Yesterday I had a wonderful time at the Michaels store #3989 in Milton. When I walked in all the beautiful displays of spring warmed my heart! Michaels Stores are great fun

Michaels Stores are great fun. It’s always fun to brose the isles and see the fun craft items. One draw back is they are often out of items or have very low stock. I’m not as happy with the new look for 2021 with more ready-made decoration/household items and less actual craft items. They should leave that to their competitors and stick to actual craft supplies.

I was in the store last week to…

I was in the store last week to purchase craft paper. There was two cashiers open and a lineup of 6 or 7 people the line went fairly quickly. I have a very bad knee so it’s hard to stand in line too long. When I got to my cashier her name was Chriss she was very friendly, and helpful. She suggested that if I was happy with her help I might want to comment on line. I tried too but couldn’t find the place so I’m happy you sent me a survey so I could compliment her! Although I didn’t find everything I wanted I enjoy shopping at Michael’s and do frequently. This is the Coquitlam BC store at Lougheed and Westwood

This is for the Canada stores.

This is for the Canada stores. Get TAP on your payment system, or MICHAEL’S will be responsible for passing along germs INCLUDING the world pandemic of COVID-19. I would NOT recommend shopping in the store until they get contactless payment as an option. The staff can only do so much with the spray and paper wipes they’re given to “disinfect”. As far as I’m told, this is the Michael’s head office decision. So disappointed in this multi million dollar company, going cheap on something so important during a pandemic. Please get tap on your debit/credit machines!

Can’t I give negative stars here?

Can’t I give negative stars here? Michaels do not use. The misrepresent their products. I ordered 8 skeins of yarn $10 each for a blanket for my soon to be born nephew. I normally start pulling it out to make into a yarn ball and then all of a sudden it ended and I was only through maybe 1/8th of the yarn. Online they listed as ONE not 8 different to piece together into one. So now I have 8 different yarn skeins with 8 in each yarn so now I have to add yarn 32 times!!!!! I contacted them about it and they said I either have to go to store or drop to ups to return but I cannot return any I started balling up even those it wasn’t used on anything. So now I’m out $80 which could’ve been a full months electric bill during Covid and I’m pretty upset. I get just as good and just as soft yarn on Amazon or Walmart now and they are much much better with customer service so I REFUSE to ever purchase a thing with Michaels behind it

I visited your store as a first time…

I visited your store as a first time time customer. I was very impressed by the associate that assisted me today. Not only was she professional throughout the entire experience, she went above and beyond in helping me select a picture frame for my fiancé diploma. Patient and kind are just too simple of words to describe Sydney. She is the perfect employee anyone could ever ask to represent them on the front lines. Thank you Sydney for your help today. Because of you I’m forever a loyal customer. And thank you very much mentioning your new fabric department. I’ll be bringing mom over for sure!! I can’t wait to visit again, it was a wonderful experience because of you she the associate the assisted me at the register. Refused to take my custom framing order.

I took a sign into the Northgate Store in Chattanooga to have custom framing. Stood at least 5 minutes at the desk waiting on someone to help me. I could clearly see two ladies standing in the back talking and not paying attention to any customers. When I was finally able to get their attention to help me, she basically refused to sell me custom framing. I explained to her what I wanted and why it would need to be custom framing. She questioned my budget and told me to take one of the pre-made plastic frames that were on sale. That it would work and it was cheaper. As I suspected what she sold me did not work and I had to return it. Two wasted trips. I took my custom framing order the Hobby Lobby! Obviously Michael's Northgate did not want my business.

SEBRING Michaels Store Rocks!!

I met with the Night Manager Valeria for some framing work; she was amazing. I walked in the store an hour or so before closing knowing there probably was no on in the Framing Dept but asked at the cashier desk anyway. The young lady said they had all left but she would get someone to help me and she got me the Manager. The Manager knew her framing and was so patient and helpful, she made it really fun. Her walkie talkie kept going off and she stayed with us anyway, and advised the other staff members she would be with them as soon as she could. I spent a lot of money (over $500) that night and was happy to do so as I left feeling confident my frame work would be beautiful. I drove an hour to get to THAT Michaels and will do it again. Thank you!!

More Covid caution needed

My experience at Michael’s has always been great. BUT when I visited this weekend, I was very disappointed that there was not better protocol / making shoppers wear masks. There was a guy w NO mask, talking on his phone and walking all around the store - couldn’t miss him. He was loud. I would prefer a Michael’s take on the situation like Target and Food Lion do - they hv a greeter at 1 door requiring masks before entrance.

Michaels online states over $59 over…

Michaels online states over $59 over free shipping !!! That's bull crap . My order was $107 when I contacted them they said I'd get a email in 24 hours. More BULL i got the email it says you have to value packs. Totalling $21.90 still leaves $87 can they count .that's ok hobby lobby and Blick will get my business for now on !!!!!

Purchased two items online for a total…

Purchased two items online for a total of $31.29, still haven't received, yet, I have two charges in my bank account, one for $31.29 and one for $4.34. I called to let them know of the erroneous charge and they informed me that it was fine, it is for one of the items that has shipped and the other is a hold, it will correct itself. So let me say this - if I purchased two items totaling $200.00 each $100.00 dollars and one shipped and the other did not, my account would be held up for $300.00 dollars, and since I keep very little in my account, all of my other charges that I believe covered are not, because Michaels is holding my account hostage, I would not be able to use the funds until my entire order has shipped and my account corrects itself, mean while I get NSF fees if not paying attention, which is what would have happened because I keep very little in my accounts. This time it was only for $4.34 but the NSF fee is $36.00. Bad practices I am going to report to the bank and I advise if you do need to purchase online from this company use a credit card and hope you are not charged for overages if you are almost at your max until it corrects itself. Unacceptable - sounds like they have an accounting practice making them look like they have more accounts receivables than they actually do. -te

Online shopping with Michael's is a nightmare.

I love Michael's stores. I'm a member and and artist but the online shopping experience is a nightmare. It's really a shame! I've attempted to place online orders about 7 times and each time it is a nightmare. Something ALWAYS goes wrong. After spending another 3 hours trying to work out a problem with customer service this afternoon, I will never attempt to use their online store again. Customer service has attitude each time I've tried to contact them (which is necessary every time because something always goes wrong). They are able to find the order and cancel it but, nothing beyond that. Really not very helpful at all. Looks like Blick will be getting my business for art supplies from here on out. Much better customer service.

Michaels must like losing business

Wow, you would think that Michaels wouldn't be turning business away during these Covid times! I wanted to buy 2 gift cards and they have no way that this can be done, even though they offer curbside pickup. I have had to use curbside often in the last few months and every one of these stores have someone at the front able to pick something up for you in the store, with a debit machine set up to pay for it. But apparently not Michaels. Nothing on line either where a gift card can be ordered. My local Michaels have just lost a 200.00 sale. I guess I will now have to go to Walmart - who I am trying to avoid but they are the only other store that will carry crafts, art supplies, yarn etc. I was also told by person at Michaels head office, that hamilton is not on the list to open next week, even though the provincial announcement said retail stores will be able to reopen on Feb.16, with capacity guidelines in place.... all stores except Michael's of course. Nice customer service Michaels.

Michaels cancelled order with half of the order shipped out

Ordered clay and was a short amount from getting free shipping. I ordered 2 bags of beads just to get the shipping free. (basically paid for the beads) I did not want the beads, I only wanted the clay, but it covered the shipping. Four days later, I contact them on chat to ask why it's still processing. They said it takes 2 business days. I said fine, I hope it gets sent out tomorrow. I can't cancel, because the beads were already sent out, and I didn't want to pay for just the beads. The next day, they sent me an email saying they cancelled my order at my request. I wrote back and told them that I DID NOT CANCEL my order, In fact, I said the EXACT opposite in the chat! They did not write back. Today, I tried chat, and the wait was too long, I had to call them, and they told me they cancelled the clay because it was out of stock. I told them my situation, and to refund me for the beads, I will write return to sender on the package and send them back. They said no, to wait for them to get here and return them to the store. I told them Michaels is an hour away and my car uses 93 octane, I'm not going to spend 20$ in gas to return 12$ of beads. They said I have to wait for them to get here, call them back when they arrive and get a return label issued and drop it off at a UPS location. I said fine, can you at least issue a gift card in the amount of the beads for the trouble they have caused. (1 week later, I have no clay, and now I have to order from someone else, etc. etc.) They said no. Well, I'm shopping at Hobby Lobby from now on, It's a lot closer, and they have much better customer service.

I am a business owner and have used…

I am a business owner and have used Michael's products for years. In the last year every order I have place online either came damaged, not the right quantity or in the last case was sent the wrong product twice waited a month to receive and they had the nerve to make return it again to the UPS store just to get my money back. I normally spend around 10,000 dollars a year at Michaels. They have officially lost my business for good. On the other hand Hobby Lobby has been fantastic I suggest staying away from Michaels unless you want to be disappointed and have angry customers left hanging.
