Washington to nowhere.

Washington We booked our trip through Travelocity. U called and asked about a seat upgrade to get our ba checked in, and carry ons. I was placed on hold, and then was told, there were no other seats available, that I was out of luck. I informed the employee that I was looking at the flight and there were open seats, they were economy plus. So I called United and they moved out seats on all flights for around an additional 1200 bucks. Now please note, during our walk to c-20 I called Travelocity. I was informed that since United made changes to our flight that they could do nothing for us. I told them that we had trip insurance. She said we got to Washington so we would only get a potion of the 115 dollars back! I said wha? That’s not how trip insurance works. She gave me the number for the insurance, and I had to hand up before I went off on her. They, Travelocity left us stranded! We were originally supposed to fly from PNS to Washington. That got cancelled and Once out plane arrived in Washington, we were informed to go to gate c-20 for information about our flight. We were rerouted to Houston, and then to Washington. The crew was late by 1 hour and 30 minutes. Which ate into 3 hour layover. Then we got rerouted to Ohio because the plane was low on fuel. which made us even later. The connecting flight was delayed up until 10 minutes before our arrival. One of the other ladies on the plane was going to Barcelona also. Here daughter was already aboard the connecting flight. she informed us that the plane had just left the gate as we were pulling into the gate. Once out of the plane we were informed to go to gate c-20 for information about our flight and to get put on another flight. As we approached c-20 there was a line of hundreds of people. We finally got to the front of the line at 130 in the morning. After a lot of searching the lady found an opening on another airline. Turkish air. We asked about getting a hotel for the night. We were informed all the hotels in the area were totally booked! No shops were open for food! and of course my medications were in my checked bags. I had on days worth on my person. Which I already used half. I am diabetic and have a heart condition. No one cared. It was an oh well type of attitude. After another few hours we were able to get our luggage from down stairs. Then we went to Turkish air to see about the flight. They did not open until 1600 hours. Ironically an hour later a Turkish air employee was pushing luggage down the hall. We stopped him and asked about the flight. He informed us that they had no openings whatsoever until Tuesday. That United was wrong. We then went to guest services for United and spoke with a guy. He came on at 7 am. We’re talked with hime for about 4 hours. We told them to just get us back to Pensacola. There were no flights for days. The manager came over and found another flight and verified it. The girl in the Birka started to look at it and changed it again. That’s when They, eventually found us a flight via Brussels air. We were told at 1400 that the flight was cancelled. We were told to go to Lufthansa and they would get us on another flight. Nope. totally booked. Oh, the line was extremely long. The lady said that we were not even in their system. That when they pulled up our booking number there were numerous changes to our booking. Pages. We were not getting out. We went back to United, of course there was numerous people again. We informed the lady doing line control what was going on, she let us in the back of the line. How gracious. We finally just gave up and got a rental car. We have lost thousands on this trip. Hotels, cruises, excursions, faith! Travelocity to date still says that since United took control of the ticket, the are not responsible.

Booked round trip flights and then it charges my card three times for the same flight and then in addition told me the cost had gone up another $500 and asked me to book a new flight! Customer service gives no explanation and simply stated I will have the finds returning to me within 7-10 business days! This place should be shut down!

Worst Travel Company in the World

Terrible company and bad customer service. They willingly ignore email proof of a hotel general manager's approval of my refund. They also lied about calling Peace and Plenty Resort, which the GM confirmed in an email that he had never been contacted by Travelocity. They engaged in unethical business practices with me as a customer. Never again will I use their services.

Thank God we booked through Travelocity

I’ve used Travelocity since their early days on the internet and always found them as my perfect first stop and many times I completed the booking with them. A few times, there were minor irritations when I had trouble dealing with an actual carrier who told me that I needed to approach Travelocity instead of them. However I just had an experience that has me thanking my lucky stars I booked through Travelocity: we booked Air Canada flights for a trip of a lifetime we have coming up in July. Almost immediately we realized that we had made a minor mistake in the reservation. We started calling Air Canada immediately the night we booked and tried several other times. We had several phone calls where we had been on hold for two hours (I kid you not!!) and still never made it through to the airline. We tried using their chat system which was only monitored by a bot that did not ever answer the question or give us the opportunity to proceed farther and eventually get a human. We were extremely frustrated!!! Last night, we decided to try talking to Travelocity to see if they could reach out to Eric Canada. Within two minutes we were speaking with a live human, albeit with a very thick accent that was hard to understand. She actually was able to complete everything for us within 15 minutes. When we got off of the phone we were completely and utterly thankful that we had booked with Travelocity. They save the day for us! If you’re worried about booking with them, just read the pros and cons list. There are a few minor things that you will encounter by booking with them, but the peace of mind of knowing that you will get through and be dealt with should a situation arise is well worth the minor irritations. Five stars Travelocity! Well done!!

Travelocity doesn't stand behind their customer. Don't buy travel insurance through AIG

I booked a hotel in NY city through Travelocity for a business trip. I paid for the AIG insurance $7.95, to cover cancellations etc. The airlines cancelled my flights, thus my meeting was cancelled. I spoke to Travelocity rep, they charged me the full price for the room, and told me to file a claim with AIG. AIG informed me that on page 6 there is a clause....don't use travelocity, and don't buy the insurance

Cancellation is a loop that will make you go over the delay for full refund.

Booked online, had to cancel a few hours later since my situation changed. Tried cancelling online first, site directed me to a bot, bot couldn't do it either, had to call. Called, spent 40 minutes on the phone after the agent kept telling me he was checking and leaving me on wait then coming back to tell me he was checking then putting me on hold again... then eventually he hanged up. Tried to use the bot again, he told me to call. I called again, the automated menu wasn't letting me through the menu because he was saying I wasn't giving him a response (I was). still haven't been able to cancel and it's been 3-4 hours of this circus. They seem to try stalling until the 24h is up so they take 300$ and reimburse the rest. Do not use

Zezgo, don’t do it.

Zezgo, Beware, I travel all over, always renting a car. I was expecting some issues when I landed in the Dominican Republic Zezgo. I had a copy of my personal high end full coverage insurance from the states. In addition I had a letter from my credit card company providing additional insurance. LOL. The guy did not even try to look at it just said sorry you have to buy ours. $14.95 a day. Got an old car to boot. Just don’t do it. I had over $100k US coverage…Travelocities insurance is not enough either. It’s a bait and switch, Travelocity says you get a full refund if you are not satisfied as long as you cancel 6 hour prior. By then it is to late you are there and have no choice to take the car or lose what you have already paid.

HORRIBLE experience with this company - Trip Canceled for Refusing to Honor Price I Booked at and had written confirmation

HORRIBLE experience with this company. I booked a room, printed the paperwork, then was verbally assaulted by the front desk when pointing out the rate they were trying to charge at check-in was more than the confirmed written and printed price. When calling Travelocity to change hotels, they lied and repeatedly place me on hold for 2.5 hours, refusing to book a different place. Had to cancel the entire trip with kids and a dog in the car for over 5 hours. Book with a different company. Horrendous lack of customer service. They could have corrected it and saved our vacation. Their refusal to honor the price I booked at caused our entire trip to be canceled.

Incompetence

I booked a flight to Kenya via Travelocity, but due to a delay obtaining a passport had to cancel the flight. I bought a fully refundable flight. When I go to Travelocity and get customer service (Apoorva was the chat rep) I'm told it's non-refundable. Even though Travelocity sent me an email that said it was refundable six times immediately after I purchased it. Finally annoyed after being told several times that Apoorva couldn't refund my money, I went to Delta's website and got a full refund processed to be returned within 7 business days. I did in 30 seconds what this Travelocity "professional" couldn't do period.

DO NOT BUY FLIGHT TICKETS OR THEIR FLIGHT PROTECTION INSURANCE!!!

I bought a $600 dls flight ticket along with the "flight protection insurance" thru the third party company AIG Travel). I presented health issues two days before due to Covid post-effects and after month and half of providing a bunch of documents including medical...they rejected my claim!!!. I lost $600 dls plus 150 dls for a stupid claim form they made me to request to my primary doctor. This was the last time I use travelocity, I HATE THEM! NEVER BUY! STAY AWAY FROM THESE AWFUL COMPANIES: TRAVELOCITY & AIG TRAVEL INSURANCE

Don't even bother booking on Travelocity- waste of time and money…

I booked 6 flights using Travelocity in March 2022 and have used Travelocity for most of my airfare and car rentals for many years. 8 days ago I received some text messages saying that the flights to one of the destinations has been cancelled and I had 24 hours to contact Travelocity to book new flights or to cancel with $0 fees. I called right away and was told that I could not choose a new flight and was given 2 very bad options that did not work for me. Agent said that if I want to change the day or choose a different flight, it would cost $211 per person and we had 4 people booked. They said American Airlines would not let me choose my flights or change days. I even purchased cancellation insurance through Travelocity when I purchased and was told I could not even cancel the flight because it was nonrefundable. I was on phone for about 3 hours until I was fed up and then called American Airlines. Within 5 minutes, I was told I could choose a flight and change the days with $0 fees, according to their policy. AND the flights were cheaper than what I paid on Travelocity, but was told I would have to ask Travelocity for a refund for the cheaper flights. I called back Travelocity and spoke to a supervisor to file a complaint and asked to refund my cancellation insurance since it was useless. Supervisor told me they would listen to the recording of the call and get back to me within 24 hours. No call back. So I called back and they told me a supervisor would call me back within 72 hours. No call back. 8 days later I spent 1 hour again on the phone, no supervisor was available and they couldn't "find" the recording of my phone call. They said someone would call me back. I am not holding my breath and I will NEVER EVER use Travelocity again. BOoking directly with the airline was cheaper and way more convenient. Why would I use Travelocity- complete waste of time and money.

Do not use this service for booking…

Do not use this service for booking your flight. Our flight was canceled and we requested refund. The Travelocity agent has approved this request and created a refund process. We waited a week and when we asked about our return status, they said that aircompany denied refunds because our bookingcode have been used. We created a return process 3 days before departure, but somehow our tickets were not canceled. And now Travelocity is not responsible for it. Therefore, always buy tickets directly, in which case you can request a cancellation directly.

Protect yourself don't book through Travelocity

Booked a flight through Travelocity to go to Colombia. Due to the extradition of a drug lord the threat level went up to three. If we would have booked direct the airline would have let us change flights, but Travelocity hit us with so many penalties to change our flight it would have cost more than purchasing another flight. Do yourself a favor book direct. Travelocity doesn't care about you.

I reserved a hotel for a friend of mine, I paid for it. The pandemic hit and the place closed down so she couldn't stay there. I requested a refund SEVERAL times and each time they said the Expedia would contact me about my refund. Now when I inquiry about it, they say I didn't have a reservation even though I give them the itinerary number. I made the reservation with the refund option. DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF.
