Firstly, Princess Cruises turned out to be quite unreliable. We had six shore excursions planned, but the most important one — viewing the glaciers and icebergs — was canceled without adequate explanation. Another excursion, originally meant to take us to the city of Victoria, was substituted with a visit to a much smaller, unremarkable location, the name of which we don’t even remember. For these cancellations and itinerary changes, we were given just $200 USD per person as compensation — and even that had to be spent onboard. This felt insufficient and disappointing. Secondly, getting access to drinking water onboard was surprisingly inconvenient. Guest cabins were located between decks 6 and 14 (we stayed on deck 8), but the only place with self-serve drinking water was on deck 15. Each time we needed water, we had to carry our own thermos all the way up, and elevator wait times could be long. Alternatively, bottled water (800ml) was available at the bar for over $3 USD each, but the bar staff were not always honest. On three occasions when two bottles were purchased, the family was twice charged for three. Refunds were only issued after complaints were made at the front desk.

Very disappointing.

Very disappointing. This is the 8th cruise we’ve been on (including others from the same group - Royal Caribbean & Celebrity). The ship (Sun Princess) is nice, but unless you are a meat eating American who likes X-factor style singers it isn’t for you. The breakfast consists of around 20 stations, 17 of which seem to serve variations of exactly the same thing (bacon, sausage, beans, egg - and pretty much in the same format - e.g. there are no poached eggs or eggs Florentine.). The buffet for dinner and tea is also poor. Same every day, and not great quality. It's also very bland. There are a couple of token Indian dishes, and even those are bland too. The entertainment is naff singers for the main part. We had 2 dreadful comedians. The only bright spot was the magician (Mike Bones) who was great. You have to pay for shuttles, the sunbeds get nabbed and left reserved all day without Princess doing anything about it, and even the kids sports area has basketballs but no football! It’s like non-Americans and non-meat eaters are second class citizens. Even the sandwich bar often only has a choice of meat sandwiches half of the time. On top of that they force you to carry a tracker, and they state on their app that they are capturing your facial recognition data (no idea why, but it surely is unnecessary and seems a breach of privacy). I asked for a normal card rather than the tracker pendant (which is magnetic and emits EMF) but they said I couldn’t have a card. I was looking forward to better entertainment and much better food, but left disappointed. This is the worse cruise we’ve been on for food, sport, entertainment and privacy. I’m posting the review here, rather than at the end of the cruise, as if my experience with Celebrity is anything to go by, they tend not to bother listening to genuine feedback.

Realice 3 cruceros con Princess, el primero en 2023, a Islas Britanicas en el Regal, 15 dias. el segundo en 2024, trasatlantico en el Sun Princess 17 dias, el ultimo en junio 2025, fiordos, en el Emerald, 17 dias. En el ultimo note una baja muy importante en calidad de espectaculos y comida. Estos 2 itens para los cruceristas son importantes. Los espectaculos con excepcion de una cantante, creo que se llamaba Lynda Evans, mediocres. Un hipnotizador que se veia claramente el engaño y encima lo repitieron. Un coro y musical de los propios tripulantes, imaginense. Y otros por el estilo. La comida. Mucha comida de olla y aspecto regular para abajo, los primeros dias habia salmon, despues lo remplazaron por otros pescados de regular preparacion. Carne poco. Fruta siempre verde. Postres repetitivos. Un dia nos ofrecian croisants del dia anterior. Y varios dias faltaron. Entre los puertos, habia 3, de pequeños pueblitos con muy poco interes. Hubiera sido ideal, sacar por lo menos 2 e incluir 2 dias en Oslo. He viajado en MSC, Norwegian, Celebrity y pense que en Princess habia encontrado mi naviera Premium. No es mas una compañia premium.

We booked the Princess Premier Package…

We booked the Princess Premier Package and for 2 days now they've blocked my stepsons medallion insisting he can only buy non alcoholic drinks. He's 28 years old!! The ship is tired and a lot smaller cabins than other cruiselines we've used. Spent more time at guest services than enjoying the actual cruise

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. We missed our flight this morning due to unforeseen circumstances. We have been on the phone for 10 HOURS trying to get a person to answer our questions. Hold for an hour, the person says, "I can't help you, I'll transfer you." Hold for an hour and a half, same story on and on!!! This company has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They are bad, bad, bad. I'll never book with them again.

Danke Princess Cruises

Es wird ja gerne über negative Erfahrungen berichtet. Deshalb will ich über eine positive Erfahrung mit Princess berichten. Ich habe dort erstmals gebucht. Zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung kostete die Reise 9.230 €. Ein paar Wochen später 7.338 €. Also habe ich Princess um eine Reduzierung des Reisepreises gebeten. Mir war klar, einen Anspruch habe ich nicht. Und siehe da, Princess hat den Preis auf dem Kulanzweg reduziert, Finde ich sehr anständig.

SKY PRINCESS not acceptable

SKY PRINCESS not acceptable, was away on a taster cruise in April for 4 nights (thank god it was only 4nights ) my wife who is coeliac was assured when booking they were really up on that condition not to worry , on our first visit to the buffet the variety of gluten free food was great but the big downside it was sitting right next to food containing gluten and the serving cutlery could be used for any dish CROSS CONTAMINATION ALERT straight away COELIACS BEWARE, we had been told to contact the maitre de and he would assure us everything my wife had would be gluten free and safe, that was a joke ! Ok he got some dishes put together but I’m sorry my wee dog would have turned his nose up to them , as for the main dining room they said she had to order of a gluten free menu the night before but the portion sizes were disgustingly small and they always arrived when the rest of the party had finished their meal also most of the time it was cool or bordering on cold . When anyone was questioned about these problems at no time were any apologies given , my wife was one even given a wrong dish containing gluten but luck may have we spotted it was the wrong one and it was taken away and replaced. The only place in the ship where you get gluten free fries was at the burger counter at the pool so she ended up living off these for the rest of the cruise , in my opinion princess cruises only want your money and are really a very mediocre cruise now . We have sail with them over nine or ten times but will certainly not be going back with them again. P.S just back another cruise wit Celebrity and what a comparison great food voice brilliant and customer service outstanding total opposite from Princess so once again coeliacs beware !!!!!

Ocean not Ready

We talked our friends into cruising for the first time,having used Princess before we chose them,why oh why. Their Ocean ready system has been a disaster,so far necessitating 5 phone calls to their supposed customer support,QR codes appear and disappear,cannot load security pictures,random changes between Green and blue lanes one of which was day before we were due to set sail. All in all have spent at least two hours waiting for agent,would be quicker old way turn up and book in. Our friends have advised first and last time,so thanks Princess. Will look at other options in future.

Horrible customer support

Customer Support is horrible and they have no empathy for loyal customers. I've been on princess cruises more than 10 times. I had a medical emergency a week before my cruise and they were not willing to do anything. No willingness to provide a future cruise credit or work something out. Although I could have purchased insurance and taken steps on my end, the interaction with their customer support left me feeling like I'm not going to be a customer in the future.

Sky Princess Room B502

If you are allocated this room be sure to take ear plugs! There were loud noises in the wall in our room when at sea. After 3 nights we complained to Customer Services who sent a lady to our room, but at the time the ship was not moving, so nothing to hear. When we set sail we contacted CS again and the same lady came back to our room and acknowledged the noise was loud. She said she would get a carpenter to contact us. Nothing happened until at 0300 hours we could not sleep because of the noise so we rang CS yet again. An engineer came to our room, stood in the doorway, made the comment "that's not good" and walked away. Eventually we got to speak to Ines Lucas the Guest Services Officer who was next to useless. He said the noise was due to cabling not being tied down properly! This inside a metal framed wall. He also told my husband to shut up when he tried to explain the danger of this issue. He said they could not allocate us another room as the ship was full. He offered compensation against another cruise but we rejected that as we never plan to cruise with this company again. We asked for payment to be credited to our bank account, but he was unable to do this. He told us to contact the company on our return as they would have all the details of our problem on email. We contacted the CEO who has never bothered to reply. We received a general email stating the volume of noise in the room is a personal choice. What is very loud to one person may not be a problem to another. This was so loud it could not be ignored. The lack of sleep impacted the following days when we were on trips and not able to take full advantage of the areas we visited.

Princess Cruise support is a company is another JOKE

This company, Princess Cruises - what a JOKE. Billion dollar company that CANNOT even fix a small problem in 30 days - to allow a person to register for the cruise they paid 10K for. Princess - YOU"RE HORRIBLE!!!!!! You send me something saying to Register and get my "medallion" - but then you won't add the medallion - ONLY a free lanyard. Added Medallion for 2 people but not the third. But no even Princess KNOWS WHY!!!! You support team is totally unhelpful and the "engineering team," they say it was escalated to was supposed to fix it in 3 days. It's now been 10 days and NOT FIXED!

Cruise OK, CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE

Cruise was ok - geared toward ages 60+ - staff was super friendly. However, once cruise was over we were charged erroneously for several items and could not get customer service to help. Princess cancelled an excursion and did not credit our account and we also paid for the princess plus package and then was double charged for beverages and gratuity. I have tried calling and emailing to no avail. If you do the Alaskan cruise be sure to check your bill BEFORE you leave the ship - horrible call center and help afterwards! We are owed $450.

I have been trying to book a cruise for…

I have been trying to book a cruise for 2 days now. Their system crashed yesterday & they were going to call me back-no call back. Finally got through again & was sent 2 confirmation emails for 2 different cruises??? I was only booking one. Today I called about the room they gave me & after waiting over 1/2 hour the woman I was speaking to lost the call. This is pathetic & I don’t know if anyone there cares!! Princess has definitely gone down hill.

We took our 6th Princess Cruise…

We took our 6th Princess Cruise recently and it will be our last. We had requested a balcony room and although we did get a balcony, it was in the very end of the ship. Very noisy and peeling paint on our balcony. Never again
