I would have a lay over of 11 hours with my 6 year old putting me at home 2 days later. When I called to ask them to get me to change it back to just a direct flight to Rome it took me all day to have them put the request. First time I was told to call back in 48 hr. After 2 hours on the phone waiting to be transferred they told me to call back in 10 days. I called back and they inform me that air France didn't accept my request and now they have to approve my refund. This is the worse customer service I have received I will never use them again. Now I'm waiting to get my money back

I will NEVER use Travelocity EVER …

I will NEVER use Travelocity EVER again. I will go to every customer review website and rate them as low as I can and warn others to not use you. Our flight plans were changed without warning or e-mail of any kind from Travelocity. I ONLY found out when I went into American Airlines to verify our flights. Our flight was moved up. I called Travelocity about it to ensure our rental car would still be available that early. No one from Travelocity apologized nor did they ask me "do you approve of these changes". When I called Tavelocity about moving up our flight times back they said it wasn't their fault and that they sent me an updated e-mail (I never got it) and that American Airlines would have to help us. American Airlines stated that is was Travelocity who was responsible for helping me and absorbing the cost change. Travelocity said that it wasnt and that they would not help us. I called American Airlines back and they said that they would change it for us at no costs and that Travelocity pulls this all the time. I stated to the Travelocity supervisor that if she didn't help us I would NEVER use them again but she didn't seem to care. I would book directly with the airlines and will in the future.

Beware of vacation packages from Travelocity

I booked a trip through Travelocity just prior to the hurricanes this past season. My travel destination in St. Thomas was destroyed, and with no intention to rebuild that specific home, I had to cancel my trip. When I made my travel plans, I purchased the travel insurance that was suggested by Travelocity. When my vacation house was destroyed, I was told that the fine print indicates that I have to be the owner of the house in order to get any type of refund awarded by my insurance. I found this vacation rental on vrbo.com, and I don't know about you, but I'm not aware of many people who vacation to their OWN HOMES. It was suggested by the insurance company that I call Travelocity directly, which I did, multiple times. They've told me that if I cancel or reroute my trip, I can get a $400 credit for each round trip ticket, but to get that credit, I would have to pay a $250 charge per each round trip ticket, lessening my credit to just $150 per round trip ticket. I paid just over $1000 for each round trip ticket. And that's in addition to the new fees should I decide to reroute to another destination. Even WITH the credit, I am out in excess of $2000, and no one on Travelocity's end seems to care that an act of God derailed my trip, and the insurance that THEY referred me to, and I paid for, is of no use to me.

Travelocity does not help its customers

Booked a hotel in Santorini and paid in advance. The hotel was on the "caldera" side of the island and had to climb steep hills to get to the hotel. To get to our room we had to climb another 4.5 steep flights. Being senior citizens we could not do this climb multiple times a day. Their web site should have indicated that the hotel may not be appropriate for physically challenged, senior citizens, or wheelchair bound customers. We paid in advance and the hotel and Travelocity would not refund anything. We had to pay for 2 hotels. Being on fixed incomes this was a tremendous hardship. DO NOT BOOK THRU TRAVELOCITY, EXPEDIA, HOTELS.COM, HOTWIRE, TRIVAGO, ORBITZ OR CHEAP TICKETS in that they are all the SAME company. Use their search facilities but DO NOT BOOK thru them. Go direct. They do not offer any real savings.

I missed the 'bag check in' by 5 …

I missed the 'bag check in' by 5 minutes must do it by 45 minutes before flight. So American Airlines almost put me on the next flight but since it's a different route she wouldn't be able to because it's a discount ticket from Travelocity. AA lady then offers same route following day and says Travelocity might help you for next flight so I called and the fillipino customer service tells me that she wants to check with AA and put me on hold. 45 Minutes later Filipino customer service comes on and tells me she's really sorry but aa doesn't have a flight for me and my ticket is canceled per policy. I of course started to get loud a bit and explained to her she can't do that because American already offered me next day. Filipino lady kept insisting that I would have to purchase another ticket? In other words Travelocity is stealing my money for five hundred dollars instead of rebooking or just do nothing and let American Airlines help me. Bastrops in filipines must be corrupt and get a bonus for stealing your ticket money. I had to go back and for two hours in order for them to reinstate ticket so that I can get next day booked.

Bad Experience with Travel Insurance

I made a booking with Travelocity for a roundtrip flight from London Heathrow to Vienna. I opted to purchase the travel insurance they were offering upon check out BUT they were extremely adamant when I asked for any compensation because I had to cancel this flight due to external factors (my flight to London was cancelled due to the weather). They refused to give me any refund or even credit for canceling the flight even though I had purchased the travel insurance they were offering. In my opinion, that whole insurance is just a scam and doesn't really do anything. I'm very disappointed in how they handled my situation and I wish I never booked with them in the first place.

I made the mistake of trusting …

I made the mistake of trusting Travelocity to not screw me over when renting a car in Ireland - boy, was I wrong. Rate was very low, and they offer "insurance" for only $10/day. Total rip off scam. The rental car companies in Ireland do not recognize the Travelocity insurance, so you still have to pay the 34E per day insurance on top of the 10E per day rental. The $110 to Travelocity was just a donation. I have dealt with Travelocity for years, never again. Don't make the mistake, rent through the rental company and, in Ireland, be prepared to buy the insurance.

Never Again

I booked a car through Travelocity and the Price Summary at the time of booking reads: Due at pick-up: $382.40. Instead, my credit card shows a charge of EUROS 703.12 - roughly double the amount booked. I travel a lot and usually rent a car to go around; this is the first time I did so with Travelocity and I so wish I read first the reviews. I learned my lesson - will not book with them again.

I have been a customer of Travelocity …

I have been a customer of Travelocity for a number of years and last week I purchased a round-trip ticket with a hotel and a guaranteed cancellation fee. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my hotel, It was the worst hotel I have ever seen.however not only Travelocity could not honor their so-called Insurance (or fake insurance for $34), they could not even give me a voucher to be used for a different flight on a different day. The customer service in the Philippines and they will never give you money back. I called Travelocity and was told that they had to get permission from the hotel to give me a refund and they, of course, said no. I will not use Travelocity again. Why add a layer that when there is a problem they point at each other.

Travelocity is TERRIBLE

Travelocity is TERRIBLE. I stopped using them years ago because I had too many bad experiences. Made the mistake of trying to use them again recently & was reminded why I stopped. They are misleading & sneaky. Their customer service is not in the least bit helpful. When I realized they weren't going to help, I hung up & called the airline directly. The airline took care of the problem right away. You're better off booking directly with the airline for flights or literally with anywhere else for a package.

Travelocity are scammers

I have been a customer of Travelocity for a number of years and last week I purchased a round trip ticket with guaranteed cancellation fee. Unfortunately I had to cancel my flight, however not only Travelocity could not honor their so called Insurance (or fake insurance for $34), they could not even give me a voucher to be used for a different flight on a different day. They kept saying it is the policy of Alaska Airlines. So I called Alaska Airlines and they told me that would be able to deduct the $125 and issue me a voucher for $215 from the total purchase price of $340 which I could use any time in the future, however Travelocity is refusing to do so. So I am not going to use Travelocity any longer and I will warn you to watch out for these scammers.
