Singapore Air-No longer top example!

To be honest, their service AT COUNTER & IN THE PLANE has always been great! However, customer service before/after purchase is fully LACKING! It was almost impossible to find a local ph # or live person to explain my problem in purchasing tickets via their website. Spent more than 1 1/2 hrs trying to resolve it with the only option available to me: slow texting “live person”. No solution; No practical suggestions; Absolutely no help to me problem, let alone sympathetic to my dilemma! Worse yet? Before I could conclude, abruptly disconnected from me. I was never rude, nor demanding. But what a bitter disappointment for what used to be a high quality service-oriented company! I can no longer recommend them to my friends! Very sad! My question(s)..? Never resolved. [additional note: I am very sad to just recently realize, from many many many other reviews, that Singapore Airlines has had this customer service/lack of availability “problem” for a while now! What a shame. Such wonderful service while flying, but ‘running the company in the ground’ by NOT dealing with, or being available to its customers.

Equipaje mal manejado

Durante un transbordo de esta compañía en Singapur (veníamos de Manila) nuestro equipaje no fue transferido al vuelo a Barcelona. Nos informaron de esto en Barcelona. Luego tuvimos que comunicar nosotros mismos este hecho a "Lost and Found" en Barcelona. Así que nos cuesta tiempo después de tantas horas de vuelo. La maleta, "perdida" debido a una entrega incorrecta por parte de Singapore Airlines, debía ser entregada en nuestro domicilio el domingo 23 de marzo de 2025. Vale, claro que no teníamos elección. Ese domingo nos entregaron la maleta en el aeropuerto de Alicante y nos pidieron que la recogiéramos nosotros mismos. La entrega a domicilio estaba fuera de cuestión. No tienen contrato para esto con Singapore Airlines. Por supuesto que nos negamos y ahora el problema es nuestro. No recogeremos la maleta nosotros mismos, porque Singapore Airlines ha indicado por escrito que entregará la maleta en su domicilio. Pero se niegan a hacerlo. Ahora investigaremos cómo podemos resolver esto legalmente. Ya veremos cómo resulta, pero volar con Singapore Airlines no sólo nos cuesta un montón de horas de vuelo y dinero, sino que esta miseria nos cuesta horas de trámites porque ellos aparentemente no se dan cuenta de que es su problema. No hemos hecho nada malo. Tras casi una hora llamando y charlando, me indicaron que la maleta sería entregada en casa y efectivamente, al cabo de 3 días la maleta fue entregada.

Volo kuala lumpur Singapore e Singapore Roma...il primo 1 ora e mezza di ritardo il secondo 3 ore di ritardo...oltretutto di notte...ho dovuto dormire sul pavimento.doveva partite all1.20...siamo partiti alle 5.. Singapore airlines betaald niet terug.

Met Sigapore Airlines hadden mijn vrouw en ik een retourvlucht Amsterdam-Manilla, economy class, geboekt. Heen 1/2 januari, terug 1/2 maart. In 15 jaar tijd was dit de 10e vlucht met SA naar het verre oosten. Eind januari werd ik erg ziek en na een week ziekenhuis met onderzoeken bleek ik darmkanker te hebben. Via SA vroeg ik om een terugvlucht op 4 februari in business class. Dat kon met een bijbetaling van € 5.500. Via Emirates konden we business class op 4 februari voor € 3.500 vliegen, dit hebben we dus geboekt en ik heb SA gevraagd om een terugbetaling voor de retourvlucht van 1/2 maart. Ik kreeg bericht dat ik totaal € 180 terug zou krijgen (we hadden voor de totale vlucht in augustus 2024 € 2.350 betaald) en dat de terugbetaling 6-8 weken zou duren. Deze week, na 6,5 week wachten op betaling, kreeg ik een nieuw bericht dat het nog eens extra 6-8 weken zou duren voordat de bank het geld over kon maken. Als je boekt betaal je meteen, als je wat terugkrijgt laten ze je eindeloos wachten. NOOIT GEEN SINGAPORE AIRLINES MEER!!!

Ne voyagez surtout pas par Singapore airlines! Nous devions partir en famille mi-avril en Thaïlande vol retour annulé, Singapore airlines me propose un retour du futur je préfère donc annuler ! Cela fait 3 mois que j'attends mes sous 2500 € ! ils ne savent que se rejeter la balle edreams (l'agence par laquelle je suis passé) me disent qu'ils attendent l'accord de Singapore airlines et Singapore airlines me disent qu'ils ont donné leur accord à 2 reprises ! ha ouiiiiiii et biensur c'est moi la cliente lésée qui doit les contacter l'un et l'autre ! pfffffffff ils st surtout bien formés pour endormir le client ! Ce que vs faites vs retombera dessus tôt ou tard ! Justice sera rendu ! Je veux mon argent ! 6MQB85

I am booked to fly out next month and…

I am booked to fly out next month and on trying to look at seat bookings (l have booked 3, need 4) but on line tells me there are changes and l need to contact the airline. Has anyone tried to speak to anyone? Well, don't bother. The phone numbers are wrong, the "Talk chat" is crap, can't get any further with manage my booking. Now in a state of mild panic as l can't speak to anyone. I have received the changes of flight numbers, that's OK, but again, looking on line, I'm just going to Singapore and back home. What about the Australia bit? have you forgotten that? I have printed off my tickets, have the new numbers but l wanted to confirm the rest. I love flying Singapore airlines, was lucky to get a great flight, now l'm wondering. Please, please put an up to date phone number on the internet.

🚨 Singapore Airlines’ Rebooking System is a Nightmare! 🚨 I had the worst experience rebooking a flight with Singapore Airlines—their system is an absolute mess. Here’s what happened: 1️⃣ My rebooking was mysteriously canceled after being confirmed via the app—without any explanation! 2️⃣ No phone call, no warning. They only sent an email (which can easily be missed). A responsible airline would at least call the passenger! 3️⃣ Their outdated phone system wasted 2.5 HOURS of my time just to rebook, costing me nearly $800 in call charges. Completely unacceptable in 2025! 4️⃣ ZERO compensation. No apologies, no refund for the $800 spent fixing their mess. Singapore Airlines used to be known for top-tier service, but this is beyond disappointing. How can an airline of this caliber treat its passengers like this?

Beware using this airline

Beware using this airline. They changed the location airport for my connecting flight while I was on the first leg saying I wouldn't make the second only for me to hear they were still calling the gate when I arrived. I was in a line of others who had the same thing. I then ended up at an airport I didn't book and had to make my way to the airport I was meant to be going to at my own expense. Never again!!!

It is always safe to fly on Singapore Airlines.

Whenever we want to go for holiday, we ensure to fly by Singapore Airlines because it has a good reputation. Stewardess or Flight Attendants are mannered, are polite and they stand on their values. Thank you flight attendants. We are proud of you.

Booked Business class but it didn't exist on the first leg of our journey

I booked Business class for a return flight from Phuket to London via Singapore, a special treat for my wife and I returning from our honeymoon. At the time of booking, I was advised in writing by Singapore Airlines that the first leg of the journey would be with their low cost airline Scoot but that we would still have priority check in, wide seats with extra legroom, complimentary seat selection and a hot meal. In the event, there were none of these upgraded features available to us. It was just a bog standard economy class-only flight with no frills. When we asked to use the Business class lounge at Phuket before boarding the flight, they politely laughed in our faces when they saw our boarding cards for the Scoot flight and told us to go away. I do acknowledge that the second leg of the journey from Singapore to London was exactly as it should have been and that was great. However, having contacted Singapore Airlines to complain about the issues with the Scoot flight and having received no acknowledgement whatsoever, I felt it was time to give them a poor review on here. There is always a good selection of airlines to choose from for a holiday to the Far East. I won't be using Singapore Airlines again.

Schade!

Schade!! Früher war das mal eine der besten Airlines. Das Essen auf unserem Flug nach Neuseeland war eine einzige Katastrophe! Wenigstens waren die einzelnen Flüge einigermaßen pünktlich. Seit 3 Tagen versuche ich eine Beschädigung des Reisegepäcks zu melden. Ein Versand des Formulars ist nicht möglich, selbst das Beschwerdeformular wird nicht verschickt. Eine andere Form der Kontaktaufnahme ist nicht möglich!? Einfach nur noch ein Witz diese Airline! Nie wieder!!!!

Poor Rescheduling Process – Feels Like a Cash Grab

I tried to reschedule my departure more than three days in advance, but the only option was to do it manually via email or an expensive phone call. After multiple failed attempts, customer support finally responded—just two hours before my original departure. To make matters worse, their first response was that they couldn’t look up my booking, so I had to send all my details again. By the time they finally provided a rescheduling option, the new ticket price had increased 2-3 times compared to what I would have paid if I had simply booked a new ticket instead of requesting a change. Why don’t they offer a chat or an automated system like almost every other airline? It feels like they intentionally make the process difficult to maximize profits. A short-term gain at the cost of losing first-time customers.

Poor experience to Thailand and back

Poor experience to Thailand and back. On arrival last week my luggage was severely delayed after being put on the wrong flight. I incurred extra costs for my transfer and was delayed in my holiday experience because of this! Terrible! I need compensation! Furthermore, just now today on SQ318 I was treated badly by staff after disputing a situation with a passenger in front of me. I was ignored when asking for drinks, I watched others get their meal and drinks before me. I was done wrong initially by the other passenger who rudely refused to compromise the reclining of his chair. Instead, I was asked to move seats with an unpreferred monitor! I chose my seat for a reason! Completely disappointed by the service. I was left fully distraught! A lady in green attire different from the other cabin crew females came up to me with a smirk on her face and address me as if the issue was mine, I never called her it was the passenger in front, so she should’ve dealt with him not me! Completely a direct attack which I will be taking further. I would like to specifically report the air hostess in green, different from the rest of the cabin crew for directly disrespecting me. And to be compensated for a terrible experience immediately

Singapore Airlines Customer Services Booking Office

I had an extremely negative experience with the Singapore Airlines booking office. The staff were unhelpful, misinformed, and even dishonest during my interaction. Instead of providing clear guidance, they gave conflicting information and seemed unaware of basic booking procedures. Worse still, I caught them outright lying about policies, which is completely unacceptable for a premium airline. I have never dealt with anything like this in my life it was a horrendous experience . As a customer, I expect professionalism, honesty, and competence—especially from a carrier of Singapore Airlines’ reputation. This experience has severely damaged my trust in the airline, and unless significant improvements are made, I will reconsider choosing Singapore Airlines in the future. I hope Singapore Airlines takes this feedback seriously and addresses staff training and accountability to ensure this does not happen to other customers.

Trying to book seats together but cannot get past motorcycle, stairs, bridges etc Complete utter disaster. Worst company ever will never travel with them on any flight they are involved in.

A Generous 3 Stars

Each time I have travelled with Singapore Airlines the actual journey itself would be worth 5 stars. Unfortunately since the booking process is only 1 star at best 3 stars overall is being generous. Each time there has always been a problem with the booking that range from prebooked seats being reallocated without reason, IT problems, issue over refunds, issues with points etc ... Although problems can always happen the poor and off-hand response from Customer Support almost every time just reinforces the negative experience. I've had to chase and chase for refunds over enforced seat and flight changes, flights where points were unable to be awarded and therefore lost because I wasn't informed and most recently where I couldn't use both my wife's and my own points on a joint booking. A call to the Call Centre simply confirmed that this can't be done and I should have made two separate bookings - for the same flight - REALLY ! - Silly Me. There seems to be no comprehension of the customers point of view - I have other examples. A shame because the actual flight has always been good.
