I actually give ZERO stars!!!

I actually give ZERO stars!!! I placed an order they cancelled because their stock was out although they took my payment of $170 and then told me they had voided it . Told me that my money would be refunded in 3-5 business days and was not. Then told me to contact my bank to release hold in which there was no hold because it had been withdrawn by them. The funds are still not in my account after contacting customer service 6 times. My bank is now doing an investigation to retrieve my money. RIDICULOUS!!!! Very disappointed in their incompetency

WORST customer service ever.

Michaels.com customer "care" process is the absolute worst experience I've had on a website. First off, it's like a maze trying to get to a chat window. Once you find it, it's a bot with automated answers. The bot didn't have any answers for me so I then found the "speak with someone" button after getting the runaround with the bot. I get connected with a real person, and they ask for a lot of personal information from me first. Then after a bit of a wait, he says he cannot answer my question and I will be transferred to "tier 2" employees. Then after that he says tier 2 are all unavailable, and they will email me as soon as they can, then he ends the chat before I can say a word. UNBELIEVEABLE.

Buyer beware...

Customer beware of hidden fees not disclosed at time of purchase. If you live in Alaska you are charged outrageous shipping when there is NO SHIPPING INCREASE required by the USPS as we are the NATIONAL Headquarters for the USPS. So tired of a company capitalizing on a fallacy that it costs more to ship to Alaska. BS! Send it parcel post it will cost about $1.95 yet Michaels bait-n-switch charges you $21.00 for the same item. FRUAD. One letter 13 inches long X 1/8 inch cost over $21.00 to ship? Not only did they want to charge me that because their managers in Alaska do not keep up with inventory -- I purchased all the letters I needed OVER $240 worth and Michaels fraudulently says "spend over $58+ and shipping is FREE Bull Sh**. Buyer beware.

Received damaged product

Received damaged product. Took over 1 1/2 hours on chat and asking for a manager to help. Issue still not resolved. They are expecting me to go to the store or Ups to return and then when they process it I will get my replacement. Seems ridiculous when you spend $70 on a storage container you need now. The customer service team also gave information that didn’t match. I got cut off from the first girl. Horrible customer service and will send my business to Hobby Lobby now. Extremely disappointed!

So helpful!

I have only good things to say about my Michael's experience when shopping. Yesterday Kelsey at the Latham, NY store took the time to walk me through the online rewards sign up and explained the system more thoroughly than I had understood it. I find the staff to be courteous and if they can't answer a question about a product they get someone else who can. No one is a pro at all arts and crafts. I do wish rewards were based on ALL purchases and not just those featured in a given week. But at least they have some. As other comments have mentioned, upgrading amd simplifyibg3 the computer system would be helpful. Happy New Year

Rebecca Rocks!

I just had the nicest, most helpful checkout person I have ever experienced. Her name was Rebecca from Rochester, MN. She was very pleasant and went the extra mile to make sure we got all of our order and on sale! If tghere were 10 stars I'd give her 11! Michael's is my 1st choice for carding…

Michael's is my 1st choice for carding supplies. I only wish coupons were offered again on the Michael's app as they were before. Joanns Fabrics and Crafts, and Hobby Lobby have continued to offer their coupon discounts this whole year.

Sent wrong item in mail

I purchased replacement Christmas bulbs. This item has four (4) different styles included and was called Assorted Mr. Christmas® Replacement Bulb Set Item Number: 10644124. What I received was one (1) of the four styles. There was nothing that stated I would receive only one of what I purchased as a package. The person on the phone kept trying to tell me that because it says "assorted", they get to pick which one I receive. But there was nothing there that said I get only one type, and not even one of my own choice! I told her "no, it's assorted because there is an assortment of four different types.)" PLUS they charged me shipping, of course. They are refunding my money, but not for the shipping. It's their fault. I will never buy another item from Michaels. They ought to be ashamed.

Great items, antiquated system…

Although I’m satisfied with my recent purchases, I wish Michael’s would just load coupons, etc directly to my card. I HATE standing at the register with customers behind me, searching for emails offering additional discounts, going through step after step every time I get a discount. It’s almost 2021, get with the program. Your system is antiquated!

Shady Dealings

I order 4 items that were in stock. 5 days later they shipped 1 item and cancelled the rest. I was buying 4 items to make the $6.95 shipping better per item. On chat I told them I didn't want the item they shipped, because with the item and the shipping it would be too much. They said I could refuse the package and they would refund for the item, but since it was already shipped I would still have to pay shipping, even though it wasn't my fault. I will never deal with Michaels again, there are better and honest stores.

Had such a bad experience

Had such a horrible experience, they didnt have an item in stock. I tried to adjust my same day delivery and they would do nothing about adding the new order. And said they can't even cancel existing order to adjust. Did not try to even solve my issue. So annoyed that they expect me to pay extra for delivery for the replacement even though it was an item they didn't have in stock but according to the website i would get it.

Wonderful staff, great prices on what we needed!

We had been searching everywhere for regular Christmas tree lights (not fairy lights) and we were running out of places to look, so we thought maybe we would try Michael's. One of the staff was very friendly and helped us find the lights amidst the huge amount of holiday stuff, and they actually had a decent amount left in stock (everywhere else we had been had none). The workers at the registers were quick and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the price was HALF what every other company was charging. It was an excellent experience and we were so grateful! The store that helped so much was: 10221 Westport Rd, Springhurst Commons, Louisville, KY 40241

I ordered one of your gingerbread…

I ordered one of your gingerbread wreaths and fell apart. Didn't even have it a month. Such a shame seeing how you are a Craft Store. The gingerbread man himself tell apart like they glued his head on.Very Disappointed

The best costumer service ❤️

Hello! Well I had to do this survey some couple of days ago but I just want to mentioned Miss Dayana from the second floor of the Michaels on Alton Road. She was AWESOME! It was my first time on Michael’s and she helped me a lot also she was caring so much about my needs and question! I went another day for return some things and the staff was not the same. She is unique. A lot of people have to lear how costumer service and empathy works and Dayana for sure did it! Please give her a best recognition for this. Thank you so much Dayana! Follow your dreams and never give up!

I purchased a cookie press online for…

I purchased a cookie press online for store pickup. After I got it home, I was disappointed in its mechanism. It falls apart during use. Also when I was going to wash it for my first use, I found cookie dough caked on it in a couple of places. That means it was returned used and not properly cleaned. Also not inspected when returned by previous purchaser.

If I could give them no stars I would

If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible customer service. Ordered an item in November for Christmas. Check tracking a few days after I get notified it has shipped and it says it is waiting to arrive at the shippers facility. Check back a couple days later, same thing. Call Michael’s they tell me don’t worry it has shipped and will arrive between 12/16 and 12/17. Call Michael’s again on 12/19 and they tell me it didn’t ship and they would have to redo the order with no possible way to get it to me by Christmas. The refund is going to take 3-5 days so I can’t even go purchase a new one elsewhere because they have my money. Will NEVER shop at Michael’s again. I will pay more to buy the same stuff somewhere else.
