Purchases a water softener, they were keen to have it fitted asap. On the first visit we found that the unit under my sink needed to be cut through so that they could fit the softener there, their engineer was unable to do this so I had to call a carpenter at additional cost to expose the pipes. They came back to fit the softener which was fine however during the visit they advised me that they had no drinking water taps in stock and that I would have to wait a week or so and the engineer would return. 5 weeks later and 100s of calls later they finally returned to install the drinking water tap. We also had to call the engineer back on another occasion as the water softener settings weren’t as they should have been, when I did my own water hardness test it showed that the water coming through the taps was still hard even after install. It was a lot of going back and forth. In hindsight I would have bought a softener from a more professional company but the softener is doing it’s job almost a year onwards.
I have been using EWT for 5 years now and its one of the best company that has always been good with everything they do and the yearly service is absolutely brilliant. Keep it up .
Two resin leaks into my system causing damage to the boiler and accumulator and promises to pay for the emergency plumber have led to nothing. I have been a customer for nearly 8 years and paid the monthly maintenance fee. I am now removing the equipment, taking them to the small claims court. So bad that they treat such a loyal customer in this way
Dear EWT team You had scheduled system maintenance on Jan 10th with myself .You called me two days before that maintenance and then didn't bother to show up .I called you and specifically told you not to do maintenance as you are so unreliable .You turned up yesterday and as I am out of town my daughter unknowingly let you in .Whilst you where there you changed the drinking water tap that is part of your system .However you changed it for one that isn't remotely like the one you originally fitted and is not even the same shade of the existing taps You have constantly let us down in service over the past three years and you are unresponsive except to your own needs . Update on April 1st Had to pay local plumber to isolate taps and remediate damage I have emailed EWT 11 times and have sent them an invoice NOTHING responded to Except they continue to send a demand for payment I will not pay until they address the issue and I am blown away by lack of customer service
Not happy with their service. First of all, after ordering the water softener system I received a lot of spam emails every couple of days trying to up-sell. Second of all, their so called “engineer” Prezemyslaw wasn’t able to install the system due to our main water mains being in an odd location (hot press) not the standard under the kitchen sink. He didn’t carry out any detailed examination, tried to call someone to ask (nobody answered him) and then told me there is nothing he can do and just left (because he wasn’t too bothered to find waste water pipe). I thought you guys would come up with some sort of solutions to install it, I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit extra to do it. But I guess you don’t need additional customers since you’re very picky who you can install and who you can’t install. I took a day off from work especially for this installation to happen. Wouldn’t recommend EWT!
After lots of trouble getting through to customer services. I Finally got through to Nicole Bruce . She has been extremely helpful in solving my problem very professional and prompt to reply. She has again restored my faith in ewt customer services . Thank you Nicole
My softener blocked all pipes this January 1 no water to take bath in morning of new year had to fix new electric shower and remove all resin from tapes and pipes I have not called company because I am not sure after fixing it will still block my pipes thinking of going for another company
This is one of the worst companies I have come across. Starting from not a great product to also not great aftercare/service. Since installing the EWT softener, we have had a marginal improvement in water hardness, however, water flows significantly reduced across the house. I have ignored this for quite few years as it was working OKAY apart from the water flow issue. Recently booked service to change the filter and run efficiency check. More than 1.5 months and still no sign of any engineer. Every time I call customer service they book something and somehow their system cancel it without notifying the customer. I received calls a day before that appointment is confirmed and magically it disappear the next day. Not sure if they are really keen to run this business or just take the money from customers. Please save yourself from this nightmare, stress and look for a better company that values customer and have quality products/services to offer.
We have been chasing EWT for issues with limescale everywhere in our house ever since the installation of water softener which was done more than 2 months ago. Till date we are facing the same issues. Everytime they send an engineer who does the water test and leave the house claiming even they don't know why it is causing limescale. Multiple emails have been sent on their one and only so called email address asking for refund and no response received till date. Several emails shared with Ryan on his email address but he never came back and offered any solution. We have wasted our £900 with this company and all they have to say over the phone is 'Unfortunately, we can send only an engineer to have a look' 6 visits have been done by different engineers at different times within last 2 months but no one is able to fix the issue. They don't even read your email and just reply back saying an engineer will come to test water and that's it. How many times they will keep on coming and testing? Why can't the management respond and take this further? EWT is the worst company I have ever come accross.....Our brand newly refurbished house is full of limescale everywhere... If the management can see this, please respond to our several complaints made from time to time as your customer service is team is unable to do anything except booking another engineer.
I’ve been with EWT Water for the past 9 years and our water softeners has been very since. Ok there has been a couple of times where the component went wrong but I’ve their monthly plan and they were fast to resolve my case and fix the issue from a phone call away. Overall I have been very happy with the product and their after sales service. During the 9 years I’ve been with them. I have recommended a few friends and a couple of them did the same and they too are very happy with the product and services.
Reliable and efficient service from the EWT engineer who completed my water softener system service this week. Service with a smile is what I’ve become used to in the 4 years I’ve clearly been a very valued customer of EWT.
We have had an EWT softener for nearly 7 years. However a resin leak from the system has caused damage to fittings and pipework. No response to any of our emails, multiple calls made, tried messenger and their customer service centre without a result. Today an engineer arrived who had no idea about the issues, couldn't fix or replace the unit and had no contact information for management. Unfortunately it seems we have no option but to escalate through legal channels. Very very disappointing.
Absolutely delighted with the service I received from start to finish. 5 star service.. Full details given, whilst ensuring understanding every step of the way. The instalation engineer was just fantastic. I do not normally write reviews, however this occasion is different because I do give credit when it's due.
Update : The engineer came after two and weeks and sorted it out. Later customer service team did some compensation for the water loses. The issue is with the drinking water pipe which needs to be replaced. Fingers crossed it wont break again. The customer service team after the several calls took things seriously and actioned well. Thanks to all. But emergency needs to be sorted out still for future customers. Previous Issue: I have installed it 1 year back it was good but now we have more issues with the drinking water pipe which is making loud noise and we are unable to close the pipe and the water is leaking. We did not have an appointment with Engineer still now and it's been 1 week we are suffering from this problem. Customer service is very bad and even in emergency situations, they are helpless.
Water softener was installed about a month back and after multiple engineer visits still having water marks on taps and shower screen. After installation reported this issue - engineer came and made some changes on the system. Even he was not sure why we are getting water marks on taps. Was told to clean taps and shower and give it a week but the issue still remains the same. We are now fed up of calling the customer service team again and again. We are told that engineer will come to check this again. Please arrange to take your system back and issue us the full refund as your product has failed to fulfil the commitment on your website
Wow, I feel the difference now with the soft water now, it has been just a week now, I had a previous experience with different water softener. I am happy with this product, can recommend it. I got EWT gold series.
It really is heart warming to read all of the positive reviews given to EWT (water2buy) by customers who have a newly installed water softener system. I too was happy when my machine was installed several years ago and it made a noticeable notice, but unfortunately fast forward >> to Dec 2021 and this water softener machine has become increasingly unreliable and now it’s causing me no end of grief and costing me additional money. For the second time, (within 15 months of last time) my machine has failed and allowed RESIN BEADS into the normal taps / drinking water system and also central heating system, which resulted in all water taps / showers and toilets being completely blocked up with this resin gunk. This is an annoying situation and as common with most companies, EWT deny any wrongdoing on their part or their machine and just continually blame an alleged high amount of chlorine that they state must be within my incoming water supply (Bromley area) from Thames Water, all this is without any tests to prove!! EWT will do nothing above and beyond to help me resolve this, (not even a refurbished machine swop) which is why they have now lost my faith and trust in them and their products in my home. All they offer is that I could either arrange a call out for issue specifically or they can come and service the machine, but that is it. There was no pre-warning of failure, literally the water just suddenly dried to a trickle and then completely stopped, leaving me to investigate… Every Tap, shower and toilet system had to be dismantled and cleaned out of these RESIN beads and then flushed through, and reinstalled, hopefully getting the water pressure back to normal all of this which takes up lots of time, unfortunately I only managed to get the cold supply working at this stage, no HOT water suggesting issue / resin blockage within my combi boiler or it’s pipes! I moved onto my combi boiler / central heating system and flushed out then refilled and bleed my complete radiator system followed by flushing out and refilling the boiler itself. This enabled the boiler to start working and it was supplying both hot water and central heating, but it was making the strangest unhealthiest of noises for 45 mins, the sort never heard before, I suspect it was the boiler getting rid of the resin as luckily this soon stopped. Taking no chances, I called a boiler engineer to check the boiler and he dismantled it checking for any internal damage, luckily there was none. As I can’t be dealing with this level of inconvenience again, the EWT water softener will never be reconnected to our water system as it just can’t be trusted. Another separate issue with EWT, you can’t get another company to service the machine as they have apparently changed parts / connections to a type only they have… against competition rules!? I am now looking for suitable alternative ‘water conditioning’ options to help prevent limescale build up and hopefully limit damage to machines etc.
I can see the difference with in a week, water is very soft and silky, I have noticed the difference in my skin texture and also great thing is there is no hair fall once I started using EWT softener. No more water spots and scaling issues on taps. I would really recommend this product for people who are living in area like me where the water is very hard.
