Disloyal, lying, corrupt, advantage takers at will.

Bought a package vacation were so have put a deposit. Over the phone I had discussed resort credits room desired, etc etc. now a month later I called back in to pay for my flights in full. And now they're not honoring what we agreed to after I put my deposit, which they say I will lose if I try to cancel. They told me the situation will be rectified with a 72 hr window. It been 10 days and still no reply by email or phone. Expedia/ Travelocity will never get my business in the future. Especially for keeping me on hold for over 1hr, and taking over 3 days for me to talk with an manager.

Use it to compare fares-- not book

Use it to compare fares, not to book. Because you're not dealing directly with the airline you can't make changes or rebook online, which is a real hassle.

useless service

I have been using travelocity for years to book flights. A few years ago, I realised that their price was not anymore any better than competitors but, out of habit, I kept booking with them. This year, I booked a flight China-Brazil with them, believing that the flights would be operated by KLM. I needed a bassinette for my daughter and was told that I needed to call four different airlines to organize that (4 different airlines, no kidding!) As I could not find information about luggage allowance, I asked Travelocity for help. Depending on the agent, I was told different information. - Some agents (more than one as I called quite a few times) told me to find the information on my own (which involves calling again 4 different airlines, including one, Xiamen airlines, that never picks up their phone… so no bassinette for that flight!) and with no booking numbers as I booked via travelocity. Else I could use the information on their webpage, which of course, does not include information for the package I have. - One agent, after a lot of drama on the phone, told me that I have 23kg per person. However, one link on Travelocity says that Xiamen airlines give two luggage of 23kg per person for trips to Brazil (but they are not operating my flight till Brazil). While KLM and Air France give two luggage of 23kg per person when flying to Brazil (but they are not operating the whole of my flights). - Fair enough, I called back Travelocity. One agent told me she will call me back in 2 hours after I started complaining about being put on hold for nearly one hour (international call). As she didn’t called me back after four hours, I called back and I got an agent who kept me on the line for over one hour again (love those international call fees!) to tell me that I had to find the information on my own as he wasn’t sure. When I ask to talk to his manager to complain, guess what, I was put on hold and nobody ever picked up! - The first agent ended up eventually calling me and informed me that she would call Delta (who set up the package but whose name never appear anywhere on the flights itinerary). She again said 23kg but the person in Delta wasn’t absolutely sure, so she told me she would call the 4 different airlines to find out. She told me I would get the information within max 48h. 10 days later, and 5 email asking for an answer later, I still do not know how much luggage I can take with me. I am not even able to get the cost of bringing an extra luggage. An agent told me 500 USD but Xiamen airline says 500 RMB (not exactly the same price!). So, yea, if you plan to book a flight, book straight with their airline and stay clear from Travelocity…. In any case, they are not anymore cheaper!

A Great Experiance with AA

I am Anna Elmen and I flew from Erie Pa. final destination Charleston SC with a short Lay over In Philadelphia PA on July 6 2017 I found myself at the wrong gate so I proceded walking fast to correct one and as I got there I tripped and fell. Two young people helped me up and one of your people at the gate checked on me while the other was on the phone. They said the doors were closed and I wld have to get a later flight. I was in tears wanting to get home. To my surprise the attendant called me and said that they opened the doors for me. As I entered the plane the Pilot was there to welc ome me on board and the stewardess gave me an aisle seat,,,,,,I was so impressed at the kindness of AA, When I travel back to PA I will make AA my first choice. Thank You for your wonderful service. Sincerely Anna M Elmen

Their prices seemed fair

Their prices seemed fair. But their customer service people are very, very bad at their jobs. After the airlines canceled our flight (after four hours, they couldn't clear our departure to fly, for which I'm grateful out of safety's sake!), we drove all night to another airport to make a meeting the following morning. Unfortunately, the airlines attendant at the gate cancellation airport did NOT switch the return leg of our roundtrip flight. After four calls to Travelocity--1 1/2 hours over four reps plus Facebook inquiries!-- I FINALLY got them to connect me to the airline. Problem solved in 5 minutes. Then, later, Travelocity responds to the online inquiry with instructions to go to the airlines desk at the airport I left nearly 24 hours prior..... Absurdly incompetent!

bait and switch

Get this, I was booking a room at Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa for my trip to New York through Travelocity. I decided to call to verify the room I was getting, glad I did. The choices showed 1 king bed, riverview, click on picture, shows a riverview. Next choice down shows 2 queen with view, click on picture, shows falls view. When I spoke to the representative she said it is not a view of the falls but of the river, she even saw what I was lookin at but still claimed river view and she tried to sell me a room that cost considerably more with a falls view. My ? If this room has a view of the river, why did it not say river, like the first choice? Glad I checked this out, this will be our 39th wedding anniversary and I would have been extremely disappointed once I got there. Anyways beware of Travelocity, they are misleading. BEWARE

Very poor service - cancellation policy a joke

Travelocity's "cancellation" policy is laughable; although the site recommends it to travelers, it really only covers you if you are dead or dismembered - in which case your travel plans are likely to be permanently canceled anyway. ZERO help when dealing with customer service. Do business with this company at your own peril.

DON'T BOOK an international Flight with Travelocity

I booked an international flight with Travelocity. If you read their cancellation policy it appears that cancellation or change is possible. I had a family emergency and they will not allow a cancellation or travel credit. This is unacceptable and would never occur if I had booked directly with the airline. I have used Travelocity for years. They have just lost a very good customer. I will never book with them again. if you are flying international...PLEASE BOOK DIRECTLY with the airline!!!! Learn from my very expensive mistake.

Horrible!! I will NEVER use this site again!!

Horrible!!! So we go to check in & ask if we can remove one day off the 4 we're staying because of work, the motel informs me how they have absolutely NO control over our reservation, that they can't make no changes at all! So I call Travelocity, they called the motel to get permission to make changes knowning darn well the motel can not, I was standing right there as the lady told him that he knows they can not do nothing that only they can, then he gets back to me & tells me they won't!! Omg I was furious!! I told him that I was standing right here & heard the whole conversation because the motel wanted me to, that's what Travelocity does they put the blame all on these motels so they look like the good guy that can't do nothing because of the mean ok motel won't! DONT USE TRAVELOCITY, or ANY SITE LIKE THIS ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM! They make a profit, if you cancel they will still charge you the full amount, ITS CHEAPER TO GO THROUGH THE MOTELS THEMSELVES!! These company prices are actually higher!!

Travelocity will charge you a cancellation, when you need for extreme situation (like seen a family in the death bed) they ask if this is a extreme one. ? . Them they want you with documentation to go to another company to make a claim . Is worthless TRAVELOCITY , my advice go directly to the Airline and avoid headaches. A disappointing ex customer

Travelocity is the worst third party …

Travelocity is the worst third party agency. I've been on the phone so many times with them. They hire from outside the USA headquarters in USA. Had to cancel my flight and get the correct flight. My fault there. Then after that they continued to send me my canceled flights. Finally after a few calls I got the current flight. Weather caused our flight to get cancelled. Travelocity did not care would not offer any help. This is coming from way up the chain of command. Well let's just say jet blue was kind enough to refund my trip there that was not refundable. The resort we were going to stay at was non refundable they were kind enough to refund my money. British airways says travelocity is responsible for the refund. Travelocity says they won't. So I will never go through this company again. Now this was for my honeymoon so you know. I don't have the money to pay for another trip. They don't care! Customer service is horrible they got their money British airways got their money my wife and I lost out do to weather sound fair to you?

Totally waste of time dealing with …

Totally waste of time dealing with Travelocity. You swipe the card and done. You call them for anything related to your booking and agent will tell you they cant do and instead ask you to call airlines or hotel directly. Agent will get her supervisor which will not do any good. I have learned a lesson that never book anything through Travelocity.

Never trust Travelocity

Never trust Travelocity ads for additional services such as rental cars or hotels. Prices quoted are totally bogus, and Travelocity's guarantees are worthless. Customer service is nonexistent, never returning calls or providing satisfaction when it comes to backing up their guarantee claims.Travelocity makes their money by referring you to scam ads-find a different service for travel needs.

Worst customer service in the world

Worst customer service in the world. I would have given them no stars but that wasn't an option. We missed our flight because we were no notified of a change. Consequently we missed our connecting flight as well. Spent over 3 hours on the phone and was offered a voucher to use for their company. Ya right, like I'm going to use them again. Never ever use travelocity.

Booked a flight through Travelocity - Watch out for the hidden charges

Booked a flight through Travelocity - ended up on Air Canada. All good until I wanted seat selection and was directed to Air Canada's web site at which time I found out that Air Canada CHARGES FOR SEAT SELECTION because the flight(s) were not booked directly with them. For four people flying from Portland, Oregon to Quebec City there was a $160 charge to select seats!! REALLY? I don't know if it's Air Canada flipping me off for not booking directly with them of what - but Travelocity should warn of the extra fees that will be incurred.

I cannot believe the run around I have gotten

I cannot believe the run around I have gotten with Travelocity. I booked a hotel with them. It was the filthiest, bug infested place there could be. I tried to get them to relocate me and refund my money. Called Travelocity Customer Service. Wait time for hold stated as 1 hour 16 minutes to 1 hour 53 minutes (luckily only had to wait 10 minutes). Relocation was nixed by them because there was "NO AREA INFESTATION in the immediate surroundings." Having a bug filled room does not count. Spend 2 hours on the phone that night to find out this info. Told by hotel attendant (no manager on site) that refund has to come thru Travelocity since paid thru them. So slept in car since was already 1am. After holiday trip, spent another 90 minutes on the phone to be told refund has to come from hotel. Also, they cannot find any record of my two hour conversation with them on THE night. How convenient! Still trying to resolve the matter. I can't ever imagine using Travelocity again.

Don't Ever Use Their Booking Protection Service- Total Ripoff!!

I booked a hotel room through travelocity. I found that the hotel was on a seedy side of town. There were prostitutes and drug addicts coming in and out of side doors. I asked the clerk to see the room and found that the furniture was worn and beaten. I told the clerk about and he tells me that all of the rooms were the same. He asked me if I wanted to check in and I told him that I wasn't sure so I left to see if I can get a room somewhere else. I felt that the hotel was not safe. I purchased their booking protection insurance and I got the impression that I was protected against this. I complained to Travelocity about this. They told me that they will call the hotel and put me on hold for quiet some time. When the Travelocity customer support returned she told me what the hotel said something different than what I told them and did want to believe what I had to say. She kept talking over me when I tried to talk to her. She was only interested in telling me that I won't get a refund. I will never use Travelocity ever again.

Assured us the rental car facility would be open for business. Instead, we were given the business.

I booked an eight day rental car through Travelocity. Come to find out, we could not pick up the vehicle at the scheduled pick up location because the facility was closed. Instead of charging us for an extra day to pick up the vehicle from another location that was open (the day prior), Travelocity forced us to pick up the vehicle the following day, on Tuesday. Not only was this a major inconvenience, but we still had to pay for Monday's rental even though we could not pick up the vehicle on Monday, as originally booked. None of the customer service agents or supervisors I spoke with was willing to take ownership of the problem and correct it satisfactorily. Deplorable! I would never use Travelocity again.
