Booked a Czech airlines flight through Travelocity from Budapest to Prague in 2020. The airline cancelled the flight due to Czech closing the country to any outside visitors. Travelocity did nothing to get me a refund. I tried calling Travelocity numerous times with no success. I would never use this company again

Inconvenience

I reserved a car through Enterprise. I thought if you paid with a credit card you didn’t have to pay a deposit. Also I’ve been renting cars with Enterprise for years and they still treat me like a new customer. I didn’t get the rental!!!! Enterprise put it in travel status which means any money paid to Travelocity for vehicle protection is NON REFUNDABLE. This was my FIRST and LAST time using Travelocity. MY LAST TIME USING ENTERPRISE because they’re in on the SCAM.

Terrible car rental experience

My car rental was a horrendous experience and I partially blame Travelocity because they changed my booking when I added my boyfriend as a driver. I asked for a refund and they can't give it to me without checking with the rental place, but the rental place won't answer the phone. So I'm left with no refund because Travelocity is the middle man. Horrible company if you have anything at all go wrong. I have booked with them many times before without incident, but now that I have a problem that isn't being addressed I realize I will never use them again!

It is really a scam when you buy insurance to cover your trip from Travelocity. They never mention that you have 15 days to cancel and get a refund. If you change your plans, you are screwed. I'm very disappointed with Travelocity and its insurance.

Do not book with this company

Do not book with this company. We booked a trip to the Bahamas and then a few weeks later we received an email that our flight needed to be changed to a day earlier. My husband then received multiple text messages asking if we accepted the changes. How could we possibly accept without accommodations for the extra day. My husband spent hours on the phone and chose the call-back feature. They finally decided to call us back at 2 am. He then called again the next day and when he finally reached an agent he asked to be switched to a different flight leaving on the same day. They then hung up on him so he’s having to call them back and will have to wait for a third time. The issue is still not resolved. What was supposed to be a relaxing time away has turned into a nightmare.

Don't bother with Travelocity!!!

We booked a trip to Mexico with a layover in Dallas at 11:40am our flight was to leave at 6am from STL. We arrived 1.5 hours early to the airport our flight on the board was on time. We made our way to the gate and by the time we got there our flight was "pushed back" to 3pm, and then ultimately cancelled. We had purchased the Trip Insurance for the whole trip, and have been able to get our flight refund -- HOWEVER even though the hotel was advertised as refundable Travelocity has refused to refund the hotel charges EVEN with the Trip Insurance and the flight being refunded. Lesson learned, with Travelocity the Insurance means nothing and they will not work with you.

Awful call center and customer service

The same as all the other reviews … I’ve spent about 36 hours over two weeks trying to rebook a flight for credit for a cancelled flight They have no case management system so every call starts from scratch They are not capable of calling the Airlines on the correct numbers and keeps saying the credits have expired when I send them emails from the Airlines which give them a waiver code and say the flights have not expired My last time to book anything with the company …. Just awful

I have a had a horrible experience with flight credits

I have a had a horrible experience with Travelocity. I have two credits that I have to be used very soon. I have spoke and messaged with 4 separate agents, each telling me a different story. I called three times and was on hold the first time for over 3 hours, the second time for three more hours and when I got a hold of someone the call was dropped and the agent did not call back. The first time I was told my credits were expired and I could not use them. They were not. I was told a supervisor would call me in an hour and no one contacted me. I reached out on facebook messenger and was told by another agent that my credits weren't expired and they could be used but there were no flights available on the days I was requesting. I sent a screenshot of the available flights on their website and they miraculously could book my flight all of a sudden. Then I was told I only had one credit and the flight was $1314.They almost doubled the cost of the flight because I was using credits. I sent them a screenshot again of my available credits in my account and a screenshot of the exact flight on their website. The same flight on their website was $893. The agent told me that flight prices are different when using credits. Then the agent found my second credit and when they applied it to the flight it went up to $1435. They said there was nothing they could do. The price is different when booking a new flight compared to using a credit. Then my husband contact Travelocity and this agent told him that the price was different then booking it new because of the seat assignment. Supposedly this flight did not have the same names for seat sections so they had to give us more expensive seats. This made no sense. We only book economy. Basically the original flight that was canceled had a specific name for the seats we were in and this new flight did not match. They couldn't even tell him what type of seats are comparable just that we had to pay for more expensive seats. They have now stopped responding to any messages or calls. I'm beyond frustrated and need help with this booking. They keep creating new lies so that we can't use our credits. It is now cheaper for me to book this flight without our credits. How is this okay or even legal?

Set up for failure

I had a vacation planned (actually my first vacation ever after being in the workforce for 20 years and coming from a low income family) which was cancelled due to the shutdown in March 2020. I received an airline credit that expired yesterday. I’ve been hesitant to book anything due to constant regulation changes and uncertainty due to the pandemic. I did not want to lose the money, so I was just going to purchase a random flight and make sure I had insurance in case it needed to be changed again. I attempted to use my credit and it would not let me book a trip on my own, it said I needed an agent. I called the customer service line and the wait was 8 hours. I opened up the online chat and it said the wait was over 15 minutes. I waited hours with no agent responding. I attempted to reach them via Facebook and they requested my itinerary info, which I provided immediately, and then received no response until this morning after my credit expired. I utilized all the channels I could and could not reach anyone so my credit expired and I’m out $250. The agent had the audacity to blame me for trying to book last night and I told him if the deadline wasn’t the deadline, then they should have given a different date. They said since it expired, there is nothing they could do even though their system forced me to book with an agent and then they had no agents available. This poor customer service and the fact that they have now received the financial benefits for a service they did not provide are the reasons I will never consider booking through them again. I’ve seen message boards of many people who were put in my same position, so if there is a class action lawsuit, I will be on it.

After 4 1/2 hours of ping pong on the phone with Travelocity with no resolve… I am beyond upset with their customer service and is worse than anything I have dealt with. Their Business practices are corrupt which left me at a deficit of $300. Do not trust what they say because you will get nowhere!

BOOK THROUGH LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE

BOOK THROUGH LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE. Travelocity is horrendous. My mother booked a round trip flight and had an unexpected death in the family. The funeral ended up being the day after her initial return flight was scheduled, so she needed to move her return flight. No change fees, should be easy right? WRONG. After their system told us we needed to contact customer service to change the reservation, it took more than 6 HOURS to finally speak to someone. We each were continually hung up on, redirected, etc. The agent I finally connected with ensured me that he would rebook her flight and charge the difference of the new flight to her card ($275). She agreed and he then said the system was down so she would have to contact the airline directly to change it. She called the airline and they were going to charge an insane fee for not going through Travelocity to change the flight. Upon hearing this, I started a new marathon of trying to get back in contact with an agent at Travelocity. The new agent said the new flight would now cost almost $400 (the same one that was $275 initially). He said the prices fluctuate and we should have booked it when it was $275 despite explaining that the system was down. We then learned that the initial agent CANCELLED HER FLIGHT WITHOUT HER PERMISSION. Knowing the system was down, he still decided to cancel her flight without informing her. After several more hours on the phone, the airline informed me that her flight was cancelled by Travelocity. Travelocity is now requiring a death certificate to get a refund for the flight that THEY CANCELLED WITHOUT PERMISSION. Book through the airline directly or any other travel site. Travelocity is a JOKE. Her sister passed and now she’s out almost $800 due to their errors. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If you have any issues, you will continually be hung up on, redirected, or disconnected. DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY.

It's beyond annoying and unprofessional to contact customer support that can barely speak English, yawning in the middle of a conversation while listening to kitchen dishes, pots and pans noises and car horns in the background. Just an unbelievable experience. Felt as if I was in the middle of some third world country. Highly NOT recommended.

BECAUSE OF TRAVELOCITY - MY DREAM OF SPENDING CHRISTMAS IN PARIS WITH MY FAMILY WAS RUINED

When France prohibited travelers from UK, we had to cancel our flight because we were flying into Heathrow and then to france several days later. Travelocity has consistently told me my credit is $2100 per passenger but the credit they have emailed me show $1700 per passenger credit. Then, I was unable to get to Paris for Christmas like we had planned because no one at Travelocity could access the credit and schedule a flight with it. They kept telling me to contact Virgin. I held on the phone for Virgin for more than 2.5 hours - TWICE! Each time the airline advised me that I had to go through Travelocity as they were my travel agent. So, I had $8500 in credit but could not use it AT ALL. So, my family and i had to cancel our flight to Paris for Christmas. VERY DISSAPOINTING for my two kids and my husband and me. Then, after crying for several hours that my dream trip would not be, i tried to schedule our trip for the summer when my kids were not in school. Travelocity couldn't even help me with that. They said they had to "take this up" and someone would get back to me within 72 hours. Yea - I am not holding my breath. I am sure I have several more days of dealing with their "customer service" in trying to get my airline credits scheduled even when there is 6 months before I want to travel. Bottom line - DO NOT USE TRAVELOCITY FOR FLIGHTS.
