They took 2 payments and refuse to refund me.
I contacted Bord Gais to change my billing date. It had been set towards the end of the month, and as my wife and I get paid on the last working day of the month sometimes this would fall right before payday. I had asked to move the payment date back by 3 or 4 days to the 2nd of the following month, which they did for me. I also asked for them to confirm that my bill would be taken on the 30th of March but not again 3 days later on the 2nd of April which was confirmed in writing. Low and behold they take a payment on the 2nd of April. I contacted them about it and received an email apologising for their error and promising that they would refund me after the 12th of April. This has never happened. I have emailed them several times and I keep getting the same response, your account isn't in credit so we cannot issue a refund. Even though I was assured in writing that this payment would not be taken and that the refund would be issued. I've sent numerous emails at this point and yesterday at my request I was promised a phone call from a manager or supervisor. This never happened. They have literally stolen an extra payment from me and refuse to give it back. During an energy crisis. When people like us are struggling to cover their energy costs and these companies are making massive profits.
