I have a question and I called…

I have a question and I called Travelocity who tells me to call the airline. The airline says they can't help and I need to a call Travelocity. I called them and they disconnected me after having me hold for 30+ minutes. This is a circus. I will never book with them again. In the 2 hours of being passed back and forth I could have reached my destination. Ridiculous.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I would stay away from this business as far as you can. I had a horrific experience with Travelocity attempting to rent a car. The car rental site was unable to give me a car as I used a third-party service. I contacted Travelocity and got disconnected THREE TIMES after being put on hold when asking for a refund, so I had to explain my situation over and over again, only to be told I had to contact the rental service (which I did). All of the agents sounded like they were reading a script and were not helpful whatsoever. After finally being ran around so much and with no car or refund, I had to file a claim with my bank account which is currently being reviewed. This is a horrible business and I would 1000% stay clear of them.

Over charged after booking through Travelocity.

I booked a hotel through travelocity at the price of 374.00 per night plus tax. I was billed 533.36 per night. I called the hotel and they told me that was the rate that travelocity privided to them in order to process the charge. I also ordered a rental car and the upcharge from Travelocity to Hertz was increased by 400.00. I will never use this service again. I would highly recommend Expedia next time you want to travel.

I have booked four hotels through…

I have booked four hotels through Travelocity and the Rakuten site, and while it claims to offer rewards I have yet to receive anything. I used Priceline during this same period (one was 4 months ago) and I have received my reward credit from them. While Travelocity states that it takes up to six weeks for credit to be issued, this is August and trips from April and May still have not been credited. It may only be $9.00, but it is still dishonest. I now know that my last two trips made last month will never be rewarded either (about $11) I will use Priceline when I book in the future through Rakuten. I tried to contact them but the chat box put me on hold and said a person would contact me text when available. Right. Of course that never happened.

Be Very Careful

Be very, very careful when using this site. The infraction(s) they committed against me are of recent (and my bank is fighting), and their gross misconduct is too much to go into. You’ve simply been warned.

Horrible

Terrible to work with. Charged my credit card 6 times and never would send me an itinerary number or any sort of confirmation. The few times I go through customer service they hung up on me and couldn't help me unless I had my itinerary number. Had to call my credit card company to not process payment.

Bad business policies ...

I’m all for business ... small and corporate, but if the business does NOT PROVIDE A GOOD NOR SERVICE the payment should not be due. Travelocity will not back this.

Booking was easy but the rest is painful

Booking was easy. The rest was terrible. The automated agent asked the same questions over and over. If you want to book something they make it easy and take your money quickly. You want to change or cancel they make it painful and no telling when you will see your money. I will not use Travelocity again if I have other choices...

Learned my lesson

Learned my lesson. Will never again use or recommend Travelocity. I was provided a flight credit of $376 they refuse to honor. Even with emails letting me know to use my credits, customer service states it’s a “glitch”. Extremely disappointed! Go directly to your airline’s website to book. Don’t waste your time/money with Travelocity.

Never do business with this company

Word of advice: don't use Travelocity to book airline travel. I used Travelocity earlier this year to book airfare, and later needed to change the trip. When I booked, I was told that the fares would have no change fees. When I cancelled, I was told I would be issued credits that could be used for travel in the future. And it is here where Travelocity starts playing games. It turns out that when Travelocity issues you airline credits, these credits can only be used on "credit eligible" flights in the future. That seems reasonable. Except, there are *NO* credit eligible flights available in the Travelocity system. I have tried using these credits for every conceivable destination at different times of the year, and I always get the same result: no credit eligible flights. Now I ask you this: what is the functional difference between a credit you cannot use and no credit at all? If you said "none", then we are in agreement. To make matters worse, Travelocity's customer service is virtually non-existent. Wait times for an agent are well over an hour and when you finally get to your place in the queue, then their systems don't work properly and just hang up on you. Contact them online? Nope - no answer. Feedback on Facebook? Thus far useless - they just delete the comments. This feels like a giant scam that allows Travelocity to basically just pocket the fares. This is utterly outrageous. Big companies like Travelocity appear to me to be profiteering off of situations like this; they make it impossible to use these credits, and they make it impossible to contact anyone in order to get assistance. The lesson I will follow, and which I will encourage every one of my friends and colleagues to follow is this: never use Travelocity for *anything*.

Literally the worst company around

Literally the worst company around! Please do not use this scam of a Company or its parent Expedia - you will live to regret it. Worst customer service ever and they continue to work against giving you any refund. Must be the only way they can stay in business is by scamming their customers. Total and utter garbage!

Worst company ever! I will never book anything thru them ever! I hope the Government gets involved. They hold your money and try to give you credits, without reason. On top of that its an 11hr phone wait to talk to someone and there is zero way to contact them through email. Please stay away from them!!!!

Puerto Plata

They sold us a package in Puerto Plata that was in another city 2 hours away with no airport transportation. They rated the resort 3.5 but the stay was subpar. The resort is very small with only one bar and one full sized pool. Rooms were not updated or accessible for disabled guests. The doors were very hard to open due to the wooden frames swelling. The king superior room is very small, only accommodating 2 people at most. Balcony was a good size with plastic furniture. There’s no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby. We didn’t use the TV but it was very small. There was an iron and ironing board but the safe costs per day and there wasn’t a mini fridge as advertised. We were only able to get dinner reservations for one night. We chose Melt, we were served in LaVela since Melt was closed for some reason. We ate at the buffet on the remaining days, food was not satisfactory. The day and night entertainment was a band and a game of bingo. The bars and restaurants closed early and there’s no after hours service. Lastly, we were not given clear instructions on times and days to take Covid tests, we had to ask around. Later having to cancel our day of excursions because the tour was scheduled at the only time we could get testing. We enjoyed our stay on the beach and the coffee was excellent, but we will not be returning to this resort or using Travelocity for any other trips.

Travelocity refusing to refund

Travelocity refuses to issue a refund for a cancellation fee that the hotel has waived. Travelocity states that they can’t contact hotel to confirm fee has been waived, yet I have contacted hotel twice and there’s a record of the fee being waived under my reservation number. I followed Travelocity’s protocol but they refuse to issue refund. Terrible customer service. I will never use Travelocity again or recommend this company.

Do not use this company for anything

Do not use this company for anything. Customer service is non-existent. They do not answer the phone and do not respond to inquiries on Sundays. When you get someone to respond, they give the issue to someone else. In short, you give them your money and they disappear.
