Travelocity

Reserved and paid online at Travelocity for a specific type of car (a hatchback capable of carrying an electric wheelchair - Kia Soul). Then found out that if the Soul was not available, what Travelocity claimed were “similar” alternates included VW Beetle, Nissan Versa sedan, Fiat sedan, Ford Focus sedan, and Hyundai Elantra sedan. None of which can carry a wheelchair. When I talked to a Travelocity rep about the fact that their rental car vendor couldn’t guarantee a similar vehicle to what I’d reserved, they said “sorry but it’s up to the vendor to provide whatever is available”. So in other words, Travelocity is essentially guilty of false advertising when they claim you can reserve a specific car or one “similar” to it when in reality, their vendor can provide whatever is “available” at the time you want to pick it up. And if this is not acceptable they will charge you $50 to cancel the reservation. I’m done with Travelocity. Total rip-off.

Frustrating experience. Hours of paid long distance calls to Customer (Dis)Service Dept. Complete runaround. Have to restart at zero every time. Avoid them like the plague. Date is noted as Nov. 1, but just finished today (Dec 22), after several calls, e-mails, online chats, etc.

Do not use travelocity to book a car. We booked a car in South Africa and the local rental company did not accept the insurance package travelocity had sold us. It's a total scam and you will end up paying a lot more.

Don’t use them, I never will again. Booked car hire and flights got put back 2 hours (arrival and departure). Asked them to amend booking by 2 hours. It was like taking to a brick wall. They kept referring to it as extending the hire time and it’d cost more money. It was exactly the same length of hire but just moved 2 hours. Incompetent to the point I’ve given up and will speak to the actual car company when I arrive. I won’t be using them again especially after seeing other reviews!

ms.janice brock and mr. austin have been a God-send for me.I have been at Guest Suites and Inn since November 8,2022 and still here for my husband who is in SVI waiting for double by-pass. If it hadn"t been for these two people i would be depressed til this day. They have kept me lifted up and started a prayer chain for me and my husband. I can honestly say I love them and i know they love me. I feel the love and the hugs when i need it.

Booked a room with Travelocity and even had booking protection. The room was double booked and I never stayed in the room. Travelocity charged me for the two nights and will not refund my money. DO NOT USE THEM!!

I never had problem booking hotels through Travelocity however the first and last time I booked a car rental though them! the car rental did not honor Travelocity quoted price, and they clearly told me they cannot honor that price even after I showed them the booking confirmation from Travelocity which indicated the price which included insurance and all taxes and fees. I contacted Travelocity and they didn't care, told me to deal directly with the car rental agent.

I book a package from them but it gave me an error saying that it was not processed. But when I look on my bank account the funds was taking out but I was not sent an itinerary or confirmation something they require when trying to contact them. My daughter went on their page and from a long list of complaint of people going through the exact same thing she chose an itinerary that someone posted. I was able to get a live person and was straight up lied to saying that they didn't charge my card. They will book you and then send you a email stating motel or flight have change. When you call you will be told that you will have to pay more money for the motel or fight tickets and even if it say it fully refundable they will not honor it.

Like many other people on this review page, I had a horrible experience with Travelocity. I paid for insurance with my booking and they have made it nearly impossible to get a refund for my hotel booking. My husband and I both caught the flu and had to cancel our travels. I would leave this review also on their website, but they didn't seem to want to make that convenient for people either. I would not trust their rating on there.

I booked a car rental with Travelocity for my trip to Disneyland.I noticed that the time of pick up and drop off I had put in was incorrect. I tried to change the time with no luck. I contacted Travelocity to change the times for pick up and drop off. They said they could not do that and I would need to canel the reservation and rebook. I told them their was a $50 charge to cancel any bookings. They told me that it would be waved. When I got my credit card statement they actually charge me $79 to cancel my reservation. This is a very dishonest company

A Den of thieves!!!!!! I have waited over a year for a refund on a room that booked at a hotel that was full to capacity, I called that night for information on what to do next, no one ever, got back, called back, emailed, send a review nothing!!! I finally called back cause at this point I have booked another room for an event, however because Of my already horrible experience I had to check and see whatever happen to the credit, the comp room, the refund that you guys took from me leaving me to sleep in my car in Lansing. Having to shower at my job the next morning when I paid for a whole room.... a room Imagine a doctor that couldn't get a room in a covid Era. After a long night of working was told they had no more rooms. I can't get back through the 1855 number they must've blocked the number cause now when I call there is a long pause then a message that says try again later. The founder is in TX if I need to write this company fine, but you will not do this to another person, I will mention this on every platform given, I will talk of the poor service and the fact you stole money from a health care worker out here on the front line. This situation they thought they swept under the rug will be escalated.

We purchased tickets through Travelocity along with Allianz insurance. We were scheduled to leave EWR on 3/31/22 for Las Vegas. We were at the airport for 9 hours and Spirit finally canceled the flight due to weather conditions. We had tickets for a show (the venue had no problems refunding), Spirit refunded us for the flight and advised us to go through Allianz Insurance for the hotel. Allianz wouldn't refund us for the hotel at the Hilton. Where is my money????

I agree- can I get NEGATIVE STARS⭐️ Booked a car in Tampa through Travelocity 1 month early so we would have no issues the day we left, triple checking through the guidelines(I thought haha). The day of pickup I go to JJ priceless car rental that they sent me too to deal with a Spanish young man who spoke way too fast with an accent that I could barely understand. I had to tell him to slow down at one point so I could understand him especially since we were being told extra fees needed to be added on now. We were told we had to purchase liability insurance as well after we already added disability insurance for the car the month earlier. Now being told we had to pay $250 extra with the already expected $200 security deposit with the cherry on top news of we couldn’t leave the state of Florida and if we did the car would turn off and we’d have an added fee of $1,000. Oh lord 🤦🏻‍♀️ our main reason for renting the vehicle for vacation was to get out of Florida to travel to Colorado. I double checked the guidelines for that reason exactly and the young Spanish man just says “oh no..you have to go through the big companies like enterprise if you want to travel out of state” ??? I thought using a popular website called “Travelocity “ would mean that you’d actually be able to travel?! Weird. After saying we needed to cancel it was no big deal for them it seemed and were told “ok no worries you can cancel, here’s an email with the cancellation number and the number to Travelocity,you call to deal with the refund with them”. So we are now out $450 with no vehicle for our 2 week vacation. Thanks Travelocity!

Paid for rental car at Dollar in Key West through Travelocity. There was no car at Dollar available and they could not find any reservation with the confirmation number. Travelocity would not reimburse the $508.

Absolutely horrible. Easy to book flights and that's where customer service ends. Impossible to make a change. Airlines won't talk to you if you booked through third party provider. Can't get in touch with anyone at Travelocity and its "Virtual Assistant" is always down. Worst travel company ever. Book through airlines or Amex

BUYER BEWARE.... Travelocity is now using slum lord hotels. We traveled to Seattle and was booked to stay at Ramada by Wyndham SeaTac Airport North. Let me tell you about this place 1st. Pro’s?? NONE CONS? Where do I begin? 1. Mouse crap on the bed!! 2. Smelled like urine as soon as you walked in the lobby! 3. Mouse CRAP on the bed!! 4. Bed was nasty besides the mouse CRAP sheets, pillows and bedspread had stains all over including red possibly blood stains. 5. MOUSE CRAP ON STAINED NASTY BED!! 6. The room was FILTHY floors not cleaned crumbs all over the place!! 7. MOUSE CRAP ON THE BED!! 8. The bathroom was DISGUSTING urine on the toilet seat tub was NASTY! 9. YEP you guessed it MOUSE CRAP ON THE BLOOD STAINED BED!! 10.Front desk DID NOT care!!! Refused to give us a refund we left and went to a Best Western! So I reached out to Travelocity and after approx. 15 emails back and fourth they refused us any type of refund not 1 red cent!! NOTHING! Said they had to honor the hotels no refund policy. Really? I booked through YOU!!

The worst app to make reservations, they charged my card but never paid the hotel, got to the hotel at midnight to find out u hd no Room to sleep at.

Rented a car through Travelocity with OK Mobility in Italy. Unlike other Italian rental car companies, OK Mobility insisted on an international driver's license. I didn't renew mine, so they wouldn't rent the car I had booked. Travelocity refunded only a part of the five hundred dollars I paid, even though I didn't get the car rental. Do NOT use Travelocity. They are THIEVES.

Travelocity did not refund my money ($50) for a Travelocity car insurance that was not accepted by Payless Car Insurance.
