Charged me U.S dollars without informing me before buying!…

I searched and searched for the best deal from Melbourne to London one way. For the very first time in my life I decided to go business class as it was just for me. So I finally find a deal $2800 with Thai airlines, 25 hour trip, fantastic ! I select buy the page explains what cards they accept,it's showing $2800 so boom ! I pay. For the very first time I've splurged big time on myself :) Days later I check my bank balances and $4300 has been deducted for my trip ! WT? I contact Travelocity and they tell me the payment is in USD !!!!! I said there was no indication before paying that it was USD and if there was I would not have been so stupid to pay $4300 for a one way trip ! Look I am so tight with my money,I check everything before I let my money go and so I check the asking price twice before paying ! Now I been deducted $200 USD to cancel this flight and boy am I ANGRY ! I was so excited about going to enjoy a business class flight,to be treated like a king only to be thrown back into the streets! It's just so typical in today's times, how to steal a buck off the consumer :(((

These scheisters stole 1500.00 plus USD…

These scheisters stole 1500.00 plus USD from me. I booked and paid for a round trip from Denver to Munich and back. My son had last minute travel changes and did not take the flight leg to Munich with me, but is going back with me....I told both travelocity and the airline, Lufthansa, ahead of the outgoing flight. But no matter. These folks aren’t talking to each other. One tells me contact the other. My son and I? No return trip for him, no refund, no credit. This should be illegal. Period.

Refuses to cancel and refund fully refundable flight.

I booked a flight with United Airlines through Travelocity. I paid about $100 extra for my ticket for it to be fully refundable if I needed to cancel the flight. Well, a few weeks after I booked the flight, I indeed needed to cancel it. On the confirmation email sent from Travelocity for the flight, there is a link to cancel or change the flight if need be. I clicked on the link and it sent me to a virtual agent that could help me. After choosing the flight to cancel, the virtual agent said it would try to see what it could do. The three little dots indicating that it was sending a message was up for hours after that. I finally asked it to contact an agent. I was in contact with someone named Jenny (though Jenny still messaged like a bot, so I’m not sure if it was a real person). After the (probably automated) message of Jenny saying she would read through my messages with the virtual agent to get caught up on the situation, she just said “Hi.” Not, “Hi, how may I help you,” but “Hi.” I then proceeded to say I wanted to cancel my flight and provided all the necessary information for Jenny to look up my flight and how to cancel it. Jenny then proceeded to tell me that I could not cancel my ticket and it was nonrefundable. I then provided text straight from the confirmation email where it said that my ticket included cancellation. After rechecking, Jenny still insisted that I could not cancel and could not get my money back. She offered me airline credit that is good for 12 months but could not see that I could cancel my ticket and it was in fact fully refundable. I went to the United Airlines website and was able to cancel my flight in a few short minutes and got the notice that I would get a full refund within a week. So, to offer some advice, DO NOT book with Travelocity. If you have booked with Travelocity and need to cancel or change your flight, do so on the airline website, not through Travelocity. p.s. I have the confirmation email from Travelocity and screenshots of the conversation with Jenny for evidence.

Hotel would not hold room

Booked trip to Nassua Bahamas to stay at Riu Palace resort. had to cancel at last minute due to flight cancelations. While the Travelocity agent was very helpful because I needed to arrive a day later than original reservation date the hotel would not allow me to change reservation to the next das stating to agent that there were no rooms. If i was going to be staying in room for 5 nights how could there be no room? i guess this isn't a complaint with Travelocity but one would think they would have been able to work with Riu for a better result. no com[plaints about the agent on phone very professional. Just crazy.

Unexpected Charges Be Careful

I booked 3 return flights from Brisbane to Fiji/Nadi. I paid there and back in 2 different transactions with my credit card (June 21st 2023) after returning from Fiji I noticed through my bank account that Travelocity made 6 different transactions payments to my credit card which accumulated 6 extra international transfer charges which is absolutely ridiculous. You can’t ever get through to the company, utilise another 3rd party. What was supposed to be approximately $2700 return flights ended up costing just under $4000 with bank charges and international transfer fees. Travelocity should have charged me in full with one transaction for the flights rather than 6 transactions. Unbelievable!

Didn't tell the motel I canceled my reservation

I booked two rooms at the Glendale Motel in Seaside, NJ in early June. On June 17th, I canceled both bookings through Travelocity. I received a confirmation email that the rooms had been canceled. I was notified that I should receive a refund from the motel in 5-7 days. On July 5th, I had still not received my refund, so I called the motel directly. They informed me that Travelocity had never contacted them in any way to inform them that the rooms were canceled. For all the motel knew, I was still coming. I called Travelocity, and no one could explain to me why the Motel did not know my bookings had been canceled.

I booked a van through Travelocity on…

I booked a van through Travelocity on feb 26th for July 1st . Got a good rate because we booked it early... the car rental was for Alamo . I called them today to ask a question and they said that our booking was canceled and that I needed to call Travelocity about it… I was on the phone with them for over two hours . They said that they never got a cancellation from Alamo and I did not cancel my reservation... so I had to rent two cars to accommodate us resulting in double the cost. I will never use there service again

Don’t waste your money

If you have to cancel due to an emergency, they simply keep your money and sell your seat again. They get paid no matter what happens to you. Lowlife scam.

Do not trust the system

I tried to book a bundle / package and there system charged my card 4 times and the airlines charges are separate so now I have no available credit on the card to book the trip they refused to take payment from two credit cards to be able to book the tried to give me a 75.00 credit but can't use it on a bundle package which is useless credit me some points on Expedia which are useless as that is their parent company. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days to have the pending charges drop off for available credit to use. Just unbelievable for this to happen in this day and age the worst ever . I want to upload a picture of the pending charges but this review board does not accept pictures just disappointing and now have to try to find the same booking elsewhere waste of time energy effort and ridiculous business practices. Should be shut down no options to pay with a trip with two credit cards how ridiculous and there system locked out my credit just awful

Doesn't back up it's policy.

Doesn't back up it's policy. I booked a townhome through Travelocity, which they booked it through 2 other booking company's. I bought insurance to get a refund in case of something going wrong. Well, it did and I tried to file a claim and Travelocity says it's not their problem and it's the other company's problem. contact the other company and they say it's the other company's problem. so no refund. Will never use Travelocity, VRBO and SODA LLC ever again. I suggest you don't either.

SCAM when changing flights.

Needed to change a flight. Website said $57 for the change. I was fine with that. After checking out, I was told there was an error and to call. The error screen even said "there is an error on our end" then provided a phone number... which told me to use chat for faster service... which then required me to pay MORE than original... SCAM! Ultimately over $100 more because of this "error".

Do not use Travelocity if you are using VRBO. We made reservations in January for 3 couples for a Canada trip for the Calgary Stampede in July. Our reservations were canceled in June. Their reason was overbooking. It was hard to find something reasonable so close to our arrival date. We reserved another place on VRBO and again was canceled for overbooking. I do not recommend using Travelocity. After reading all of these bad reviews I wish I had read them before using them.

Travelocity is a rip-off

Travelocity is a rip-off. Don't use this company. My flight was cancelled when Covid started. They never refund me. I lost the money and either them or the airlines involved want to know anything about it. I tried to fight it through the credit card company and they can't do anything, because the debtos, creditor and supplier link has been broken. From now on I'll buy directly from an airline. Definitely not British Airways or American Airlines either.

They continue to want money for a change I made for travel and paid for. I have a dispute with them through my credit card for over a year and they refuse. They DO NOT have a phone # to contact someone in person. I tried via messaging and that didn't solve the issue. I will never use them again, nor refer them.

Good experience with Travelocity

My experiences with Travelocity have been good! Website is easy to navigate. Prices are competitive. On the several occasions I needed international customer service, the (USA 855#) phone number was answered quickly even at odd hours, and the representative was able to assist, including with refunds when appropriate.

No policy for pandemic.

My flight was canceled due to the pandemic and I was told that I have my tickets being held as "credit" but the itinerary had to be the same when travel opened. So travel opened to the country of travel a few months ago and I contacted them to see what my options are. And there are none. No refund. No credit. They asked me to contact the airline, because they don't have a policy for pandemic credit situations and the airline doesn't have any jurisdiction over the travel agency's doing. I received no notice of the possible expiration of the credit and the agent I contacted didn't seem to care that there was ZERO option of tourist travel until a few months ago. Definitely won't be using them ever again.
