Finally keeping 100% of my delivery fees
Been driving for three other apps for years and always watched a chunk of my delivery fee disappear into platform cuts. Ryde flips that completely — by default I keep the entire delivery fee, full stop. Did a courier block last Tuesday running packages from a print shop in Midtown to offices in the Financial District, and the distance-based fee on a 4.2-mile run was genuinely fair. The two-code handoff — scanning a pickup code at the sender and a destination code at the drop — keeps everything clean and dispute-proof, which I appreciate more than I expected. My only gripe is that delivery density in my outer-borough zones is still thin on weekday mornings, so I sometimes deadhead back to a busier area. Overall, first week netted me about $340 in delivery fees alone, and I didn't share a dollar of that with the platform.
