Disappointed and not going back to Travelocity

I am so disappointed at Travelocity's lack of support when things go wrong for customers. They hate to provide refunds and make it as difficult as possible to get any help in that regard. Life changing events do occur and travel plans have to be put aside to accommodate them. This company is all about money and making sure that they keep as much or all of yours as they possibly can, regardless of the circumstances. They are rigid and inflexible and I will no longer be using them for my national and international travel. I want a travel partner I can count on, not just when everything is going well, but when the chips are down and catastrophic events occur. Travelocity is not that partner for me.

Terrible customer service

I have been trying to contact someone to use an airline credit I have and I cannot get through to a person. I wait on hold for hours and I can't get a person. When I opt for their call back service, they called me back at 2 in the morning.... Terrible customer service.

I can't even start to describe how …

I can't even start to describe how awful this was. I was on hold for one hour and not even contacted with someone. Then it took 3 more hours to do the one simple task of changing my flight which isn't even until January. People were rude. Unable to understand and it was just a purely awful experience DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE . I had the travel insurance and it cost me an extra 600 dollars to change it. This was ridiculous.

Dear Travelocity

Dear Travelocity, I am disgusted by your lack of human compassion and customer service. My husband and I travel quite often and use online services to book our trips. But I will never use your company again. We were booked to go to Tampa FL from September 8 through the 18th 2017. We waited as long as we could to see if Hurricane Irma would shift away from the Florida We called the hotel that we were booked to stay on Wednesday the 6th and they stated that they were closing and not accepting guests. And that they were going to be under mandatory evacuation on Saturday the 9th!!! I called your customer service department to change my flight. It was horrible! I was told too bad and that I needed to get on that flight because I was not going to get my money back! I was under the impression that the insurance policy I purchased through your company would cover a cancellation but was told that was only if I were sick....I said well what if I die Saturday standing in the middle of Clearwater Beach with no hotel, no car, no food, no water, no shelter and flights were cancelled on Saturday so I would not have been able to come home!!! Your customer service department basically said too bad!! I was extremely angry and upset that your employees would tell me to get on a plane to fly into the middle of a disaster with no place to go. We booked a last minute trip to Mexico because my husband and I work very hard and had everything ready to go for vacation. We own rental properties so I have been extremely busy at work for the end of the month and rent week since we returned home. You have $485.97 that I feel should be reimbursed! I am going to reach out to you first prior to contacting anyone else. I have pictures of the order for mandatory evacuation on the 9th and The Sandpearl Resort stating that they were not accepting reservations. I hope you do the right thing and reimburse our money!! Thank you Ronald and Kathy VanCulin

Agent not knowing what he was doing!

I booked flights for me and my husband to visit our grands using a credit of 993.00 to travel to Colorado on Monday, September 25, 2017 for a trip in November. I paid the difference that I was told by an agent by the name of Bagya and that we had to pay a little and we were on with that. After completing the reservations, I was sent an email confirming the details for our travel. All excited about the trip. On today, September 28, 2017, I opened my email to find out that all four of the flights had been canceled. I call Travelocity and first talked to a guy by the name of "Rob" and he told me to continue to hold on and we would check. After an hour he transferred to the last agent name Tony. I then stayed on the phone with Tony for another hour and 59 minutes to tell me that the flights were canceled because we had to pay another $410.00 to reinstate these flights. I was MAD because I was not nor could I afford to pay the extra but did. Please do not use Travelocity to book any flights. Please go straight to the airlines to book. I am out of major money because Bagua did not know what he was doing!

Please do not use Travelocity !!

Please do not use Travelocity to book flights or vacation packages!!!!!!!!! They are the worst of all that I could ever experience. I booked with them 2 vacation packages and day of flight we couldn't flight due to a emergency. I called and explained everything to management and was on the phone for over 3 hours. Promised me they will give me some refunds.. days passed I called to follow up and they told me they had no records of me calling and therefore can't give me a refund nor credit. I was so mad and stressed they kept my money (over $1,500) and were rude about my situation. Please don't make same mistake of using Travelocity as your agency. Worst experience with customer service. Giving them one star is beyond too much. Very dissappinted!

My daughter's flight was canceled on …

My daughter's flight was canceled on the same morning it was to take off at 9:20am. We drove in rush hour traffic to get there by/before 7am because we were not notified of the cancelation until 6am by email. We were already driving & we do not use our cell phones while driving so we get to the check in at 7 and this is when we learn that the flight is canceled. Replacement flight leaves at 11 now and to an entirely different layover City! So in addition to the extra 2 hours, now she gets to fly an extra 2 hours on her connecting flight. Not a pleasant experience at all booking this with Travelocity unless you like sitting in an airport for over 4 hours and don't care about schedules.

Travelocity Practices Deceptive Bulk Fares

My parents bought tickets through Travelocity for my grandmother's funeral. My dad accidentally booked flights into New York (JFK) instead of Newark (EWR) on JetBlue. My mom realized it after the 24 hour period for changes had expired, so I called Travelocity to see if we could change the tickets to Newark and pay the $150 change fee per person. I was told that the tickets were non-refundable and non-changeable. I found out, after speaking with Jet Blue that Travelocity buys bulk tickets and they are the ones who set the rules about whether a ticket is changeable. I feel this is very deceiving because if you typically fly Jet Blue, you assume you will be able to change the flight and pay the change fee. Travelocity doesn't tell you that you are buying Bulk tickets. Although they say non-refundable, it doesn't say anything about not being able to change them. It says "Tickets are non-refundable 24 hours after booking and non transferable. Name changes are not allowed." It doesn't say you cannot change them if you pay a change fee. What's even funnier is they charge a price that is identical to what JetBlue charges. So you are getting less for your money than if you just went and booked through the airlines website. So now my parents are out $481. I think Travelocity's practices are very, very deceptive. Do yourself a favor--use travelocity to find your flight and then go to the airline's website to book your flight. You can get just as good or better deals that way, even on bundles that include car rental and hotel.

First and last time that I use travelocity

The Holiday Inn Express Asheboro was the worst hotel I have ever seen. There was no way we would stay the night in that disgusting place. The bedding was stained and the bed looked like it had been used. There were towels in the tub. The walls, ceiling and furniture had stains and stuff stuck on them like a food fight had taken place in there. At least I hope it was food. The door had a film where something was smeared all over it in maybe a failed attempt to wipe something off. Then there was the smell of animal waste. The kennels that my dogs stay at smell better. The only thing better about the second and only other available room was there appeared to be fewer stains on the walls. I told them that was unacceptable and that we were checking out. We were probably there for a half hour. They told me that since I went through Travelocity for booking that I would have to go through them for a refund. I called Travelocity and was told that they had to get permission from the hotel to give me a refund and they of course said no. I will not use Travelocity again. Why add a layer that when there is a problem they point at each other.

I have been trying to cancel a flight …

I have been trying to cancel a flight since 5:55 a.m. and can't get anywhere except recordings. I entered my phone number to have a call back which was suppose to take up to 2 hours and when they called back they announced they were having trouble with their system. It's now 10:45 and I still can't get through. I will never book with them, ever again.

Over priced…

I used Tavelocity to reserve a room and afterwards called the hotel directly to make changes and found out their fee was 25.00 dollars cheaper. Travelocity said the fee was not refundable.

Car rental price was not even close to …

Car rental price was not even close to what was in my confirmation. They conveniently left out the one way charge even though it clearly showed I was dropping car off in a different location. Next time book through the car rental site and not Travelocity. At least you'll receive an accurate estimate.

I would give Travelocity a minus 10 …

I just realized that I got scammed by a private travel agency posing to be Travelocity. I called Travelocity today, and the supervisor that I spoke with was extremely patient. If only I was able to bypass all the other individuals and spoke directly to her. Not even the corporate representative who I spoke with last night was able to do the footwork that this lovely lady did. Caution to users of Travelocity or any other similar site: please make sure that you are speaking to the correct agency. Better yet, reserve through Travelocity's official website. This has been a very stressful and humbling experience
