We have been having problems with our softener for the last few years. EWT sent a "5 * engineer" called Mario out to us last year. He left the place in such a state I requested that he would not be sent to our house again. A few weeks ago I got a text to say that they were sending Mario out so I rang them to say that we didn't want this engineer in our home because of what happened the last time. Mario turns up at our door yesterday and I felt obliged to let him in. He left a worse mess at our front door this time, have a look at the photos!! It's a disgraceful service, EWT sent me an e-mail to say that this service was free because I was such a good customer!! We now have a big clean up job after he dumping everything at our front door. This was his 2nd time doing it so EWT obviously never addressed the issue the first time. Disgraceful service and so unprofessional. STAY AWAY from this company, pay the bit extra for a local company and it will pay off in the long run!! That's what we will be doing from now on.

Just had a service call about 13:30.I was advised that this would take place between 17:00 and 21:00 lucky I was at home the service engineer was excellent.He had left house about 10 minutes when I received a call from a english call centre regarding my overdue account when I made a call to EWT to discuss this I was speaking to a Indian call centre what do you have to do to speak to someone in Dublin to discuss this very shoddy customer service.

The service was very good . I have seen the improvement on communication as well .

I just ordered the EWT water softener it was positive response from team (Victoria) I been also recommended from my friend. Hoping it will arrive very soon to me.

We have had an EWT water softener for over 7 years. Even during the covid pandemic, I have had no problem getting through to EWT customer service on the phone & I have always had friendly & courteous service. We have an annual maintenance contract paid by monthly direct debit which includes service to the water softener, change of drinking water filter & supply of salt bags to last a year. The engineers have always been friendly & professional. Most importantly the machine is efficient at softening the water despite living in a very very hard water area. One thing I would advise is not to fill the water softener tank with maximum salt, I only fill up to half level so as to minimise salt bridging which is when the salt becomes rock solid near the bottom of the tank & the performance deteriorates unless you break up the salt bridge every day.

Initially the install was good and the servicing was good. I never received the free salt for leaving a review. Then for the next 3 or 5 years all I wanted to do was set up a direct debit which they are just totally inept at doing. Now I have the DD but get spam reminders every week telling me my service is due (it is due annually in september). In January after owning my machine for about 10 years, the resin bag split and dumped in my water supply clogging up my washing machine, dishwasher, 2 toilets, electric shower and undrinkable water. My plumber worked out the problem and EWT told me how to bypass the machine until their engineer could get to me. Unfortunately my arthritic hands couldn't move the very stiff valves so I had to wait for family to come. The first guy came and 'fixed' it, said it was not EWTs fault it was down to chlorine and they wouldn't settle my plumbing bill. It then happened again a couple of weeks later. My son was able to visit and do the valve again. My plumber had to do all the work again and EWT sent another engineer who said he wouldn't or couldnt fix it as the previous plumber had made an error. The next engineer came and said they had fixed it but I haven't taken it off bypass because EWT refuse to settle the 2nd plumbers bill saying they are not at fault and I can't afford to chance it given their resin failure rate and their refusal to accept it was their employee error.

Such an efficient business. My drinking water tap was dripping and I called for support. The person answering the phone was professional and polite. I received an appointment, within a couple of days. Unfortunately two days before my scheduled service I had to reschedule. This was no problem and the new appointment was set for Friday 8th April. The service engineer, Arturas, was a star. He called an hour before arrival to check that everything was ok for his visit. Within a few minutes of arrival he had replaced the dripping tap with a new tap and had given the water softener a quick once over. He wad also politeness personified. EWT are very highly recommended and get my 5 star award for service.

The most unprofessional company I have had to deal with so far. I had the softner fitted a year and half ago. Between last year November and January this year, the water softner leaked 4 times causing a significant amount of damage to my brand new flat. After 4 different engineer visits, only the last one was competent enough to stop the leak. At every visit they would also take pictures of the damage to raise a claim for compensating me for the damages. In couple of instances the leak was so severe that the water reached my kitchen, bedroom and in the common area outside my flat. All leaks happened during the regeneration cycle which were set by EWT to happen at 2 am. Now it's April and after chasing day and night i am getting no where with this company. Everytime I call I get the same answer " we will pass the message on to this certain individual and he will get back to me via email ". Well this person never responds and it has become a routine for me now to call the number every 2 hours to get the same reply. I was asked to provide quotes, which I did, the total repair work is nearly £5000 not something small that I can let go and fix out of my own pocket. All leaks were due to poor installation as agreed by the engineers at each visit. I have even said if they think the quote is too much, I am more than happy for EWT to do the repair works themselves. I just want my property returned to the predamaged condition. But still no resolve, everyday the same story that this certain individual will email me. If someone out there can help me deal with them through legal action or advise, please kindly get in touch. I don't think I have any other choice left as no one is tell me anything and apparently in this big company there is only one person as a decision maker.

Great for now... We had it installed on 04.04.2022 and we are happy with it. Wish the Engineer who installed the softener informed me that Mains stopcock needs fixing. He did not tell me and I noticed it 2 days later. I had to get it sorted by calling a plumber who said it was because of the softener installation. For now I am happy with it but reading the negative comments is a bit concerning.

We purchased the EWT water system and got the water softener & Water Filter installed last year, EWT guided us on which Softener is best suitable for the House before installing the device. Technician went out of his way to be careful and prepared the pipes in a way that saved space with minimal impact under the sink. We had a very good experience after the EWT system installation until now, especially Mr. Ben went through the whole system in detail which was quite easy to understand and he gave us the information and proper guidance. The service provided by EWT was amazing and outstanding. All the best EWT team.

EWT sent a reminder that our water softener was due it's annual check. A suitable appointment was made and kept. I also took the opportunity to order more salt. The company's representative arrived on time, serviced and topped up the softener and replaced the filter for the drinking water tap. He also carried in the salt bags I'd ordered. Very polite and helpful throughout and a very quick worker with a pleasant disposition. Nothing to criticise at all. Also very happy with both the water softener and the drinking water tap living as we do in a very hard water area.

The engineers are always polite, professional and helpful. The water is soft and limescale in my house is greatly reduced. My only criticism is the method to organise a service visit and salt delivery included. If you pay by DD you cannot arrange this though the app. You have to call which can takes a long time. Then it's very annoying that you cannot arrange a time when you finally speak to someone. You have to wait for an appointment to be emailed to you.....which obviously may not be at a convenient time! This takes a week or more to come through! Then if you have to change the appointment, you have to wait again for a new, possibly inconvenient time to be emailed to you. EWT, your appointment system is ridiculous. I've been a customer for over 10 years, please return to the old way you had of making an appointment or sort out the app to include your contract customers. Apart from the appointment method recommend EWT

I don't normally write negative review but I have no choice this time and need to let people know about my experience with EWT. I bought water softener and G5 water filter last year, had minor leak when installed by EWT engineer who I mentioned about the leak while he was onsite but assured me that he fixed it but still leaking after he left so I had to fix and don't bother to mention at that time to EWT since it is just minor leak. Recommended to two of my friends to use EWT and warn them to be careful with leaking. I did not get referral and chased but no reply, so I did not bother. It is now time to change the G5 filter so tried to book in, did not get the appointment for two weeks, when finally got the appointment you can't change to any other day apart from Friday so decided to do DIY since EWT sells DIY G5 filter kit in EWT app. I have ordered on 25th Feb 2022, got the order confirmation email but never got G5 filter for two weeks then chased up about 5 times and being told someone will call back each time but never did. When I asked the reason why they did not send, they can't explain, no apology for inconvenience caused so decided to cancel the order and still has not received the refund yet. Today, when I called to find out where is refund, being told that it will be processed tomorrow and will get in 10 days! I would not recommend EWT and want to warn others who are considering using EWT.

The person who attended to service the water softener was polite and did the work very efficiently. There was no mess left following the work. Would recommend the company.

Great customer service team

In November 2021 we came home to find our water softener had overflowed onto our wooden floor. Phoned EWT and they said they would send someone next week, as this was of no use to us they said to get a plumber and EWT would reimburse us. After numerous phone calls and text's I finally reached out to citizens advice for help and they advised me to send a txt to all managers re our problem. This was ignored so I phoned again to be told send the txt again and finally after 3 1/2 months we received our refund. Totally exhausting.

First few services were good so upgraded to a water softner service and also a gas boiler service which happened but the 10 bags of salt didn't arrive and despite several requests I haven't received my salt or a response so am very disappointed and will give up asking after 5 requests 😑
