I just took the survey that Michaels…

I just took the survey that Michaels sent to me and I answered it truthfully. What it did not included was the question "was there anything that was not done to make my visit better?" I was not told that there were coupons available to lower the cost of my picture frames. I purchased 4 frames for over $900.00. I was made to understand that this was a discounted price but a couple of coupons would have helped a bit more. Thank you.

I will never order online again from Michaels

I will never order online again from Michaels, it took over 2 weeks to get my order, which was wrong order when I rec'd it. I was told to return it and they would send correct order. 3 weeks later still no order or refund. Upon contacting them I was transferred twice and on the phone for far to long. I was told my return order was rec'd 2 days after I called them on Jan 15....so how come my return shipped so quickly, how come the correct order was then not shipped to me as was told it would be which was confirmed in a written email on Jan 15.......they had no answers for me. I am now having to wait for them to ship again, and again they can't tell me how long I'll have to wait......I will never order online again, only did it because we in Ontario were in lockdown and all stores closed. I'll stick to Amazon for online orders........its been 6 weeks from the start of this order. NOT HAPPY

False advertising

I ordered 16 small frames for $105 and Michaels advertised as “free shipping over $59”. When the order was on its way Michaels charged my credit card $45 for shipping. Be aware of Michaels dishonest practices.

Awful packaging.

I had ordered a package that arrived early, but the packaging.. I'm severely disappointed. Whoever packaged my order, they didn't seal it all the way, to the point anyone could've opened it and stolen my product I ordered, and I am questioning how they even got away with that kind of awful packaging. Deal breaker. This is the first time I've ever been disappointed with Michael's. Guess I will have to go in stores now and hope they even have what I like at my local Michael's.

Michaels is the worst craft store

Michaels is the worst craft store. The lines are long and slow. They have a small selection of yarn. Red heart yarn is almost nothing. Their shelves are empty. They get a delivery once a week. They dont carry that many Wilton items anymore. They dont carry plastic canvas either. On their website they sell it, with no description of what you are ordering. I want to go to the store and buy it right there. Not have to pay for shipping and wait days and days. I really thought when we lost Ac Moore Michaels would pick up where Ac Moore left off. How sad. Ac Moore was smaller but had so much more. I could find alot more there. Michaels is a true disappointment. They really need to keep up with the times..

Our family would like to personally thank Mahmoud & Kelly. Mahmoud works in Michaels' Gainesville, VA customer framing section. He has done outstanding work for our family on numerous occasions. We wanted to let Mahmoud and Kelly know that we appreciate their talents and technical framing abilities. This staff is very professional and caring. Mahmoud's last piece of work for us offered our family emotional strength in these trying times. Job well done!

Useless Online Customer Service

For such a large chain they are really behind. In-store staff are not given the ability to do ANYTHING with online orders and that is our only option right now! Everything done online must be corrected online but they will just tell you to go in-store even after telling them that WE CAN'T because we are on a lockdown order. Staff are consistently given the wrong information by their head office. In-store staff are great and try their best with the tools and information given to them. I've just noticed that the information given to staff about the online process (across multiple locations) is just not true. Online customer service is basically useless. Copy and paste info from the website without actually listening to you.

Thanks to end result

Staff are very friendly at the Leduc location. Had one staff who was willing to help with placing in matting for a frame that we purchased. When we came in to pick it up we were very disappointed with work preformed. They must have rushed to get it done. And it look really bad. But Tammy, who I believe was the manager came through for us. she told us to leave the item that was not done properly and had it fixed by the next morning. The person who did it the 1st time came back in and redid it. Really appreciated with the end result but really wish it would have been done correct the 1st time. But I guess we are all human.

Do not do curbside pickup

Do not do curbside pickup. If you do, check your orders because if not it's a total waste of time. I ordered five shirts to tie dye and of course I get home and they gave the wrong sizes. So I called them to see if they could just exchange the size out to my car real quick because I have three kids which is why I did curbside and the first place and they couldn't help me. They said I had to come in. This was at the one in Commerce, MI.

I never usually complain about anything but I ordered 4 small things of vinyl for curbside pickup, the woman came to the vehicle and I pointed her to go over to the drivers side where she threw the vinyl at my significant other, said thank you really rudely and walked away. Didn't stop walking at all. This was at the Norman, Oklahoma Michaels.

Bait and Switch?

I had ordered a document frame at a cost 0f $27.49. The order was accepted and processed and awaiting shipment. I received an email that the order had been canceled with no specific reason why. I found out why when I looked up the item. They had raised the price to $54.99. They offered a price. I accepted the price and then they reneged. Classic bait and switch.

Would rate -10 stars if allowed to. I received a gift card and made 2 orders. The second was 3.73 short soni added my cc info. Guess what not only did they use all of my 100.00 gift card but put fraudulent charges 46in change, 30 something and 12.90. totalling 100 bucks. So I called chatted and fb messenger to get this resolved. Nothing has been done about my refund. Michaels used to be a good place to shop. I basically live in that store, but with covid I been choosing to shop online. Well let me tell you if you want to double pay then use them online. If you don't go to hobby lobby or what have you. I spent 5 hrs this WK to their customer reps and each one is stupider than the next. I asked several times to speak to a supervisor and they never put one on. I even wrote a letter to the company. It's been 6 days today when previously I was told it will be settled in 2 days. Which was a big fat lie. They charged my card a 3rd time. It's simple math.. if my 2 orders cost 104.00 total then how can u take 100. Off a gift card and another 100.00 on a cc. I will never shop michaels again. The store is a mess with hardly any product, dirty as well. This co is going downhill. I am still arguing with them for their multiple mistakes.. now told another 5 days. Total bs! Takes one day to issue a refund. My advise to michaels corp. Hire ppl that have brain cells and can do math. You just lost a good customer!

Low Quality Expensive Frames

I have been buying art frames on sale at my local Michael's to avoid paying the extremely high pricing of custom framing. Lately, I have been very irritated at the quality and the packaging. Most of the frames come with very hard to remove staples and cardboard. It takes me an hour to remove this. I have decided to buy much better quality frames on Jerry's Artarama website. The frames are beautiful and they come in a box with no staples and cardboard to remove. It is worth it to pay a little more for better frames and to save your sanity.

Stay away from Smithfield RI Store

Today 1-28-21 I went on the Michael's web sight to see if you sold "Fur Pompons",you did. I check my local store, Smithfield RI, which confirmed that you did have them. I called the store at 9:30 am, to reconfirm, the girl that stated she was the supervisor advised that Yes you had them. I went into the store, could not find them the girl at the register could not leave the register long and could only find the Cotton ones. She then called a Very RUDE, girl "Jill" she just walked away from me, did not say a word, I followed. She talked into her mic, I did not hear, I explained again that I called etc. She said the Supervisor never spoke to me, and "seeing that I was OLD, I must have misunderstood!"I asked her name, she told me "Jill" told her that her customer service was terrible and was going to report her, she laughed,and said "Go Ahead" . I will never return, and will tell everyone that I know this story!

Can't order online

I purchased in store when on vacation in the US and the experience was good. I returned home and after some time decided to order again via their website. Lo and behold they only accept US and Canadian orders online. As if the rest of the world hates art and crafts O.O Anywho, don't waste your time if you don't have a US or Canadian address.
