POOR WEBSITE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I made an order for same day delivery. I then realized that I needed to add an item. Couldn't do it. Couldn't add to the order, couldn't cancel the order, no one to answer the phones, no voice mail, no email, and order confirmations are 'no reply' mail. Therefore I paid TWICE the delivery charge. Michaels was difficult, not even remotely helpful. I ended up eating the $10 because of the run around and LACK OF BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Curbside cancellation require in store visit....

Did a curbside pickup order yesterday, went to wrong store (my mistake). After 15 minutes, I got an email stating order had been picked up or cancelled. Went inside, discovered the mistake. The order had been cancelled BUT if I want a refund (for the online, curbside pickup order), I have to go to the correct store and show them my credit card. The whole point of this was to be contactless! Will just dispute the cc charge, but this is ridiculous!

Lori at the North Aurora IL store was really helpful. She found my items for me and directed me to the newly-created cashier entrance. It was pouring rain, so she found a huge plastic bag to put over the large items in my cart

Online ordering horrible

Ordered item, sat for 10 days never picked up by ups. Called said it was lost and still waiting for item to ship. Want to cancel but 7-10 days for refund. It took 30 seconds for it to be taken from my account. Will never order from them again

I ordered a 6ft tree

I ordered a 6ft tree. The box has a picture of a full tree. The actual tree in the box looks like a skeleton. I was so disappointed It is totally nothing like the picture on the box. I wanted to cry.

Ordered a pencil Christmas tree online on sale. Michaels cancelled it on me. The very next day I saw the exact same tree in their ad still on sale. Very disappointed. Will not order from them any more.

I ordered an online pick up 20 miles…

I ordered an online pick up 20 miles from my normal Michaels because mine didn’t have it in stock. So I got my confirmation of “ready for pickup” and when I got there I was told my order had been cancelled because there was nothing in stock. I was very upset because I got no warning of the cancelation through email until AFTER I had already gone to try and pick up. NEVER GOING TO THIS MICHAELS AGAIN. PEMBROKE PINES. Never had an issue like this at West Kendall.

FYI...not all stores have the same…

FYI...not all stores have the same items on clearance. I found this out the hard way by driving from one store to another store. The manager refused to honor the clearance that the other store had. Aside from her, all the other employees were fantastic. I was asked several times if I needed help.

Curbside Surprise

I am disappointed with my Michael's communication. I ordered an item for curbside pickup to avoid going into the store due to the pandemic. Surprise, surprise, I had to go into my store because they did not tell me in my confirmation email that curbside had ended at 6pm. Not confident this reflects the entire company, but I will definitely choose a different location if I order again.

Absolutely the worst experience I have…

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any customer service. I ordered a Christmas tree for my 90 year old mother and was told it should be 7-10 days for delivery. After 10 days, I called and was told the tree was in the warehouse waiting to be picked up by UPS. She assured me they had a tree. When it appeared that there had been no progress, I called again after a few days to be put on hold for 55 minutes and then, once again assured the tree was available and should be shipped and they would contact me the next day. When that did not happen I called again. Only on hold for 27 minutes this time. They said they would check again and let me know. The next day, I received an email saying tree was no longer available!! Never again!!!!!

Had a unique canvas stretched & framed

Had a unique canvas stretched & framed. Poor quality on framing..pattern on corners do not match..frame was cut as if they were running out of stock..Canvas was damaged & poorly stretched..Staff said they would file an insurance claim IF we could prove. A professional job was promised but not delivered..The end results upset my wife. Paid over $200 for this. will not use again!!

I went to michaels on Fairway rd in Kitchener and was looking for Christmas stencils. one lady told me they were out of stock and apologized for that. I flagged another girl down and asked her to help me out to find something that resembled Christmas and she went over to the stencils and searched through all of them until she found me a stencil with Christmas pictures on them. I thought she was so thoughtful by doing that for me and it would be great if everyone would help like that. Fyi Micheals you need to order more stock at Christmas 😊👍 Thnx Jules

BUY INSTORE NOT ONLINE

You get better deals instore. I own a small business where I knit and crochet so I buy alot alot alot of yarn. Buy instore, you can stack coupons and the new rewards program is amazing

Great experience

After returning a pencil tree to Michaels because it didnt look like the online pic, I discovered it was sold out when the manager said they had plenty. I made my way back to look at all the Christmas items and purchased a few. Tiara greeted me at the check out and actually cheered me up. She was the happiest, most pleasant person and made me want to come back. Tiara is a employee that gives Michaels a good name. Thank you Tiara!

Terrible terrible customer service

Terrible terrible customer service. Do not buy online if you can help it - unless you want to risk being frustrated for a good few days, escalating it multiple times, before magically they admit to any fault. Sort it out, Michaels!

Horrible treatment of art supplies, overpriced for empty and worn out markers

I went to Michaels for a sketchbook and a black marker. When I got there I was shocked to find that they had every marker except the Copics out in the open! There was no protection, and markers were disorganized, and they even encouraged the use of the exposed markers by providing writing pads. Nevertheless, I went ahead and bought a thin black marker. I brought it home and it was completely empty! They were selling these empty markers for 2.00 and up, even going as far as to charge 4.00 for a crappy marker. Will not be buying supplies there again, the staff was also very unhelpful.

Horrible Customer Service and Management

I was checking out of the Newton store and the cashier wouldn't give me the online advertised promo discount bc I didn't have my phone (don't always carry it). This has not been a problem (as recently as about a month ago) in the past. He told me it would be easier and quicker for me to use my phone (which leads me to believe he just didn't want to bother). I asked for the manager who came over and had an attitude and actually was worse than the cashier. I wanted the District Managers contact info and was told to call the 1-800 number. When I said this hasn't been a problem in the past, instead of giving me the discount as a courtesy and asking me nicely to bring my phone in next time, I got no apology of anything that resembles customer service or care. Just attitude from a person that shouldn't be working with the public. There are definitely other and better places to get arts and craft supplies and that's where I'll be going.
