SCAM--Do Not Order

How I wish I'd read these reviews before ordering. I was in a hurry and wanted to thank a friend for doing a huge favor, so I quickly placed an order without doing the research I usually do. Believe all the one-star reviews and DO NOT order from this company. They give you a tracking number, and no way to use it on the website. When you finally find a place to enter it, it funnels you to a huge international tracker that mandates that you pick from 711 shipping options to search for your tracking number. When you call, you get an automation that tells you to go online. If you try to call and get through via any of their other options, it'll just ring and ring and ring. No one answers. They tell you in the FAQs that emailing is the best way to track your package. A sure clue that this company is a scam. No package, and no way to get in touch with them. Save yourselves the headache and heartache. This company needs to be shut down.

Please do not order from this company

Please do not order from this company I ordered for a wine box containing two wine bottles and they send a box with just one wine bottle in a cheap bottle and worst of all it was already tampered wine was spilled in the box after complaining, they told me that they cannot be responsible for any damage or lost of goods during transit. This was a shocker I also send them the pics of wrong order and yet they have not taken any action I have asked for contact of any top representative in their company but no response I also left a negative review on their website but their website deleted the negative review I send them several emails but no response Please do not order from this company.

Thanks for my gift basket, NOT!

Thanks for my gift basket! Actually, I'm joking. My Mom paid an extra $100 for my gift to arrive on my birthday, it didn't arrive and of course you blamed COVID. Why offer fast shipping if you cannot provide goods and services as advertised? Also, the neighbor said the items arrived on Wednesday (5 days late) in a squashed box, I am not at that address anymore..I was for my birthday weekend. But I bet you blame FedEx for that one. Before the neighbor threw out the "gift basket" she looked at the items inside. The 18 roses were squashed/dead, all the chocolates had almonds and hazelnuts even though my Mom told you I have a SEVERE NUT ALLERGY and there was also some Christmas Hot Chocolate. Please forgive me if I'm wrong but it's only August and it's hot, I don't want a hot coco. There was also no balloon which she paid extra for. My mom has sent you numerous emails to be basically blamed for your bs company providing bs services. Shame on you and thanks for ruining my birthday. And per your Facebook comments back to me that "you're sorry for my experience", you're not sorry at all and you won't " take on any feedback accordingly"

HAZELTONS IS A SCAM

Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing!! Purchased a 185$ gift basket for my daughter 21st Birthday. It was PATHETIC!! I specified to call before delivery to ensure she is there to receive but not a phone call made (185$ basket and they could not make a phone call for 1$). Cake melted, bouquet withered, Ciroc Vodka (blue) was a rip off at 100$. I can share photos of the same if anybody needs to verify patmax14atgmail HAZELTONS YOU NEED TO SHUT DOWN!!

Atrocious company, service and products

Ordered $120 worth of gift basket for a special family member's special birthday. It arrived with no cool or ice packs and the flowers were dead, chocolate melted, cheese congealed and wine was body temperature. I complained with photos to Hazeltons and was totally brushed aside. No apology, no refund or new products sent out. I've been waiting for over 10 days for a response to my follow-up email but am now going to see if I get anywhere through my credit card company, as having now read the reviews here and on Twitter, I don't think I'll be getting anywhere with them. Am utterly shocked that a company can so brazenly operate like this with no shame or remorse.

I got scammed

I got scammed. I wished I saw these reviews before I ordered from Hazeltons. AVOID them. 1) It's not next day delivery as they advertise. It is 5 day delivery 2) They purposely swap out all the wines you select and deliver cheap stuff. You do not get what you paid for. No point to pay for premium wines, they will still give you the cheapest stuff. 3) Flowers are not really fresh flowers. They are sunflowers that die en route 4) Customer service avoids you and refuses refund Can you believe a company would actually do something like this to hurt people - especially during this time of covid where everyone is going through tough times. Truly disappointed in these people's ethics. How do they sleep at night?!!

Received flowers were not what I paid for.

I ordered and paid for champagne and a bouquet of 30 carnations and lilies (50 USD for the flowers) to celebrate a family member's completion of cancer treatment. The flowers received were: 3 stalks of Gerber daisies, 2 stalks of purple and yellow daisies, 2 stalks with green berries, and some basic filler. In my opinion, there was no attempt at a substitution of "equal or greater value." Upon my complaint, which included pictures, Hazeltons response was these were of equivalent value and there would be no refund for the difference in cost. I can only infer that this is how Hazeltons makes a profit: by charging for one item and delivering a less expensive product to the recipient.

The gift basket delivered doesn't match what was ordered or paid for.

The gift basket delivered doesn't remotey resemble the product described and paid for. Below customer service response where partially fullfilling an order and not providing a refund seems to be company practice . We are sorry to learn that you are not satisfied with the products delivered. In addition to a dramatic influx of orders resulting in unusually high volumes as more customers turn towards online purchasing, several of our regular suppliers and partners on whom we rely to restock products have temporarily suspended operations over COVID-19 concerns. This development, in addition to our regular substitution policy which stipulates that we reserve the right to substitute products with the closest available alternatives when necessary, may result in you receiving items that partially or wholly differ from their original product descriptions. Refunds/exchanges will not be issued for items that have clearly been substituted. Although it is simply not feasible for us to contact all customers beforehand to discuss potential substitutions, we are pleased to assure you that utmost care is maintained when making such adjustments on your behalf, which in turn ensures that orders are delivered as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times. Thank you.

Disappointing and frustraing…

I had been a repeat customer but when I complained that they somehow sent multiple spicy items to my 80+ year old parents in a gift basket, the company explained that these items could not be exchanged ore refunded. There was zero information/warning that they would be sending spicy items. I suspect it must be due to inventory stocking issues and they felt it was convenient to dump the items onto customers.

Don't ever purchase from them! HORRIBLE

I would NOT recommend anyone ever use Hazelton.CA or any of their gifting services. We purchased a gift basket and additional edible arrangement for a friend who had to postpone her wedding. Firstly, the items were delivered WITHOUT A SELL BY DATE, and everything looked moldy or out of date. We could not even try it as there was not expiry date, so this is certainly in breach of their terms and conditions and health and food regulations. Secondly, the edible arrangements did not arrive, simply put they refused to acknowledge the order and fulfill it. How disgusting, they just took out money and never fufilled our order. Finally, their refund team didn't acknowledge proof sent of videos, pictures, or complaint itself, simply citing the following: 'Based on the images submitted for review, the chocolates can be safely consumed by the recipient, if they choose to do so, despite their mild discoloration; the chocolates are not "moldy". In some instances, the photo on the website may represent an overall theme which cannot be exactly replicated.' MY ADVICE, DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I had read the negative reviews

I had read the negative reviews, but given so many positive reviews, I went ahead and ordered a champagne basket delivered to Montreal. They substitu ted everything with the cheapest option possible. Cannot say much about other stuff but they charged me for the stainless steel champagne bucket- $25 (as I had ordered), and shamelessly delivered the gift in a galvinized bucket ($8.00)- both are listed on their website. They show pistachios, and sent 150g pack of some chip nuts ! Honestly, every single item was replaced w something cheap. Upon sending an enquiry, I got a long forwarded reply basically coming down to that they reserve the right substitute ! It wasn't even christmas time that they ran out of stuff ! (Order was placed in August) PATHETIC

I would stay away from this company

I would stay away from this company. I ordered a gift basket for a friend who travelled for a family emergency. I ordered a chocolate and tea basket and also a magazine for her flight back. They made an error and didn’t include the magazine and added some chocolate nuts to replace the magazine. She is allergic to nuts. I advised them of the issue and they said they would do nothing. Horrible service. I just wanted to be reimbursed for the magazine portion. Stay away as they provide horrible customer service.

NIGHTMARE OF AN ANNIVERSARY GIFT!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE SCAMMERS! I ordered the BEER A YEAR gift basket (28 bottles a bottle a year) for my husband on our 28th Wedding Anniversary. Not only did the gift arrive 3 days late. What was inside was a bottle of whey protein, a chocolate bar, a packet of nuts and a protein bar. HOW DIFFERENT CAN THAT GET !!! I completely understand that the beers are substituted for what beer that is available in the country but there was not even a single bottle of beer in the gift! There was a special meaning to the gift especially when I paid $200 for it and got stuff that’s not even worth $50 instead! When I emailed customer service, not only were they rude and unapologetic, they mentioned they had the right to substitute the items as they saw fit. I have written several emails to them to resolve this issue and have not got any reply from them. The worst bit was my complaint status was changed to RESOLVED which I can’t understand why especially when I am still waiting for an explanation from them. They don’t even deserve one star!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Very dishonest. I originally requested my order to be delivered Federal Express for an extra $49.75. I then read that UPS and Federal Express take both 3 days. I asked them by email to change it to UPS. ( difficult to talk to a person)They did but refused to refund me the $49.75 that I paid for Federal Express. They never told me they were not going to refund my money for the Federal Express shipment. I obviously would not have changed the type of shipment if they informed me of this before they changed to UPS. The package was sent out on Aug 3. It is now Aug 7th, still no package! They claim it was because of the hurricane. No hurricane in Tampa,Florida! So much for celebrating an engagement and special birthday. Don’t use this company. So dishonest and little communication!

Beware of this company!

I posted this review directly to the company’s site but it says it has to be “approved” by admin.. so I’m sure it won’t be posted but do not ever use this company! They sent the completely wrong gift basket for Mother’s Day and was a few days later than the date they stated it would be delivered by, which was the Friday before Mother’s Day. It showed up after Mother’s Day. We emailed to notify them with photos the incorrect package was sent.. all the way down to the incorrect (deflated) balloon. Their first response was they don’t provide refunds due to items damaged in transit... not sure where on earth they got it was “damaged” so I explained it wasn’t damaged. Their second response was “under no circumstances do we issue refunds in the event that a product or order is rendered damaged, lost or undeliverable while in transit with a third-party courier.” Their stipulations don’t say anything about not providing a refund for the INCORRECT gift basket being sent. I have asked for a refund multiple times over the last few months and nothing. Followed up AGAIN a few days ago and their response was “the reshipment was damaged in transit and will need to re-shipped to you.” No one asked for this to be “re-shipped” and now they’re paying for even MORE postage for all these supposed “re-shipments.” Just do what a legit company would do and send a refund back because your company screwed up. If they don’t want to provide a full refund, at least refund the charges for the “extras.” This has been the worst experience with a company and terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Unless you like “surprise” gift packages... that won’t include anything you ordered and will jip you of any add-ons you purchased.

WARNING: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!

I ordered some chocolate covered strawberries for my mom for Mother's Day. I paid $30 extra for delivery in time. First, the delivery did not arrive till the tues after Mother's Day. I emailed them as soon as I knew it was not there on time. They never got back to me. When package did finally arrive, what was supposed to be expensive chocolate covered strawberries was nothing more than chunks of baking chocolate. WTH?! Then when my poor mother took the packing out of the basket to use it she found MOUSE POOP in it!!! I emailed immediately to get my money back for all these accounts. The never got back to me. I reached out to them through their website. They never got back to me. I called them. For one, they never answer, so I left a message. Guess what? They never called back. I finally got a hold of someone via email who told me my claim was not valid because it was not reported within 5 days of recieving the package. BS! I emailed them with an issue even before the package arrived and then immediately afterwards. I included screen shots with the dates on my previous emails which all included pics of the block of chocolate and the mouse pool. They never got back to me. I will have to disoute this through my credit card company. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!!!

Do not order from here

Do not order from here. Save yourself the money and the hassle. Please read I full before choosing this company. My birthday just passed on Monday July 27th. My boyfriend ordered this in advance on July 23rd. He selected specific items for me, which involved. 1 balloon 1 potted plant 1 happy birthday teddy bear Fruits Chocolates Wine First of all, it came in a cardboard box, it wasn’t delivered beautifully the way gift baskets are usually delivered. I work for a hospital, and it resembled all the boxes of supplies I order. Had I not checked the boxes right when it came it, I would have just assumed it was something to be put away. Secondly, the Cjxolyes were 100% melted. There was not one solid piece of chocolate. It was 100% watered down. If you shook the bag, it sounded like a drink or something. (Both bass of chocolates were like that) The plastic holding all terms together was torn apart when I opened the box. There was no balloon. They never included a balloon. There was no plant in the plant pot. They just sent me the pot. How on earth do you forget a plant! The fruits were spoiled. The bag they were in was full of condensation. The teddy bear was a plain brown teddy bear, not the one he chose. He had chosen a cute one holding a gift that said happy birthday. We both sent an email to corporate asking for a refund and they got back to his before mine asking for pictures or evidence Of how it arrived which I sent, including a video of everything. Then they responded with a long BS email responding bsically stating that we should have known better than to order perishable items and that a great presentation is not guaranteed and that they substituted whatever they didn’t have. The next day they responded to my email and said the SAME THING. So they have this bullsh*t of an excuse already written down somewhere ready to send to anyone who rightfully deserved a refund. Please do yourself the favor and do not give these people your money. Do not send a friend, family member or loved one anything from here. It was only AFTER we read the reviews that we were horrified that the majority of them were like this one. For anyone who wants to know what my response was, please let me know and I will forward it to you so you can see what we’re dealing with here. (I am pasting my review here because it needs to be “reviewed” for the hazeltons website which it was most probably be denied. They don’t accept bad reviews on their website which is why everyone comes to a third party source to express their experience.)
