Very disappointing experience. I had booked flights during 2020 pandemic that I could not use, all through Travelocity. On March 29, 2022 I received an email from Travelocity stating that if I were an AA Advantage member, I could get flight credits, and it explained how to claim them. I tried the procedure and got a rejection from AA earlier today online. The Travelocity email stated if I was not successful getting the flight credits, I should contact AA. I called AA customer service (1 hr wait for call back), and after finally speaking with a rep, she told me that Travelocity email was incorrect, and that for ticket #s starting with 0017, I could only get the credit thru Travelocity. I then called Travelocity customer service (1 hr + wait for call back), and after 50 min on phone with rep, she told me that she had to connect me with reps in higher level at Travelocity to get my credit recognized. She told me she would connect me. I have now been on hold for another 45 min. Meanwhile, I saw a reference on Google to AA not posting flight credits for bookings thru 9/30/22 until 4/8/22, which may or may not apply to my tickets. I generally have had pretty good service from Travelocity over past years, and this email, sending me on a wild goose chase, and now waiting for over an hour on the phone with their reps, leads me to post this review. At least I can listen to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" on their continuous loop music... Subsequent update: Shortly after writing the above review, I was connected with rep who was very nice, and she did find my credit and get it applied to a new flight. The only problem is that when I need a credit for another cancelled flight from 2020, I will have to go through the same phone wait in order to get a credit for that ticket.
