Firstly, Princess Cruises turned out to be quite unreliable. We had six shore excursions planned, but the most important one — viewing the glaciers and icebergs — was canceled without adequate explanation. Another excursion, originally meant to take us to the city of Victoria, was substituted with a visit to a much smaller, unremarkable location, the name of which we don’t even remember. For these cancellations and itinerary changes, we were given just $200 USD per person as compensation — and even that had to be spent onboard. This felt insufficient and disappointing. Secondly, getting access to drinking water onboard was surprisingly inconvenient. Guest cabins were located between decks 6 and 14 (we stayed on deck 8), but the only place with self-serve drinking water was on deck 15. Each time we needed water, we had to carry our own thermos all the way up, and elevator wait times could be long. Alternatively, bottled water (800ml) was available at the bar for over $3 USD each, but the bar staff were not always honest. On three occasions when two bottles were purchased, the family was twice charged for three. Refunds were only issued after complaints were made at the front desk.

Very disappointing.

Very disappointing. This is the 8th cruise we’ve been on (including others from the same group - Royal Caribbean & Celebrity). The ship (Sun Princess) is nice, but unless you are a meat eating American who likes X-factor style singers it isn’t for you. The breakfast consists of around 20 stations, 17 of which seem to serve variations of exactly the same thing (bacon, sausage, beans, egg - and pretty much in the same format - e.g. there are no poached eggs or eggs Florentine.). The buffet for dinner and tea is also poor. Same every day, and not great quality. It's also very bland. There are a couple of token Indian dishes, and even those are bland too. The entertainment is naff singers for the main part. We had 2 dreadful comedians. The only bright spot was the magician (Mike Bones) who was great. You have to pay for shuttles, the sunbeds get nabbed and left reserved all day without Princess doing anything about it, and even the kids sports area has basketballs but no football! It’s like non-Americans and non-meat eaters are second class citizens. Even the sandwich bar often only has a choice of meat sandwiches half of the time. On top of that they force you to carry a tracker, and they state on their app that they are capturing your facial recognition data (no idea why, but it surely is unnecessary and seems a breach of privacy). I asked for a normal card rather than the tracker pendant (which is magnetic and emits EMF) but they said I couldn’t have a card. I was looking forward to better entertainment and much better food, but left disappointed. This is the worse cruise we’ve been on for food, sport, entertainment and privacy. I’m posting the review here, rather than at the end of the cruise, as if my experience with Celebrity is anything to go by, they tend not to bother listening to genuine feedback.

Realice 3 cruceros con Princess, el primero en 2023, a Islas Britanicas en el Regal, 15 dias. el segundo en 2024, trasatlantico en el Sun Princess 17 dias, el ultimo en junio 2025, fiordos, en el Emerald, 17 dias. En el ultimo note una baja muy importante en calidad de espectaculos y comida. Estos 2 itens para los cruceristas son importantes. Los espectaculos con excepcion de una cantante, creo que se llamaba Lynda Evans, mediocres. Un hipnotizador que se veia claramente el engaño y encima lo repitieron. Un coro y musical de los propios tripulantes, imaginense. Y otros por el estilo. La comida. Mucha comida de olla y aspecto regular para abajo, los primeros dias habia salmon, despues lo remplazaron por otros pescados de regular preparacion. Carne poco. Fruta siempre verde. Postres repetitivos. Un dia nos ofrecian croisants del dia anterior. Y varios dias faltaron. Entre los puertos, habia 3, de pequeños pueblitos con muy poco interes. Hubiera sido ideal, sacar por lo menos 2 e incluir 2 dias en Oslo. He viajado en MSC, Norwegian, Celebrity y pense que en Princess habia encontrado mi naviera Premium. No es mas una compañia premium.

We booked the Princess Premier Package…

We booked the Princess Premier Package and for 2 days now they've blocked my stepsons medallion insisting he can only buy non alcoholic drinks. He's 28 years old!! The ship is tired and a lot smaller cabins than other cruiselines we've used. Spent more time at guest services than enjoying the actual cruise

On hold for 45 minutes

On hold for 45 minutes, Computer system down, after working through this with customer service rep I was hung up on. THE WORST SYTEM EVER! The app is also terrible. I go from green lane to blue lane. I feel like no one in the call center has any idea what they are doing they only read from a script.

Poor response to emails

Poor response to emails I was sent an email in regards to upgrading my cabin on Sky Princess I sent an email back & no reply. Why send emails when you aren't going to reply????? I hope this poor communication won't reflect on the holiday we have booked

Choose another line as this lot are unprofessional and or dishonest

Live chat does not work. Wait ages on the phone to eventually get through to the centre abroad. Three times they assured me they had fixed a problem which persisted. Constant problems with app onshore and onboard. On the cruise three ports cancelled due to bad weather and no alternatives which made the trip boring and a huge disappointment. Asked for a letter outlining the missed ports so I can make an insurance claim. Got one after 4 phonecalls and 4 emails. Speciality dining incredibly average and the limited entertainment was amateur. Have contacted twice now about refund of monies for cancelled trips which was promised in 7 days of debark. Got it a month late. Very unfair. Spent much of yesterday being sent from pillar to post to be told staff on ship in error or deliberately misleading passengers on this one. Guest Services very elusive. Amazing how long I waited on hold or how many times I was cut off. Incredibly someone late yesterday phoned my 85 year old mum to enquire if I was going to book again with PC. What it has to do with her I do not know, how they got her number is a mystery and I am angry she was distressed by such a call. All in all a huge waste of time and money and a huge let down especially as this was my wifes last holiday. Our first and last cruise. Pre cruise, cruise and post cruise negative experiences. Unprofessional maybe even deliberately dishonest almost at every turn. Would suggest another cruise line as this one has let us down. Feel I have no alternative but to make a formal complaint involving Trading Standards, ABTA and the press.

No idea how they got hold of my info

If i could give this company a zero star, I would. First of all they have been sending me emails, which I have no idea how they got hold of my email address. I told them I haven't been looking for a cruise and have no intentions of ever booking one, and they sent me an email back saying they will help me when I'm ready. At this point I'm annoyed. I replied and told them to leave me alone. This was on the 1st June 2023. Today in the post (6th june) I receive a brochure in the post, so now they've some how managed to find my home address. My blood is now boiling as I've no idea how they're getting hold of my personal info. If I receive any further post or emails again, I'll make sure this pathetic company is reported. Update: they said they have my details due to signing up on their website, which is BS because I have never been on their website, nor heard of them until they contacted me.

The call center comes from the…

The call center comes from the Philippines and most of the call center agents there have NO idea what cruising is all about. They give false info and fake promises. They cannot tell the difference between embarkation and excursion and they speak their language with a lot of horn blowing trumpet emulating their status as the only people who can solve your cruising questions. They don't know what a stateroom category is, mid-ship or aft and cruising people pay Princess to pay them! They should not be given this kind of a job where they advise guests on cruising questions when they haven't cruised themselves. There is no problem from agents from Florida but there's a great amount of inefficiency with Philippines agent. These agents are dishonest. They forbid you to tape their conversation; they give fake names; they don't tell their agent number and they definitely have no accountability; they cuss and swear in their language and call Canadians stupid and disgusting for calling them repeatedly. Princess, stop providing jobs for them because you will lose cruisers.

Trying to complete the medallion ocean…

Trying to complete the medallion ocean ready app was a nightmare.I will be travelling with my sister so i filled in my detail's fine.Then when my sister tried to fill her detail's my detail's were in her app.So because my detail's were there .the app would'nt let her detail's in.So rang princess cruise line for help.The lady we spoke to told us not to worry.As she correct my sister's app which she did with my sister's detail's. Whicn she did but then her detail's were in my app.Tried to ring back but after 50min's ringing and several more call's no answer tried the call back but no-one came back to me.Do'nt think i will be booking again with princess cruise's.

Put off The Sky Princess at Lerwick with no help.…

I was taken off of The Sky Princess along with two other passengers on Emergency Medical Grounds. – We were in The North Sea which was very choppy with high winds and we were winched off by Coastguard Helicopter. This risk alone was not consistent with the actual risk to any of us from our medical matters. We were taken to Lerwick Hospital which is a tiny hospital On the Shetland Island. – This was the first anomaly in the Ship’s Doctor’s decision to remove us, as we all apparently needed a different emergency Specialist urgently. – Lerwick Hospital had one A&E Doctor on duty with no specialists available. The Ship’s Doctor had run up a bill in my own case of approx. $3,000.00USD treating me for an infection in a hip replacement. I had been on an intravenous antibiotic drip three times a day! These took half an hour each time, but I was always told that the doctor wanted to see me afterwards. – He was always busy or unavailable which meant it was a two to two- and half-hour visit to the medical centre most times! – He told me that blood that taken on board the ship indicated a possible infection. He stated that I needed to have scans and to see an Orthopedic Surgeon urgently. The A&E Doctor at Lerwick looked at all of the notes, records and test results supplied by the ship’s doctor and told me that nothing in the notes or test results suggested that I had any infection. They also told me that there was absolutely no justification for putting me on the amount and type of antibiotics that the ship’s doctor had given to me. The A&E Doctor told me that I had a muscle strain! I did not need any scans, or to see an Orthopaedic Consultant! Additionally, there was no justification for removing me from the ship. – In fact, had the ship’s doctor been right in his diagnosis and I did indeed need to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon, we were only three days from Southampton (and the end of the cruise and home) which is one of the main UK Centres for Orthopedics. The other two gentleman were also seen by the Lerwick A&E Doctor and likewise told that they were not in need of emergency treatment. We were then left to our own devices to make our way home with no help from Princess Cruises whatsoever. Princess Cruises had however supplied our wives (still on the ship), though not us, with Port Agent Details that were supposedly going to help us. In fact, we were each given an envelope containing duplicate medical notes addressed to ‘Port Agents.’ When I phoned these local agents, they were in Southampton and confirmed they would not be giving us any assistance to get home. – Princess ‘Family Services’ then made contact with all three of us and likewise confirmed that they would not be providing us with any help at all! #SkyPrincess #PrincessCruises

Multiple issues

Multiple issues: confused boarding, only honored Princess Plus package that we had booked after we complained; fancy electronic door locks locked us out of stateroom for 1.5 hours in 1st morning almost made us miss 1st shore excursion. But inexcusable error was not telling us until after we had boarded that they had planned to confiscate our passports! We are now essentially being held as prisoners onboard, unable to freely travel since Princess has taken our passports! They knew well ahead of time they were planning to do this, but they did not inform us! Beware!

Horrible cruise

Horrible cruise, service, food, logistics are all broken! Paid for transfer from ship to airport, no busses showed up waited two hours in confusing lines with no accurate or useful information, when we realized we were not going to make our flight (5 1/2) hours after arrival time, hired a town car, still did not make our flight, now we are trying to make a claim to princess travel insurance for the delay and can not get any response from princess cruises with required documentation for claim. Never again!!!

Be very careful using the medical Service in Spa

Be very careful using the medical section Botox etc in the spa service. Had a very bad expensive experience. eyes still puffy. Done April 11 now May17. Don’t be sucked in. Coral Princess should be more careful about this service. Noelle Smith
