Bad Experience with This In-House Steadily Agent
I purchased a landlord policy from a Steadily in-house agent, Cesar Tamaura, a few months ago. Recently, I received a notice from my mortgage company stating that my previous insurance had expired and that they had not received any updated insurance information. I forwarded the notice to Cesar, and instead of logging into the agent portal with my loan number, he spent all day going back and forth with issues like not having my SSN to access my member portal and claiming that Steadily is a proptech company that doesn't use fax or make calls (he called me without hesitation when he was trying to make a sale) so he could redirect the issue back to me and ask me to handle it myself. In the end, I had to spend an hour of my work morning getting help from their support team, and the agent was able to upload the update to the agent portal in less than two minutes. As a homeowner and landlord for the past 14 years, I have worked with numerous agents from different insurance companies. Each time I switched to a different insurance provider, I received notices like this. However, this is the first instance where I could not resolve this issue through my agent and had to invest my own time to address it. Shifting the responsibility back to me by citing these issues indicates a lack of accountability from the agent. I find this approach to be highly unprofessional, as it undermines the fundamental purpose of having an agent. I believe that a competent agent should possess basic troubleshooting abilities and effective cross-functional communication skills that allow them to address issues more productively, rather than redirecting those issues back to the customer. I would not recommend this agent to anyone.
