They sent me an ambiguously worded email on a Covid rebooking, resulting in me losing $1500 on flight credits. Poor communication and customer service.
Terrible customer service. Tried over 20 times to contact customer service. Don’t bother calling. It claims a 1-2 minute wait time and then you’ll be waiting for hours. I was only able to get a decent helpful agent once, and what they had promised never happened. I ended up booking a one-way flight outside of Travelocity as they wouldn’t change my booking.
Horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT book through this agency. I tried to use a credit from a COVID cancelled trip but when I typed in the credit code, I was told by United Airlines that the code was invalid and that the credit that I'd been told was there was fake and didn't exist. When I tried to call them, the 1-2 minute wait for the agent took 90 minutes before I hung up and had to leave for another obligation. I tried the Messenger and was first told they were too busy to deal with me, then briefly conversed with an agent, Cheryl, and was told that things would be resolved within 24 - 48 hours. Of course, since then I've heard nothing from them except for unwanted spam for hotels where I'd wanted to travel to. I've attempted messaging again but have waited for more than 24 hours without a response other than the automated one. What this company is doing appears to be fraudulent and likely illegal. DO NOT USE THEM. The Federal Trade Commission should investigate this company for criminality.
I was on the phone with them for an hour and 15 minutes for them to tell me to call the airline directly to try and get a refund for a flight that I paid an extra $100 for flight insurance!! They wouldn't let me cancel my flight through the website so calling was my only option at this point. So disappointed and will not be using Travelocity again.
Been trying for 2 days to get through to Travelocity both on phone line as well as "virtual chat". Short hold was 55 mins long hold was 1hour 45 mins even after being told a customer service rep would be with me in 1 to 2 mins. What a joke. Going the virtual chat route I was shown a message after describing my problem the someone who could address my problem better would be there shortly. Yeah right ! Issue was that I made a reservation for a hotel in Springfield Oregon for this coming Memorial day weekend to visit daughter and grandson. Was staying until Tuesday June 1st because my American Airlines flight out of Portland was scheduled for noon. Plenty of travel time. Then my flight was changed to 9:30 am. Didn't feel like getting up at 3 am to make the 2+ hour drive, hit Portland rush hour, drop off rental car, etc. So just wanted to keep my hotel reservation for 3 nights instead of 4 and book a room closer to airport. I called hotel first and explained the situation and they understood and said because I booked with Travelocity I would have to get them to contact hotel to cancel the 4th night. Will try again to contact Travelocity at maybe 3 AM . Will never use them again.
I'm writing this as the clock ticks to hour four of my hold time with Travelocity customer "support". Most businesses operating in the 21st century can provide an automated callback. Not Travelocity. I think the Sears Roebuck Catalog had more sophisticated phone support. The reason I'm on hold in the first place is that Travelocity is attempting to fraud me out of $900 I spent on a flight that was canceled due to COVID. I understand that every business is facing challenges due to a pandemic, but this has been next-level manipulative. Travelocity hasn't even put in the effort to give the mirage that they care about you or your travel. I would feel in better hands buying snake oil from the MyPillow guy. Counting the six hours I spent with their chat "support" last night, and the four hours I waited for an American Airlines callback, I've now spent approximately 0.2% of my life dealing with a flight credit that could have been handled in 5-minutes. What a shame. We don't get that time back. I will never book with these predatory frauds ever again, and I advise you to do the same. Google Flights has the exact same functionality. If you are booking any sort of travel, cut out the predatory middleman and use Google Flights. I'm begging you.
tried to cancel my trip twice on Travelocity. the bot stated that an agent should be on in 1-2 minutes, I have now been on hold for 1:38:5. Tried calling using different phone had to listen to same music, still without response. I will not be using them again.
Be warned!! Travelocity no longer cares about their customers safety! Recently I booked with travelocity. Not only was the hotel disgusting (brown gooey slime in the toilet) the electricity of to a wall did not work. This means you can not charge your phones on this wall and the hotel's phone DID NOT WORK. If there was an emergency we would have not been able to call 911. On top of all of this we were informed WHEN WE WERE LEAVING that there was no hot water. We did not feel safe and DID NOT stay. The travelocity agents did not care and are refusing to give a refund. Be cautious if you choose to book with them as they are now promoting unsafe environments.
booked room 2 months in advance.Got quarantine and could not go on trip. Called a month before to cancel stayed on the phone for an hour before someone came on to help . She said that she had cancelled our reservation.. Now we are billed for 277$. Awful customer service.
Had a trip cancel due to covid and was told they could not issue a refund because it was booked through a third party. Hello you are the third party. You took my payment as a third party but can't refund because you're a third party. Never again will I use your site.
Never, EVER again! I tried to use my credit of $500 when flights were canceled from Covid and am told 1) I must fly with my partner to use the credit, or forfeit half. 2) I must use the same airline. 3) The new flight will cost $850 when the airline price for the same flight is $560. I'll let you do the math. Avoid these crooks and book directly with airlines!!!
Not even a 1star company. Customer service is a joke. They just run around transferring calls and making a claim that they don’t have authority to assist you with the problem. They make arbitrary decisions that affect your wallet. Then refuse to speak with you or work out a change that is workable to the customer. Don’t use this company.
I lost more than 2,000$ worth of tickets because i was sold fake tickets from this site and weren't even in the plane’s schedule. I was left at the airport with my kids for over 10 hours waiting for another flight I had to buy. I wouldn't recommend and i hope something is done about this
I have used Travelocity for several years. Last year I booked a hotel through them in New Orleans for spring break next week. I received an email from them yesterday canceling my hotel because they are closed. I called the hotel and they have been closed since a year ago due to COVID and won’t likely reopen until April or May. Travelocity accepted my reservation and gave me false information and then waited until one week before we were supposed to leave and cancelled our hotel leaving us with no where to go! I tried calling them and they WILL NOT answer your phone calls. I was on hold for over two hours and ended up hanging up. Never. I will never use their services again.
I had to change flights due to Covid - I followed the steps on Travelocity and selected the new flights. It stated I had to call. After getting called back their agent "Vicky" stated it would be $78 more per ticket for five tickets - then lost everything, started over and bumped it to $109 more per ticket. They then indicated I would have to wait two hours to know if I would get the tickets in question and indicated they emailed me which has not happened. While talking with the agent I researched the same flights ON TRAVELOCITY again and found them for only a $8 bump. Travelocity "support" I feel was fraudulent and I will be reporting this to BBB and every travel review website I can find. Their agent tried to pass off a fee bump as an airline fee when the airline clearly states there is no fee.

Don't waste your money with them!! You can purchase price match guarantee and flight protection and still get ZERO money back! Its a scam!
I cant even check out. I click on the flight I want and it says error for days. Seems like false advertisement. You cant book on the phone. Customer service over messenger has no answers.
I booked a flight to Spain and of course the pandemic made that impossible. Now I am battling getting my refund back which can take up to 12 weeks because Travelocity is waiting for Air Europa to pay them back before they pay me back! I have documentation from Air Europa that would help me expedite the refund and they cannot give me a direct email to forward that document. Furthermore, I was promised a call back that would consist of a 3 way call between myself and the two companies that never took place and was told that it is not possible. I will never book through this site again. To make the consumer wait and suffer while they battle out who is responsible for payment when I already have confirmation of who is responsible is Outrageous! DONT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY TREAT THE CONSUMER UNFAIRLY
