Never ever book international flights.

Never ever book international flights. I booked a flight to Europe and it turned out that I was flying three to four different airlines. I needed to make a change and the price went from $800 to $1900. It was so restrictive that I ended up buying a ticket on AA, American Airlines. It cost more but I can change my flight and includes 1 baggage. The cost was $1150. AA also knew all of the US laws regarding travel. I will use the other ticket sometime but will not receive any value for it

Travelocity had my Vacation turned…

Travelocity had my Vacation turned upside down with their screwups. (No sense going into lengthy details) they were just useless in fixing their own errors. I had spent hours with the airlines on fixing Travelocity errors costing me time and more money. "NEVER EVER, EVER NEVER USE THEM AGAIN".

ATTENTION: FILE A COMPLAINT with the FTC!

We purchased a tour of Harry Potter Studios in London through Travelocity. The tour company Fast Track Tours did not show up. It was a scam - there were no tickets. Travelocity refused to refund the tour. This is fraud. I filed an FTC/Consumer Protection Agency complaint against Travelocity. I HOPE OTHER PEOPLE WILL READ THIS AND FILE AN FTC/CONSUMER PROTECTION COMPLAINT ALSO. We paid Travelocity for the tickets - not the fraudulent tour company, so Travelocity is responsible for refunding our money - otherwise they are complicit in the fraud. I hope other people read this and also file a complaint with the U.S. government so that Travelocity gets investigated and shut down. The FTC website also has good advice about how to dispute the charge and write a letter to the credit card companies to protect your rights and get your money back. They also suggest filing a complaint with your state attorney general. I will do that next.

People really need to lookup reviews…

People really need to lookup reviews before they purchase here! Look how low it is. Basically if you order a vacation and show up and it’s not what you ordered Travelocity will not help you in any way. Order directly from the hotels.

Total scam

Total scam, do not book with Travelocity! Zero accountability! Their customer service is practically nonexistent and they do not take responsibility for managing your booking if there is an issue, which they are absolutely supposed to do. We booked a connecting flight to our holiday destination through them, a few days in to the holiday, they emailed us stating that our airline cancelled our flight and they didn’t include any next steps for us to follow. After an hour using their online chat, they told us another airline took over our reservation and there was nothing they could do. We called that airline while on the chat and that other airline said the trip was booked with Travelocity and therefore Travelocity had authority and access to manage the booking and that what we were being told was incorrect. Then I called the original airline we were flying with, while still on the Travelocity online chat, and our airline took responsibility since we were getting the run around. We asked to speak to a supervisor with Travelocity and were told that was not possible. The airline reissued our ticket and put us on a new flight. Travelocity did absolutely nothing but keep us on the chat while we solved the problem ourselves. Never never ever book with third party sites like Travelocity, it’s not worth the discount. Their mistake which they took zero responsibility for cost us a day of our holiday and a lot of unwarranted stress for an error that was not ours.

Travelocity doesn't honor its commitments

Travelocity, doesn't stand by what it says. I booked a refundable trip using the site and due to COVID, I called the Vendor and Travelocity customer service and they assured me I would get a refund. It never came, I started the series of calls again and they kicked me back and forth for 4 calls. Finally I was told I was given a credit to use at a later date. Well that has turned out to be BS, now six calls later and being told only Travelocity can help and when you speak to them they tell you only the vendor can help. Don't book through third parties!! Travelocity is garbage!

Don't ever book with Travelocity

Don't ever book with Travelocity, EVER! Worst experience we've ever had. COVID insurance a total scam. Customer service nonexistent! Impossible to get help. Went to Aruba, originally stayed one night in decrepit hotel and chalked up the loss. Found much nicer hotel on our own for the next 4 nights. Wife tested positive and couldn't return, missing flight. Zero help navigating that mess. Zero refund despite purchasing insurance.

False promises.

Booked a stay at omni Hotel Cancun in early April. Upon purchasing my tickets and flights, there was a disclosure that said covid test would be free if you book before March 13th. This was one of the main reason I chose this hotel since covid test in Mexico run $30-40 a person. I booked my stay back in February. Upon getting to the hotel and speaking to staff, they had no idea what I was talking about, and told me I would have to handle it with Travelocity, assume so they can avoid me asking anymore questions. Upon calling and emailing Travelocity customer service, they said they would fix the problem and make sure I get my money back. Sure enough, they said its the hotels responsibility to refund me, not theirs. I have been getting the run around with both Travelocity and Omni hotel.Upon providing everything they ask of me, like my credit card statements where it shows the charge, and a screenshot of where it states the tests would be complementary, still no one will resolve this.

horrible

horrible. My parents bought 2 tickets from Miami to Sao Paulo before pandemic. the airline canceled the flight for obvious reasons (covid). We got a credit and booked the flight to 1 year later (May 2021)...Latam Airlines canceled the flight again and gave us a credit to use in 1 year which expires in May 2022...Now my parents are not able to flight (use the credit) and travelocity says "SORRY, YOU WILL NOT GET THE MONEY BACK AND NOT GET YOUR CREDIT EXTENDED" That is so absurd...I feel like I'm being robed!!! so frustrating

They booked my flight to one island and…

They booked my flight to one island and hotel on another. No ferry or flights running between the islands that day or my day of departure. The app forces you into these options with no warnings. When I booked another trip through them I didn’t have to worry about this my connecting flight was all set. Isn’t that their service? Good thing I noticed as I was bordering the plane. Where’s my thousands of dollars Travelocity? Stop blaming Delta and the hotel.

Credit Card RipOff. Beware!

Booked a flight through Travelocity using a credit from a previous cancelled flight. Had to speak to an agent (overseas somewhere) and give a credit card number to pay for additional balance. Not only did I pay for my flight, my card was used to fraudulently purchase a flight on another airline! Had to cancel my card and dispute the charge. Rip off company! Try to find a human to talk to? Good luck!

Breaking up with travelocity

I have used travelocity my whole adult life, but this has been the last time. Have now spent FOUR HOURS trying to use my flight credits, and I just keep getting abandoned by agents, or they offer a price that is then magically higher after I say yes to it. Literally my whole day for tickets I originally booked in 10 minutes, then cancelled in 20 when I got Covid, and I'm basically paying double than if I just booked with the airlines. I think they are trying to wear me down so they can keep my money. I will use them to identify a good potential flight, maybe, and book through airlines from now on.

Very disappointing experience

Very disappointing experience. I had booked flights during 2020 pandemic that I could not use, all through Travelocity. On March 29, 2022 I received an email from Travelocity stating that if I were an AA Advantage member, I could get flight credits, and it explained how to claim them. I tried the procedure and got a rejection from AA earlier today online. The Travelocity email stated if I was not successful getting the flight credits, I should contact AA. I called AA customer service (1 hr wait for call back), and after finally speaking with a rep, she told me that Travelocity email was incorrect, and that for ticket #s starting with 0017, I could only get the credit thru Travelocity. I then called Travelocity customer service (1 hr + wait for call back), and after 50 min on phone with rep, she told me that she had to connect me with reps in higher level at Travelocity to get my credit recognized. She told me she would connect me. I have now been on hold for another 45 min. Meanwhile, I saw a reference on Google to AA not posting flight credits for bookings thru 9/30/22 until 4/8/22, which may or may not apply to my tickets. I generally have had pretty good service from Travelocity over past years, and this email, sending me on a wild goose chase, and now waiting for over an hour on the phone with their reps, leads me to post this review. At least I can listen to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" on their continuous loop music... Subsequent update: Shortly after writing the above review, I was connected with rep who was very nice, and she did find my credit and get it applied to a new flight. The only problem is that when I need a credit for another cancelled flight from 2020, I will have to go through the same phone wait in order to get a credit for that ticket.

Never, ever use Travelocity to make a hotel reservation

Never, ever again. I made a reservation for three nights, to be paid at the hotel. More than 24 hours in advance I wanted to drop the third night. After 90 minutes with Travelocity, I was told it was done. What actually happened, is I paid two nights at the hotel. Travelocity charged me for three nights and one additional night, so I paid for six nights! I spent 90 minutes, and then 30 minutes with Travelocity's chat trying to fix. When eventually it becomes clear that they can't or won't solve the problem, the Travelocity person types "Are you there. You're not responding. Good-bye" and cuts off the conversation even if I do respond within seconds. Again: never ever use Travelocity. Always go directly to the hotel.

Never Again

At one time, Travelocity seemed like a decent way to book travel. Since the pandemic, it has been a nightmare. It makes me wonder if they are just trying to wear me down until I give up and let them keep my money. Customer service is terrible. I have travel credit from a cancelled flight last year and have an email confirming it. Yet my account shows no travel credits. Calls either result in a message about system failure/try back another time, or result in a long wait to speak to someone. I have been waiting over an hour now, the result of getting to the "wrong department" after the initial person transferred me to someone who was also the "wrong department." This is a replay of a 2020 attempt to cancel a trip and get credit due to Covid. Travelocity has gone from a trusted site to a never again site for me.
