Tre Xanh Hotel was a scam and Travelocity too!

I used Travelocity to book and pay Tre Xanh Hotel in Hanoi for February 15-17. I arrived at the address provided but there was no Tre Xanh Hotel. There was no Tre Xanh Hotel phone number so I could not contact them either. I had to look for another hotel that night and it was stressful. The next day I contacted Travelocity, and I was on the phone with them for 20 minutes but got disconnected. I contacted Travelocity again and emailed them several times, but about a week later they emailed me and said no refund. I believe Tre Xanh Hotel was a scam and Travelocity was also a part of the scam. I expect to get my full refund because there was no service for two nights prepayment. A few days earlier I also had a similar situation in HCM city when I booked Hoa Thinh Hotel through Travelocity for February 13-15. I arrived at the address provided and the people that lived there said the hotel was closed long time ago. Travelocity did refund my money. Should Travelocity periodically check to see hotel providers still in business?

KEEP OUT DANGER

KEEP OUT DANGER I booked a ticket to NZ, It didn’t say that it’s in USD dollars. Topping up they charged me separately for return tickets , where while booking online , returning ticket said $0, very misleading company. Please keep out. Customer service is appalling. They don’t know what their customers talking about, and not helpful at all. ITS A HEADACHE DEALING WITH them. This is my first and last time . I ended up paying nearly $ 1000 aud for a ticket to NZ where the duration of the flight is 2.5 hours, whereas other websites offering cheaper than them. If I could give 0 star I would but there’s no option. As not worth even a star.

I booked a car rental through them

I booked a car rental through them. I showed up to pick up the car 30 mins before the pick up time and there was no Routes located in the Krakow airport. I called Travelocity and let them know so they tried calling them without any success. I asked for a refund but they said Routes did not want to refund my money. I ended up calling Routes and they claimed they only get credit when the car is picked up. It’s a complete scam. I don’t know how Travelocity still exists after reading all these complaints. I called my credit card company to stop the payment to them. Hopefully it all goes well.

Horrible customer service

Travelocity customer service needs some serious upgrading. I spent over 2 hours trying to change a flight via their chat service. No clear communication at all.

I rented a car via Travelocity

I rented a car via Travelocity. The company I picked from the list on their site was a company called ZEZGO. The thing I neglected to do was look at ZEZGO reviews before I booked 😱😱😱 My bad. ZEZGO are a joke. READ THE REVIEWS ON ANY SITE THAT HAVE ZEZGO ON IT, BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO WITH THEM. This is a message to TRAVELOCITY. By having ZEZGO on your site your are complicit to the stress, hurt and anger that your customers are experiencing on a nice holiday. It should be a good experience, not a nightmare. Do yourself and your customers a favour and drop ZEZGO CAR RENTAL.

AVOID

AVOID! They charged me twice and the customer service agents are either too stupid to engage with a simple query about why I've been charged twice or they deliberately pretend not to understand so they don't have to give refunds.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware! Did you know that if you purchase your airline tickets through Travelocity and the airline makes a change in your travel plans including seat assignment in business or first class that Travelocity will not help you in making changes? I had two round trip tickets to Ireland and United made changes that kicked me out of Premium Economy to coach. Travelocity said too bad and did not offer to help me get what I had paid for. You are on your own. You are better off just booking directly through the air carrier where you have some rights over what you have paid for. Very poor customer service. I will never use Travelocity again!

Had to cancel flights booked with Travelocity. Received email that my money was refunded...it was not. Then spent hours and numerous phone calls attempting to get my money refunded. Totally unhelpful customer service. Reps seemed to be reading from a script. No manager was available...or so they said. Even tried to call Traveocity corporate..not in US, only a recording. never received a call back. What a nightmare. I would not ever recommend Travelocity for flights.

SCAM!!! fraud!!

SCAM!!!! FRAUDULENT!!! Do not trust this site, unless you don't care about your money and last minute hassle to rebook another room! I seriously have always been the one to only use booking.com, since it was founded. And last minute I had to find a room in Auckland cbd I booked with Travelocity and it was dodgy from the get go! I shouldn't trusted my own gut! But I didn't.... Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else! And I hope this site gets shutdown. I'm not to be racist but i heard slot of stories around Australian (indian) hotels are the ones that are scamming through this third party (Travelocity). You will be promised a refund, but eventually find out you weren't going to get one at all. Cheers that is all unless you can rate it 0

Total scam

Booked 4 tickets and a car yesterday. They called me at 11pm and then emailed me there was an issue when I didn't answer. Spent 2 hours on hold this morning for them to come back and offer my original flight to me for $8000 more than I paid for it yesterday.

Bait and Switch

We booked a Cancun area trip for 3 as it was time to get out of Norhteast in January. We make lemonade out of lemons, but it’s hard to overlook the following: The all inclusive hotel we picked - turned out to be not all inclusive, as Travelocity hid this fact in fine print. That’s just garbage. The hotel pictures were photoshopped and highly selective, so an absolute bait and switch. Hotel Villa del Palmas was probably pretty nice when built 60 years ago, but now is dated, run down and run by the locals with little to no training. 100% of the running water in our all inclusive hotel smelled like fresh human sewage. Not in the pools where there is lots of chlorine, but in the sink and shower. So bad, that I avoided showering for 5 days (2 disgusting showers here, 1 elsewhere) that’s in 84 degrees. If you dont close the bathroom door, the whole room smells like human feces filled wastewater. The restaurants were a disappointment. The service was ok, but the food was trash. The last place we ate at - the fanciest steak house there is here, we got 70% fat in all meat dishes. The all-inclusive price for a meal for 3 was $500 and $900 for the Japanese place the day before. Uninspired except the octopus ceviche, that was good. The rest of the dishes need better quality ingredients and execution. We made it fun by buying activities and getting the hell out of here as much as we could. But an all inclusive hotel is for you to go there and stay, and I can’t wait to leave.

Worst travel company ever

Worst travel company ever! They canceled my flight to my honeymoon at short notice. Saying that the agent that spoke to my husband said to him to cancel hotel/flight. Barely speak English but he said he would understand him. My husband didn’t understand half the stuff he was saying. Scam of a company ruined my honeymoon. A bunch of B.S! Whatever upper management he said he was speaking to about my situation that probably doesn’t exist! Is worth absolutely nothing! Stay away from this company. $1,200 just for my flight tickets. Please book directly with your airline. And find your hotel yourself.

Absolute Nightmare!!! Never again…

Had an absolutely horrible experience with travelocity. Will never book with them again. My trip was heavily affected by weather, and my first flight was changed quickly and efficiently due to the circumstances. However, my return flight was also heavily affected by weather and when I called Travelocity they told me I needed to contact WestJet. I spent 4 hours on hold for WestJet, and finally when WestJet answered they were very helpful, telling me I was covered under a special weather policy they had that was effective until the 8th. They told me they took notes on their end and would wait for a call from Travelocity to get my flight changed for me no problem. Upon contacting Travelocity again, they lied to me repeatedly, saying they "weren't allowed to call the airlines" and that WestJet's phone lines are "closed" so they wouldn't be able to reach them anyway. (By the way, I called WestJet again immediately afterwards and they confirmed for me that their phone lines were 24/7). Eventually the agent I was speaking to put her supervisor on at my request and he cut me off whenever I tried to explain the situation and hung up on me. They told me they'd call me back within 24 hours and to no one's surprise, they did not. I have honestly never experienced customer service quite like this before. I very patiently spent 6 hours of my life just trying to get my flight changed since WestJet's policy allowed me to do so, and Travelocity probably spent more time making the process as difficult as possible than it would've taken to just... call WestJet and switch it. Do NOT book with Travelocity, honestly just go directly through the airline. The airlines are much easier to deal with if anything unexpected happens regarding your trip. Cut out the middleman!

Don't count on service from them

Terrible service. Flights were cancelled due to weather but due to the incompetence of the Travelocity agents, I lost money because they didn't cancel things when requested. They made 0 effort to do their job.

Avoid avoid avoid

Avoid avoid Travelocity After reporting my complaint and my bad experience about hotel I got reply following. It’s unhelpful shameful horrible company. I will never use for hotels. I was traumatised from the hotel I booked in Milan. I reported everything to Travelocity but they didn’t show any sympathy. I will have to go through my travel insurance to get refund now. We wanted to follow up after our last conversation, where you asked us to reach out to your property to see if a refund was possible. Unfortunately, after speaking with Hotel Tiffany, they're holding to the original cancellation policy for your booking and declined your refund request. We know this is disappointing. We always try to advocate for flexibility for our travelers, but properties often have strict rules and restrictions around their bookings, and there's nothing more we can do in this case. Please reach out if you have any additional questions – we're sorry that we can't help more in this situation. Regards, Jenny E mnljenrile Travelocity Travel Team

Can I rate 0 star

Can I rate 0 star? They are equal to fraud. Imagine, I live in Australia, I browsed in Australia using my Australian internet, I booked for an accommodation in the same state but they charged me into USD. The thing is, in the whole booking process nothing that said USD including in the confirmation email. But when I had a chat with an agent she said that it stated in the receipt which she just sent during the chat. So, whole through out the booking process all I thought was an AUSD but eventually not. And the only option they can give is to cancel with no guarantee of getting a refund. After holiday, I will definitely expose the deceiving tactic they do to the people.

I would give no stars if that were an…

I would give no stars if that were an option. Our flight to Denver from Frankfurt, scheduled at 1:10 on Christmas Eve, was cancelled on 15 December. I was never notified about the cancellation. Lufthansa said, because the flight was booked thru Travelocity, I had to go thru them for a hotel voucher to stay the night for our flight scheduled for Christmas Day. I asked for proof that Travelocity emailed me regarding the cancellation and was hung up on after two hours being on hold and waiting to speak with a ticketing agent. I really only wanted them to pay for a hotel but instead Travelocity doesn’t care that people have to sleep in airport benches on Christmas Eve. I hate this company and will never, ever use them again. For the money it’s going to cost us to stay a night in Frankfurt, I could have had a ticket directly thru Lufthansa AND a hotel voucher.
