Good luck trying to use your credit.

I booked a trip through Travelocity in 2020 for my family that we ultimately chose to cancel because of COVID. Travelocity was great and canceled my flights and gave me a nearly $1800 credit. The trouble started when I attempted to use the credits. First, the links in my account to the credits don't work. You are forces to call them. Beware call wait times are over an hour. I opted to key in my phone number for a call back. That took 90 minutes. I could barely hear or understand the service rep who called me back. When I told her this, she hung up on me. Next option was their chat feature. Again, 90 minutes. I kid you not. The person did not help. After all that time, she then told me their system was down and that I should try later. Out of desperation, I posted something on their Facebook page. Low and behold, I got a response right away suggesting we message one another. I gave this person everything she needed: dates, times, flight numbers. She gave me everything but. I got flight info for South Korea, Australia and Scotland, but not where I was looking to go in the US. This went on for 3 hours. Again, I kid you not. When I finally got a quote for the flight, it was $111 more that what was on their website. I was told the price I pulled up was no longer available. Funny, I just checked again and the price I found still shows available. I emailed the CEO and filed a complaint with the DOT. Travelocity lost a customer today.

STAY AWAY!!!! Should be a class action lawsuit against this shame company!!!

After reading the reviews and experiencing the wrath of this BS company, Travelocity should be put out of business! My flight was cancelled due to the pandemic Andi tried to get my flight pushed because of the pandemic. I called the airlines and they were about to book another flight (WITHOUT A "CHANGE FEE"! But then couldn't change the flight because they said I booked through Travelocity, which is proof that this garbage company spikes airfare to profit from circumstances!!! Travelocity preys and profits on circumstances not in your control! I will never use their garbage service again!!! After reading the reviews, there should be a class action lawsuit against this shady, predatory garbage company!!! Then, to make matters worse, they said it will take 8 to 12 weeks to get my refund!!! The airlines states that it refunds in a lot less time than Travelocity returns your fare fee!!! They should be put out of business!!!! STAY AWAY from these crooks!!!

Won't help you if there's a problem!

In January, 2021 I made reservations through Travelocity to stay at Westgate Painted Mountain Golf Resort in Mesa, Arizona arriving on January 19th and checking out on January 20th. After checking in at the front desk I walked to my room and noticed bags of garbage leaning against the wall just outside my door. After entering my room I noticed a strong smell of marijuana toward the back of the room likely coming from the connecting room next door. In addition to the smell the bathroom was dirty and the guests next door sounded as though they were in my room. It was clear to me that there was no way I or anyone else could enjoy an evening in that room. I picked up my luggage and immediately returned to the front desk. I informed them that the room was unsatisfactory and why and that I would need to be moved to another room. His response in condescending fashion was that because the rooms all share the same configuration they would likely be no quieter while overlooking the other issues I mentioned. Following his refusal to move me to another room I asked for a complete refund. His response was that he would not be able to process a refund because I had booked through Travelocity and the refund would have to come from them. I then contacted Travelocity and stayed on hold with an associate while they called Westgate. The customer service agent at Travelocity after speaking with Westgate informed me that Westgate had refused any kind of refund and that there was nothing they could do even though it was Travelocity I directly paid. I then took my check in information and key and returned them to the front desk and informed them I was leaving. I then booked another Hotel in Mesa for that evening. It is clear with documented proof I did not receive the services from Westgate I had paid for having instead to book last minute at another hotel. Being tossed back and forth between Travelocity and Westgate I am disgusted with the service and the way I was treated by both Travelocity and Westgate to the point I would never use or recommend either of them in the future!

Terrible Customer Service

I had a credit to apply to a future flight which I was trying to book. I waited on line for an on-line chat for over 2 hours for somebody to help me, but gave up. I did this twice. I called them, they said they would call me back within 2 hours. They called me back after a couple of hours and said "no one can help you at this time, please try again later". I called again and they did finally call me. I had a $100.00 credit to apply to a $350 first class flght (according to American Airlines). Travelociy told me I could fly standard fare for approx $80.00 but first class fare would be over $2,000.00. During this time I was constantly put on hold by a person who could barely speak English. I did not make the reservation through Travelocity but instead called the American Airlines Directly who applied my credit and booked me on first class for approx $260.00. I will never use travelocity again!

FALSE RESERVATION FOR BAIT AND SWITCH

I reserved a car then drove a long distance through commute traffic to pick it up. When I got to the rental place - they said they did not have the car I was told by Travelocity had been reserved. They had a more expensive car. Travelocity used me to bait and switch! I will NEVER use this company and I will tell everyone I can: DO NOT PATRONIZE TRAVELOCITY.

These guys are trying to ruin my vacation and doing it with spite. They cancelled all my flights and told me it would take 12 weeks to get a refund. Funny, cause I paid you in 2 minutes. Not sure how that adds up other than they are terrible. The trip insurance I bought didn't help. They provided no alternatives that worked for the week we have scheduled, and all other flights are now 40% more expensive.

Travelocity Customer Service

All their prices are secretly in USD

All their prices are secretly in USD, but there's no way on the website to a) actually clarify this, or b) change currency. Worse still, I contacted them through their live chat to determine if, in fact, the price is in USD (while I was located in Aus, booking an Aus hotel), and their Customer Service agent had no idea. He didn't even seem aware that multiple currencies use the '$' symbol - I had to explain to him that, actually, Australia, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand - all use the dollar symbol for their currency (...facepalm). This lack of transparency is highly deceptive - in fact, it is likely to be a calculated and purposeful misrepresentation designed to trick naive customers. All other booking websites have a currency selection feature, or will at least clarify what currency the price is listed in, in 'price details'. Shopper beware!

Terrible customer service.

We had booked 4 tickets to St. Thomas. My husband I could not go because he became sick. The other couple is still going. I called to cancel our 2 flights but needed to be sure the other couple’s flights remained intact. The first woman obviously didn’t know how to do this. There was a language barrier too which made it difficult. After 40 minutes, she said it’s done. But the flights were not canceled. 2 days later I called again. A different woman (again language barrier) kept me on the phone for over 1 1/2 hrs. I still have not received confirmation of the canceled flights. I will never use Travelocity again.

Had to change plans due to covid-19

Had to change plans due to covid-19. Not only did Travelocity tell us they had no power to do anything (anything!), but that all credits are directly with the Airline. They could not help us with new travel plans, and couldn't even provide contact with the airlines to help book another flight. And because we booked through Travelocity, though they play no role in anything, we have to book with them again to use the credit specifically for the airlines. I do not know what the Travelocity service actual does, as they seem to provide no actual service. Do yourself a favor and do not book anything through Travelocity. We are now losing $1300 dollars, have had to cancel all vacation plans and could not be more disappointed in their customer service.

Travelocity cares nothing about the customer...

Travelocity does not represent the customer. Booked a room that upon arrival was filthy, had literal bugs, burned holes in one comforter, stains on the headboard that was covered up by pillows, hair all over the bathroom floor, and smelled terrible. I left within and hour (waiting for someone to help me there), and went somewhere else. The hotel refused a refund and Travelocity said, "We must explain that we operate under the policies of the vendors whose services we sell and we have no authority to circumvent or to override those policies. ". In other words, they care nothing about the customer. I used Booking.com to find another room in the area and they were pleasant to work with and empathetic to my issues with Travelocity. If you want to be mistreated and waste money then Travelocity is your to go.
