I had been with Travelocity for a…

I had been with Travelocity for a minimum of 10nyears-probably more and never had to ask for anything special. We were looking for a Mexico vacation and we were of course concerned with the ability to cancel due to Covid. So when we started the booking it stated that the trip was refundable up to a week before-We had to change to go to Cancun vs Cozumel as our friends were not sure due to their age they could get around as easy and get to Cozumel. We went to change our plans and that when the fun began. They (someone in a foreign country) stated we can get a credit for the airfare but could not change packages even though we were going to same resort company and same airline. I asked for the refund and was told no, on airfare only a credit. This took 2 days, countless hours on hold and still the same result-They wanted %1500 more to go to Cancun vs Cozumel even with the same hotel chain! It was frustrating and difficult-No more and beware of phony guarantees they make.

Terrible Customer Service

My booking was not a problem but there was a question about currency conversion (I thought I had overpaid based on the rate promoted). I called to question them about it and was advised that the representative I was speaking to could not answer my questions. She advised me she would forward my issue to her support team who would contact me to follow up. A few hours later I received an email that the case had been reviewed, there had been no mistake and the matter was now closed. I sent a reply with my evidence and asked them to respond.. they did not.

I purchased a flight to Phoenix from Castlegar. A week later a friend pointed out to me that Air Canada flights from Castlegar had ceased months ago. Travelocity were STILL selling flights that didn’t exist. I contacted Air Canada and they gave me an endorsement code to get a refund from Travelocity. They refused, would only offer a credit with huge restrictions. I contacted my credit card company who are pursuing it with Travelocity. Dishonest business practices it appears.

BEWARE!! Travelocity is a horrible company

BEWARE!!! This company is horrible, i booked a vacation trip for my family together with my brother in love family. They received all notifications. We did the same together, i paid everything the same, but i only received the hotel notification but the flight (travelocity or spirit cancelled without notifying me) when i noticed, i thought that by chatting with travelocity agent i will be able to fix the flight issue, they told me that I HAD TO CONTACT Spirit, i called the number provided and spirit never answered. It was a mess, i ended up canceling everything and redoing the whole vacation with Expedia, bit thanks to travelocity error, i paid more. HORRIBLE experience. Can u imagine us going to the airport and find out we did not have a flight reserved???

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

I have been on the phone with the Filipines for over 36 minutes trying to report human trafficking being possibly promoted on Travelcity . I looked at a hotel called " Roomy 3 bedroom two bath structure on a hill overlooking the Caribbean sea . " The very last picture is one of teenagers with a sign that says " Pansexual Orgies " . To me this seems serious . Is this hotel promoting human trafficking ?? And it's on the Travelocity website ?? The guy blew me off in the chat and said I need to report it to authorities . NO!!! Travelocity needs to ! It's in St. Croix . Look at the picture and tell me what you think . It is weird . Travelocity should not allow hotels to advertise with a suggestive human trafficking picture like that on their site .

The Parrott Inn, Key West, Florida

Recently traveled to Key West, stayed at The Parrott Inn. I usually travel down at least once a year to visit my brother. This was my first time at the Parrott Inn. I must say it will be my go to place in all future stays in the Keys. EJ was wonderful, when asked if i could extend my stay, he quicky and efficiently took care of my wishes. Jarred Lewis, Nino, Jessca, and Agnus served my friends and family at the Parrott Key, they were so friendly, always smiling. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I unfortunately didn't get the names of all the staff, but I must day they were just wonderful. I would reccommed if you are going to Key West the Parrot Inn is the place to stay. They have multiple pools, a lovely bar at poolside, waterfront rooms, and the best people working there. My compliments to everyone there, my trip was so pleasant.

No Follow Through & Horrible Customer Service

Like many other travelers our flights were cancelled to Peru in early April due to Covid and once we saw that things didn't look to get any better we decided to get our money back. When we called Travelocity they advised us to contact the Airline (Latam) so we did. Latam then advised us that we needed to go through Travelocity so we called them again. Travelocity advised us that this was incorrect and they would contact the airline and get back to us (which they never did) so I followed up (There were several calls back and forth trying to get a hold of a Supervisor to escalate the issue since Travelocity Reps would tell us one thing and the airline would tell us another. When I finally got a hold of a Travelocity Supervisor he advised me that they had contacted the airline and that the refund process would take 12 weeks. I then received and email from Travelocity requesting our passport numbers so that they could finish processing our refund with the airline. I called around week 4 and 6 to follow up the rep advised me that they still hadn't received anything from the airline. Now it's week 14, I called the airline and they advised me that their last communication with Travelocity was 14 weeks ago when they called to find out about the process of refunds however they had not submitted any documentation for the request. I called Travelocity and was advised by the rep that a supervisor had already put in the request, when I confronted him with the information the airline gave me he "put me on hold" and then hung up. I waited a few minutes (because they always as for a number "just in case the call drops") but no he never called back. And here I am waiting another hour on hold, 14 weeks with no refund and no answers.

This is the Crappiest company that I went through in my life and if they think I'm not going to do anything they are totally wrong I'm going to go to the police and file a report against them from stealing because that's what it is it's stealing my money ,they use the fact that covid 19 affected in order to scam people and is trying to scam me for over $1,300 ,from a ticket that I already paid for and they don't want to refund me because of covid 19 , I wish I could place here they screenshot of the email that they sent me , they lie over and over and over again and the people that answer their phone calls is a bunch of chicken without a head they don't know S*** they don't understand S*** and they lie all the time they lie lie on top of lies if you have the chance please don't buy anything from this crappie company because they don't stand behind the work they do, they get paid to do the work you go through them and then they try to scam you and they lie to you in your face again I just wish they allowed me to put a review with a screenshot of what they did and TAP Portugal the flight company is another piece of crap company as well. And by the way the number I entered is my flight ticket number so this MF can't lie in here.

If I could give Zero stars

If I could give Zero stars, I would!! I have been on the hold with Travelocity for hours at a time to try and speak to a damn human about getting a refund and I have yet to get that figured out. I will never use Travelocity and I will urge others to do the same. They are garbage!!! I just want a refund for my 2nd nights stay due to our hotels power being out and us having to end our vacation early and head home.

Awful company that lies to you over and over

I purchased tickets before a coronavirus crisis to fly from USA to Europe. The Brussels airlines cancelled my tickets. After few days on call with travelocity( new tickets were much cheaper and i would loose $600 dollars) i was able to use my airline credit for another dates with an upgrate - this was again cancelled the following day by the airline. Since as my flights were cancelled twice i requested a refund . At first they said that my refund was approved by airline and i will receive it in 10 weeks . After 10 weeks i did not receive anything and after writing them at several occasions they told me that airline decided not to refund me after all because they do not need to based on department of transportation regulation from end of May 2020. I requested them to show me their communication with the airline but they refused. This is completely dishonest company . They were practically lying to me for last few months. Because they were well aware of the department of transportation directive when i submitted my claim. Seriously disgusting . I will never ever book through them .

Last 2 travels with this company was a…

Last 2 travels with this company was a disaster. on 8-16-20, we arrived at the airport 2 hours early....our flight had already left. talked to the airline, they had changed the flight 3 times since we booked it. We were never notified on any of the changes. Travelocity also tried putting the blame on the airlines for not notifying us about the changes, they notify the agency you book with, then the travel agency is to contact you. 4 hours on the phone (while at the airport), they did not want to reimburse us for an extra night stay, the taxi rides, food, or lost wages since we had to call into work& take a vacation day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT OTHER TRAVELERS BOOK WITH ANOTHER TRAVEL AGENCY.!!!!! This was the 2nd time in a row that we have had problems with this booking agency. So travelers beware that if you book a nonstop flight , for example from one of our trips, it was changed multiple times to a layover at another airport. So dont pay the extra for the nonstop flight....they will change it to be at least a 1 or 2 stop flight. I filed a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU as well.

Travelocity, I like them.

I have used Travelocity for booking flights for a few years, had to make some changes a few time and they were professional and did the changes promptly. If I don’t book directly with airline I will only use Travelocity (hotels i book with sister agency Hotels.com) , once used other and it was a nightmare. My recent flight to Thailand was canceled due to COVID and they were very helpful with canceling tickets and rescheduling flights. There was a long wait time but once on the line it was pretty quick.

I wish I could give the middle finger I showed up to the airport and the flights although I had a confirmation number and email and my card was charged the tickets were not processed.... I then got some story promised and emailed a credit and the email from a manager. When I attempted to use this credit as instructed I was transferred all over the world from India to the Philippines in total I have spend 8 hours on the phone trying to book using my own credit and nothing. They suck so badly after I get my credit I will not use them ever Again.

AVOID TRAVELOCITY/EXPEDIA!!

-I booked airfare & rental car for a Scotland vacation through Travelocity on 11/14/19. Mind you, I also purchased "trip insurance" because this isn't an insignificant amount of money. -I received an email 5/27/20, stating that the airline had cancelled my flight and that Travelocity was "working incredibly hard to pursue a refund from the airline" on my behalf. -I officially cancelled the entirety of the trip 6/15/20, as there was no other option. -I called/spent 4 hours on chat on 6/18/20. I was assured that I would, in fact, receive a refund for the airfare (I have screen shots). I also called the "trip insurance" company and was told that it wasn't a covered event and to continue dealing with Travelocity. -I received a partial refund for the rental car and insurance on 6/22/20. -I received an email 6/23/20 stating that I had been issued a credit from the airline. The email also said "We will continue communicating with you via email when we have further details about your airline credit." As I had already been promised a refund, I decided to give it some time. -I contacted Travelocity, via chat, on 7/24/20 and was again assured that I would receive a full refund for the airfare (again, I took screenshots). I was given a case number and was told that I should hear something in 3-5 business days. -On 8/5/20, after no further contact, I reached out to them via chat and was told, after two hours of back and forth, that my best recourse would be to take it up with the airline directly. Unless I can get someone from Finnair to answer, it appears that I'm out $2500+. Travelocity does not honor what it states repeatedly to customers. Their claims of "exceptional service" and "dependable support" are patently and undeniably false. AVOID THIS COMPANY AND ITS AFFILIATES AT ALL COSTS!!

Travelocity: Simple trips, yes. Else, Beware.

At issue: Multi-leg round trip from US to Europe (yes, more comlex..) during 2nd quarter of pandemic Question: Streamlined travel services on your smart phone. Does it work? Answer: No, well - not as I see it and as I expected it to be, even when taking pandemic circumstances into consideration. Here is my gripe: Travelocity (TVLY) is supposed to deal with the airline re tickets so you won't have to. I'm surely only one among many who had some leg in their travel itinerary cancelled by an airline due to Covid-19, thereby doing in he entire trip. Rebooking To summarize, TVLY would not allow a rebook without added cost of $650 just for new booking and airline tickets ('reticketing') Eventually I simply managed to bypass TVLY to get what i needed, without paying extra. Things often change, things are not streamlined any more with travel and you need help. In my case (more complex!) TVLY didn't work. Best advice I can give is to deal with airline directly yourself when it comes to resolving problems. You better off that way, I believe. J P

Travelocity is corporate profiteering

Travelocity would not give me refund for a cancelled flight to Germany after listing "flights" from an "airline" that doesn't actually have planes. Travelocity props up, and is okay with lying to their customers about, a fake german "airline" called Involatus that is actually just a scam travel agency. Travelocity takes no responsibility for listing this fake business as if it was a legitimate airline. Travelocity makes $914 million dollars annually but can only say they are "sorry" instead of refunding $1K to someone after they had their flight cancelled.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. $248.00 down the drain as they would not give me a refund. I tried to cancel a hotel reservation in early June. I ended up in a chat room for an hour. The "virtual" agent finally said they were contacting the hotel and would cancel the reservation. I told them I had an important appointment and needed to leave the chat but to email me a confirmation of cancellation. I realized this month I had not seen a refund on my credit card. I ended up back in a chat with a virtual agent and just then realized they did not follow through with the cancellation as requested. Apparently after I exited the chat, the agent response was "we've been disconnected; call back if we can help". It was nonsensical given my directive. The virtual agents are robots and cannot process any unexpected information. You would think they could do this even if i got off the chat. They have my email and could have used that or a phone call or a text to say they had not completed the cancellation. This would not happen if a human were on the line. They kept trying to blame the hotel and said they would not refund the money. Travelocity made the error. Will never use them again.
