Update: Policy Was Paid in Full — Still No Refund. More Conflicting Information.
This is an updated review with additional information regarding my experience with Steadily and their ongoing failure to return funds for a policy that was confirmed paid in full.
Despite repeated communication and a direct email from their own team (see below) confirming that my policy was in good standing, I have still not received my refund. The refund has been “in progress” with a cancelled policy since March, and it’s now August, still with no resolution.
For context, here’s what I was told in writing by Sydney Posey at Steadily:
“Now that Steadily has received the funds from RT, our Accounting Team processed a payment through Ascend, which will pay the finance company back first, and then it will refund you the portion paid of the down payment.
In conclusion, the policy is paid in full and in good standing as well as the Ascend Program.”
If the policy was paid in full and in good standing, why was it canceled without proper notice to me or my mortgage company? Why was I told in multiple emails that everything was fine, only to find out later that my property had been uninsured?
And now, months later, why is my refund still not processed?
This level of miscommunication, shifting explanations, and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable especially for an insurance provider. I’ve provided proof, receipts, and email history. The issue is not confusion, it’s carelessness.
If you value transparency and timely financial handling, I urge you to think twice before working with Steadily.
All of these reviews of sudden cancellation and no refund are real!
