Rude and nasty attitude

I could not give a ZERO - so i am giving ONE STAR. For the first time, today, i had to call Travelocity's Customer Service. I am so disappointed with the rep (Robert) i got. He was very rude in the way he delivered the information i needed. He came across rude, argumentative and full of attitude. If i ever have to call Travelocity again and anyone name Robert answer, i will end the call. Very disappointed customer.

Travelocity is a scam

Travelocity is a scam, they sell one thing and the companies deliver something different and they don't care. All our American airlines flights were changed despite booking months in advance. We booked a car rental through Travelocity using Easirent in Tampa Florida, we payed insurance and set up a pickup time using Travelocity and Easirent charged us again for insurance and we had to wait 1.5 hours for our rental car pickup. We booked a bay view hotel through Travelocity for the Hilton resort and Spa in Clearwater Florida based upon pictures of rooms from the website only to receive a parking lot view with only a tiny view of the ocean. We called Travelocity to complain and they did nothing to help.

Frequent traveler

Frequent traveler. Due to COVID, my travel plans were cancelled by Travelocity. I did not receive a refund. Only an airline credit that could only be used once even if I didn't use the full credit. The remainder was forfeited. The hotel was not refunded. I called the hotel. They informed me that Travelocity keeps the money. The hotel does not receive any of the money if the customer does not actually stay there. The bottom line is that using Travelocity cost me more in penalties than if I had booked everything directly myself. Lesson learned. Shame on Travelocity.

Robbers

I booked for one date, reservation is for a different date. Hotel says changing it is up to Travelocity. Spent 6 days working with Travelocity, they would get back in touch every 24 hours, travel day came and went, I had to book somewhere else, lost my money. It’s a scam.

Total frustration

I cannot begin to describe the level of incompetence at this company. I am now 6 days and 9 separate attempts into trying to resolve a problem, and they have only made it worse and more confusing. I have been disconnected, kept on hold a number of times, once for nearly 2.5 hours, and I still don't have confirmation of my changes. Sure, booking something is easy when you only have to interact with a computer, but God help you if the airline cancels your flight. I was issued a credit, but told I can't use the credit online, that I need to talk to a supervisor...but they can't transfer you, you'll get a call back - which NEVER COMES. Their online "chat" help is a joke, as is their social media help (Facebook). With regard to the latter, HOURS go by between exchanges. You're "chatting" with someone, they ask for a piece of information (phone #, itinerary # or the like), you provide it, and then hours go by with no response. Do yourself a favor - stay away from Travelocity.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. A number of years ago, I used them for hire cars, but now they've changed completely, & in effect they act like fraudsters. We booked a hire car for 2 days with Travelocity, purchasing insurance as well. We paid around 60Euros. We turned up to the hire car company (Nu) & were told that we would have to pay an additional 110 Euros insurance. We told them that we did not wish to go ahead (we went to a nearby car rental firm & hired a car for 2 days including insurance for less than the cost of Nu's insurance). Travelocity tell us that the money we paid them is non-refundable. We're fighting this through the bank at the moment. Travelocity & Nu are scammers, & everyone should be aware of this.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt

Corrupt corrupt corrupt! Do not use this company. All of their charges are lies; the hotel rates are way less. You can not get ahold of anyone. If you cancel, they will never refund your money, even though you have not yet stepped foot in the hotel. I tried to cancel a reservation literally five minutes after I booked, once I realized they lied about the 50% discount on their website. I looked at the hotel website, and found out that the hotel rates are way less than the 50% off on this company's website. It takes days to get ahold of someone. They refused to refund me, claiming that the hotel does not give refunds, which is a lie, and I found that out after contacting the hotel. One of the hotel desk employees informed me that this company is lying to me. They will take your money, and will not refund you. Do yourself a favor, and don't buy anything through this website. P.s., all of them are in India, if that makes you feel any safer. Good luck.

Total scam!

All is good unless you need help from this company. Then the problems begin. Meaning - you do not get any help at all. Feels like a total scam. We had to re-schedule a stay because of COVID. They did exactly nothing - no re-schedule, no help! Every time on the phone they lied that within 24 hours problem will be solved only to not get anything from them! Asked for refund and received nothing! Be aware!

Horrible

Horrible! I got to the hotel today, and was greeted by mosquitoes outside and inside the room; so I immediately left without staying! There is literally NO CELLPHONE service in the room! And it is impossible to talk to someone to cancel the room for a refund! They tell you the wait will be an hour; then they will call you back, and a recording comes on and says the computers are down, so you have to call back in 2 hours! Then you call back in that time, and it’s the same thing over again! Save yourself some money and NEVER book with Travelocity, and NEVER book a room at Chicago Lakeshore hotel, at 4900 Lakeshore drive!! This is a fraudulent company and hotel!!

I needed to cancel my hotel in the UK…

I needed to cancel my hotel in the UK for a second time because of the Pandemic and travel restrictions. I was given a coupon the first time I had to cancel and I booked with the coupon the second time and brought travel insurance. When I sadly had to cancel the second time because of travel restrictions. I called so many times used virtual chat waited on the phone for hours. Virtual chat never had anyone avaliable, hold time on the phone of an hour. They tell you they will call you back and when they do you are put on hold again. Told I could not change my reservation because I had already cancelled once. Called the hotel they said I could cancel up to 24 hours before but had to go through Travelocity .Travelocity said they would not refund my money or change my reservation although the hotel was ok with it. Ok , disappointed but I brought travel insurance I will use my travel insurance which I paid for. They want to refund $80 of a $700 trip. Not only disappointed to have my plans cancelled twice because of the Pandemic but to be ripped off and have my hard earned saved vacation money stolen from me. Its outrageous Horrible service , horrible rude people and the worse travel agency FYI this trip was fro my wedding so you can understand my sadness and frustration Benita Tapia

Travelocity is the worst.

Travelocity is a horrible on-line travel agency and I would recommend to never work with them. Their agents have no idea what they are doing and actually seem to be actively seeking to defraud customers. I bought a ticket on Avianca (on which I am at the highest elite level) for $1,215, which I couldn't use because of COVID-19 restrictions, and had to cancel the flight, and was told I would get a full refund. I tried to call them on at least 8 occasions and could never get through to an agent. After waiting 8 hours on hold, I got through to an agent, who changed my ticket, telling me I was going to get a high-level fare, yet charging me $300 (total $1,515). I just talked to an agent of Avianca, who informed that the ticket they gave me was worth $520 and was not upgradable, did not include luggage, etc. Basically, they robbed me of $995 dollars. I will never, ever use Travelocity again. They are thieves and liars.

I was cheated out of my money.

Booked a room that was supposed to be for May 7th but when I got to the hotel I found out it was booked for June 7th. My mistake so I called to see if I could cancel and was told it was non refundable. I decided I would just make another trip back in June so didn't cancel. Got an email from Travelocity June 6th confirming my booking. Tried to check into the hotel June 7th and was told my booking was canceled. They said the only thing I could do was pay for another room and try to get a refund from Travelocity. I told them I am not paying twice but did have to go to another town and rent another hotel from a different chain. Never again will I use Travelocity and never again will I pay for a room in advance.

You have lost my business for ever…

You have lost my business for ever ....this includes your other travel company,,,Expedia ...been doing business with you for 20+years....but your handling of pandemic credits or refunds on flight has been pathetic at best ....even the hotel we booked refunded the purchase with courtesy and promptness. Months later still dealing with your inept and disrespectful employees. Just do the correct thing and stop trying to screw people.

Travelocity is Terrible

Showed up to New Orleans and the hotel was not a hotel at all. It was an air bnb type place that was double booked. The money was already taken out of our account and we had nowhere to stay. All of New Orleans was booked solid. We will never use Travelocity again.

5/31/2021 - I’ll never book another hotel or vacation through Travelocity! I had to pay fo r additional air fair for 2 and stay in a hotel until I can fly United airlines today due to incomplete booking and over booked plane with Spirit... You can not get anyone on the phone, waited 1 hour on hold... which is complete BS.... If I could give 0 stars I would they don’t deserve 1 star...

Terrible customer service is bad.Been dealing with them and trying to get a refund for over a year. They cancel my hotel no one said anything try to cancel my flight no one can help me. Customer representative hang up the phone when they do not want to deal with it say they will call back no one calls back. Been trying to speak to a supervisor for a long time they say supervisor had to call you no one never calls back. Have a lady name Thelma on the phone I'd #110 that didn't even bother checking and told me I cannot get a refund because she does not want to be bother on calling the airline or doing her background check on the matter. Past few days spend hours speaking to representatives and getting the phone hanged up or no help. Terrible site do not recommend it to anyone.
