I just arrived home from hell

I just arrived home from hell because of this company. I went to bury my mom this past weekend 3k miles away from home. They stranded me with no place to stay with a 5 year old child on the streets of tampa. I know from prior experiance that getting them of the phone is impossible as twice I was on the phone for 6 hours to be hung up on. It takes them a week to get back with you via messager.... This was after I tried to change it and they wanted me to pay an additional 300 a person. They are not helpful and I put in a bbb report to no avail so I am not sure what to do

SCAM ARTISTS

Complete scam and customer service is a JOKE! Don’t EVER buy from them...hope the government gets involved and busts this scam company. Business practices are fraudulent!!

Travelocity is a rip off

Travelocity is a rip off. I booked a car rental through them with Thrifty, I called Thrifty within a few minutes to cancel the car rental, Thrifty stated the money was sent back to Travelocity. I then called Travelocity, I was told the refund would show up in my account within 72 hours. When that didn't happen I called back got another run around. This morning I received an email from them stating that Thrifty kept the money. Thrifty stated they sent the money back. I will not stand for this, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, the Attorney General and will be speaking with an Attorney. If anyone else is having trouble like I did please file a complaint with your Attorney General office, it's the only way Travelocity will start to be held accountable. Hopefully at some point an attorney will jump on board and a major law suit can be filled against them.

Travelocity is a scam.... Buyer Beware!!!!

Travelocity is a scam. They do not keep their rates updated and charge excessive fees. I recently paid $426.18 for two nights at a hotel. When I checked out of the hotel, I curiously asked for the bill and received charges for 0ver $131 dollars cheaper than what Travelocity had charged me. When I contacted them, they gave me the runaround and wanted to make it right with a $25 gift certificate. This service is a joke. Don't take my word for it, just read the other reviews. Needless to say, Travelocity did not give me the best possible price, and I was out over $131 for using their service. they should have refunded me the 131 dollars, but instead have decided to give me the runaround. This is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Horrible service! I will NEVER will I use Travelocity for anything else. They have lost yet another customer, and I will make sure all my friends, family, and all my social media connections are encouraged not to use this horrible company.

Impossible to cancel a reservation and 'customer service' isn't 'customer service'

I booked a flight and a hotel well two weeks in advance. When I attempted to cancel, a few days later, I could not get a refund for the flight and I couldn't use the so-called 'credit' on another flight I booked. Although the person I talked to informed me that I would get an Email confirming my hotel cancellation, after not receiving one for a week, I called the hotel and they informed that they had never been notified. Now I'm back on the phone with another 'customer service' agent that has me on hold while she tries to figure out what happened. I asked her a simple question "Why would I cancel the flight and not cancel the hotel? I'm still waiting for an answer. Now I've just been informed by the agent that my hotel is non-refundable and I can't speak to her supervisor because she doesn't have one. What an absolute disaster.

Travelocity cancellation insurance policy is a scam

If there were negative stars I would rate Travelocity as that!!! The cancellation policy they highly push on you as you purchase a flight. It continually pops up, highly recommended, is a total joke. They will not honor it, and also you have to contact the insurer in which they give you to run around. Never again will I use Travelocity in the future, extremely dissatisfied and disappointed

Abysmal customer support experience with Travelocity

I had an abysmal experience with Travelocity support this evening. I received a call from the reserved hotel this evening indicating that the King room I had booked through Travelocity was not available. However another room with 2 beds was available. If that was okay, he recommended I contact Travelocity to change the room and get a refund for the lower price. Gary from the hotel indicated he would confirm this when Travelocity would call him. I proceeded to try to use the Virtual Agent to make this change but was told I needed to talk to an agent. I called and had to navigate a frustrating menu until prompted for my itinerary number. Unable to enter that number quick enough (I was on my mobile phone),the call was dropped. I wrote down the 14 digit number and called again. After navigating the same frustrating menu, I entered the number. Things got worse. An agent came on the line who could not clearly speak English. Nor would she listen to me. Ske kept taling about a penalty charge for the change. I asked for a supervisor and was placed on hold. I gave up after 30 minutes. I then called the hotel and worked with them - they were very supportive in contrast to Travelocity. To add insult to injury, I found out I could have saved a substantial amount by booking directly through the hotel. Travelocity = higher room prices and extremely poor customer service. I will not be doing business ever again with Travelocity.

DO NOT buy ticket on this website

Firstly, the website would not let me cancel my ticket due to travel restrictions on the website by myself. So I had to call the company. I called it 2 times, both of agents hanged up on me when they said they were going to checking on my ticket information. (first time I called them at 8 p.m. and they called back at 11:45 p.m. Second time, I called them at 8 a.m. the next day, they called me back at 9 a.m.) Secondly, I chatted with an agent on their website and he told me that my flight has been cancelled. However, I did not receive any emails or confirmation states the ticket was canceled. I still see my flight and no credit on the website. He said it would take time to reflect. That is almost $2000 for this ticket. I would give a negative rating if I could. Please be aware of this. Never buy a flight ticket on this website.

Travelocity was dishonest

Travelocity was dishonest and took our money then only gave generic responses. We had to cancel a flight through Iceland Air and instead of giving us the three year credit timelines they made the voucher only good for one year while things were still closed. The representative at the time said don't worry about it and call them so they could correct it since with COVID things were a bit crazy., I gave them the benefit of the doubt and got ripped off. Now they it is too late and forfeited so tough luck. Then in the email they have to guts to say "thanks for doing business with us". How insulting to any reasonable person.

PÉSIMO

PÉSIMO, yo compré dos pasajes en copa Airlines y resulta que Travelocity nunca confirmó, solo los reservo y sin embargo ya me descontaron de la tarjeta. Ya van 10 días y no me reembolsan mi dinero, tampoco contestan los emails. Son estafadores !!!

Never use this company to book a hotel

Never use this company to book a hotel. Me and my husband booked a hotel 2 weeks before 4th of July at Portage Indiana. So when we came there - they did not have a room for us. They said that they sent an email for us that they don’t have that room available anymore, but we did not get any email from them. So we had to book another really expensive hotel, because of the holiday all of the hotels were booked. So when we came home we realized that Travelocity charged us for that hotel that kicked us out!!! Really???!!! How is it even possible?!!

Zero Customer Service - 3 Hour Wait Times

Do Not use this company if you think you may need to make any changes to any booking that you have. I booked an international flight with them and wanted to change the return date, you can't, it's virtually impossible. You have to call a USA number, you are told wait times are 3 hours, they will call you back. I did this 3 times, each time after being on the call for 30 minutes and explaining every single detail of the change you need the call hangs up, they don't call back even after they promise they will, and you have to start over. Expect to speak to somebody who could be anywhere in the world, on a poor line with an accent you cannot understand. Finally after many tries I am told the cost of changing my flight is higher than the cost of the original ticket. In summary non existent customer service, you have been warned! PS - I did not even tell you that they told me lies, told me they cannot change the flight and I need to contact the airliines directly, complete BS

Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service. Just tried to adjust my check-in date. After an hour spent between the phone and virtual agents, an agent switched my check-out date instead of my check-in date. He logged off the chat when I called him on the error. The next agent that logged on was not able to correct the mistake because my room was no longer available for my desired day.

Despite the choice of a more expensive…

Despite the choice of a more expensive fare during the booking process and the debiting of money for this, as a result, tickets were issued with a cheap fare at the price of an expensive one. It is impossible to call or receive a written answer to the claim. Disgusting service.

Gave one star because there was no 0 star option. DO NOT< DO NOT, DO NOT use this company for any of your travel needs. I have been a loyal member for 10+ years. Of late the companys services has become pathetic. Made car reservation and changed the date for late night flight into a small airport. One the day of travel, called to confirm that change has been made. Was on gold for 2 hours and 50 minutes and HAD to disconnect the call because I reached security check at the airport for my trip. Previous day disconnected after one hour and 35 minutes. Tried web chat. No luck kept getting messages saying no one available to chat. Pathetic customer service. Travelocity made my trip miserable. Called the car rental company. Got through in 6 minutes. But they cannot help becaue booking was made through travelocity and only they can help. But cannot reach them. They dont care about thir customers anymore. Sadly I will never again book anyhtign through them ever again. Already signed uo with another travel service. I predict travelocity will go out of business soon. I will not be sad about that though. Such companies deserve to!

4hrs and counting!! Smh

This has been my worst experience when it has come to customer service. I have been going back and forth with travelocity concerning my car reservation for the past 4 hours!!! Going back and forth being hang up on...getting transferred to the wrong people...everything you can think of and it's ridiculous. I of course heard of people going threw things like this and always thought of they are probably just being "Extra" well I now know 1st hand that it is possible. O have been on the phone with then since 7:20 am it's now 11:53 and no answer has been given....and all I wanted to do was reschedule my pick up time for my car because my landing time change. A simple problem only call for a simple solution! Not all of this. Needless to say I will never book threw them again! Waiting for an email now from one of there team...wish me luck!

I paid a vacation package 5 months in…

I paid a vacation package 5 months in advance. I get to the airport and all flights canceled for at least 2-3 days. Spirit agreed to refund me. Yet travelocity wants me to pay $275- penalty fee for my hotel to cancel. I explained it was the airlines not me. They put me on hold at least 5 hours total and 6 different people who do not speak good english and do not get it... scam...scam... I had to complain to BBB

Booked a car rental

06/28/2021: Booked a car rental. Hertz. 06/29/2021: Showed up only to be told Travelocity overbooked them. No cars available. Cost me $40.00 for the cab ride to the rental place. I had to beg the Hertz manager to give me a ride back home. EDIT: 06/30/2021 - My bank statement shows a $30.00 charge from Travelocity for unknown reasons... Never again. You SUCK! *uck you Carl Sparks. You piece of *hit.

No customer service

My flight was canceled so I spent 7 hours trying to get through to modify my reservation. I was hung up on, told I could not be heard and told it was past check in time so the change could not be made. This was after waiting hours for multiple call backs. Do not use this company!

DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY.

DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY. They messed up SO badly on the trip we booked for our honeymoon. Charged us 5 different times (over $6,000.00) and didn't refund for 2 weeks. Also charged us for our flight but come to find out they somehow only booked us 2 one way trips. So.. we got stuck in Cancun and had to, out of pocket, buy 2 more (extremely expensive) tickets. When I called to explain how frustrated I was and ask for a refund, all she could say was "I'm so sorry but there's nothing we can do about it" Yeah, screw that company.
