Solid for bookings but the learning curve is real
Picked up babysitting gigs through Ryde after a friend recommended it. The background vetting process was thorough — took about four days — but once I was cleared, families booked me almost immediately because they could see the verified badge right on my profile. The job-start code handoff at the door is quick and the e-signed record with a completion photo gives parents peace of mind when they come home. Honestly the app took me a solid week to figure out; the agentic AI assistant kept asking me to explicitly confirm things I thought I'd already confirmed, which felt repetitive until I realized it was preventing accidental double-accepts. One-wallet setup is convenient since I already use Ryde for my own grocery delivery. Rating it a 3 mostly because my suburb only shows red or yellow slots on the map before 10 AM — availability looks thin to clients even on mornings I'm free — and I'd love a way to manually push my status to green without waiting for the system to catch up.
