I have just had my water softener installed and was very pleased with the service I received. The company were also very responsive to answer any queries and communication was excellent - Abbie was really helpful . The technician who installed my unit explained everything very clearly and I’m very pleased with the results. I would recommend EWT with no hesitation.
Recently installed the EWT Dual softener G20. Right from placing the order to the installation, there were constant updates from them on the progress.
Installation done to to expected standards and unit performing well. Excellent back office support by Ben (Beno) who was very helpful in rescheduling my appointment for a Saturday based on my availability. He went that extra mile to make it happen and am really thankful for that.
I am still trying to get service from EWT. On their recommendation, we have a water softening system installed at a cost of about €600. It has never worked correctly. I have tried calling, but get no response. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and get forwarded to a message box.
Stay away from this company. Their service is non existent.
I’ve been with EWT for around 5 years or so, and have never ever seen a flaw in their products or services. I’ve even successfully referred around 15 others whom have all been happy with their EWT water softeners.
Even when I moved houses last year, the transfer with the unit from one property to another was phenomenal.
I do usually say it’s always a team effort, however I do have to give credit where it’s due. Abbie at EWT who I somehow always come across every time I contact EWT in regards to queries with services/products, is always so polite & patient, and always ensures that her customer service is A1! She’s doing a fantastic job, and I hope I always come across her every time I make contact with EWT.
Was thinking of upgrading my water system and was finding it very hard to find out more information on the app or the website. Telephoned and spoke to Deirdre who was full knowledge on what system would work best for me and the difference in the products . While the app isn't great to use and should really be looked at they don't need an app with staff like Deirdre on the phone to help.
Quick to reply to initial email but then took a couple of days to actual get back to me and solve the problem and this was the 2nd time I had contacted them.
I probably should have written this review about a month after getting the softener installed over 2 years ago but sure look. I got this installed purely for my hair. We had hard water prior and my hair never washed right but since it’s installation I have not been able to wash my hair in my home. I literally cannot get a brush through it afterwards, leaves my hair thick with I don’t know what. I’ve asked about it and maybe if something is faulty but I’m told everythings intact. Also gone through 2 kettles since with the limescale.
You won’t find a more competitive price or friendly, helpful engineer and help centre. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because I got into a bit of confusion about whether the drinking water was softened or not because that should not be softened (and it isn’t). But it required me to call up and clarify whereas I think this should be clearer either up front or via the engineer. Other than that I couldn’t be happier and my clogged up taps and shower have started working again within a day. Fantastic.
I wanted to share the amazing customer service I received from Victoria today - The water softener was not working and instead of going through multiple hoops of technical support my issue was troubleshooted and resolved there and then by the very talented Victoria. She had a solid understanding of the tech and was able to visualise the set up and guide me perfectly to bring back the machine online. EWT have always been very prompt and I have been with them for near about a decade now. Thanks Victoria and EWT!
Contacted EWT and got quick response from Ben, I wanted water softener for my whole house and BEN has explained details and advantages of installing this machine in my house. I ordered one immediately.
Terrible service.. paid for a service on system over 3 weeks ago and made appointment,they never came got a message to say engineers van broke down , waste of a half-day, reschedule appointment for nearly 2 wks later for morning appointment,just got a call engineer got a puncture can't come till pm now another wasted day from work, shocking service
My softner was fitted 11/2016. In the first two years i replaced two kettles and two elements in the emersion heater due to lime in the water. It is virtually impossible to get any reasonable response from EWT including numerous emails and phone calls about the LIme allsorts of excuses. Then in 2019 they replaced it after evidence of the kettle. At this point there service in my area Co kerry Ireland takes 6-8 weeks to see anybody. I have been told they do not have many customers in Kerry i wonder why??? Then i replaced another kettle and the washing machine. Remember EWT states 100% guarantee?????!!!!!! No lime I called several times told just adjustments and then 6 weeks later after a call fed up with lime pse why why why!!!! Me,,,sent a service engineer who was not great empty contents from the unit on my footpath outside would not disolve at all???? He said it will evenually wash away. Two weeks later. Then Covid arrived this was now a problem. So after Covid i made two phone calls requesting a service. No problem i explained the issue with lime but we replaced it in 2019. Yes but still lime washing machine replaced with new one.Oh dear she said well the service will cost you 132 euro 6-8 weeks. Why are you charging me 132 euro i have spent 1200 euro on kettles elements washing machine and labour. Not interested in my lime problem really!!!! i do not think i should pay for this service complains??????? I then phoned and cancelled this service call out two days later and told her i just received a quote from another company to remove EWT and install new one in its place. She replied anything else could not place call off quicker enough!!
I then received a text how is our service 1 to 5. I put 1 off course. A text arrived sorry about that pse explain why and so i did. No response i can only say EWT does not require customers with a LIME PROBLEM after all we at EWT are 100% lime free???? I have started a possible review by BBC Rip of Britain. I have all the proof kettles elements and receipt for the new washing machine. Watch this space lets see what happens.
Been with EWT for several years and always had good service. Live in very hard water area but all appliances are clean and free from limescale. Just had annual service by very friendly and helpful engineer when everything was checked and new drinking water tap fitted.
We placed an order with £1.00 deposit. Unheard of!

The whole experience filled us with confidence and we will definitely speak to our friends and relatives about the excellent product and service.
We have had our ewt water softener for a few years now and although the online and phone customer service isn't very efficient we were always satisfied with the service provided by the engineer who did the annual service. That is until our last service in October 2021.
We thought everything was OK until we got our water bill for the 6 months from October 2021 to April 22. Apart from a few day's, the same period of time since the service.
During that period our average daily water usage has increased from 376 for the same period last year to 577 in the 6 months since the service.
We have not done anything different have not had any leaks, but when we checked the water softener we discovered that the engineer had set it to regenerate 4 times in each cycle, which according to the instruction booklet is the recommended setting for a household of 4.
There are 2 of us so we always had it set for 2 regenerations each cycle and it's never been changed by previous engineers.
We now have a water bill of nearly £200 more than we usually pay and no doubt our electricity bills will have increased as well.
I have emailed their customer care and made a formal complaint, but I am not expecting a response.
As pensioners we really don't need this extra cost on top of everything else.
Update.
I have now discovered that EWT have been charging me for what I thought was an annual service for 9 years, when in fact I have been paying for a 'free 7 point efficiency check' and a replacement filter for a drinking water filter that I have never had installed. If the efficiency check is free, then the charge can only be for the filter replacement.
They have replied to my email and all they say is that the 'services' were signed for. Of course they were, because we thought that was what they'd done. How were we supposed to know that what they did wasn't a service, we're not engineers. I have asked them to explain if there is a difference between a service and a 'free 7 point efficiency check' and so far no response.
