What a great experience at the Chicago ohare airport location! Kesha was nothing but smiles and made the process seem effortless. If I had to rent again I would definitely choose Routes and I would hope to see Kesha again!

Worst ever in my life! Only go to Routes if you want to be humiliated and brutally ripped off! Don’t be as naive as I was, thinking that those awful review are wrong. It is actually worse than what you can read in reviews! I booked a car via Economy Booking for 198 USD - bought ALL insurances, offered with this booking. When I arrived with family (Chicago, ORD) I was told that I need to buy additional insurance ONLY form them for nearly 260 USD! I proposed to bring a third party insurance, but Gab (name given by other Routes employee) said I should cancel (impossible - by their rules there is no cancellation!!) and walk away(!!) as he is not going to serve me!!! This was worst moment ever while renting in my life… Other employee showed me the small print (yes, they did mention about additional insurance in the voucher they sent AFTER the booking was made) and said if I don’t like their practices I should go to other big name rentals. I ended up paying more than double and way more than I would pay at Avis/Hertz or others… This whole business is built on misleading customers, cornering them and then abusing the situation (kids waiting, no cancellation, you feel humiliated). Great rental agency for masochist type of customers!

I booked and paid in advance through EXPEDIA, and, when I showed up at the Routes office near the Calgary airport, they refused to give me the vehicle alleging that I needed "an international driver's license" (they had not expressed such request before that moment). I had to go to AVIS to get a vehicle (no international license needed, just my regular license from Sonora, Mexico). I got back home after our vacation in the Canadian Rockies, contacted EXPEDIA seeking a full refund, and EXPEDIA got back to me saying that Routes was refusing to return the money. NEEDLESS TO SAY, this has been a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE that speaks for itself. My name is Joaquín Cabrera.

I am beyond frustrated with this company. Not only did they lie about the fuel amount upon pickup but they pressured me into getting more insurance. My family and I picked the vehicle up in Orlando, Florida. I had already purchased insurance, but the man said it wasn’t on the account. He proceeded to say, I needed this insurance to leave with the car. It was around $280 for this. Then getting all the kiddos and luggage into the car, I failed to look at the fuel gage right away. I pulled out of there and 5 minutes into our drive, I noticed the fuel was on E. I quickly called the generic number for Routes. The man said to take a picture and then when bringing the car back, show it to them. That is just what I did. We returned it 4 days later with the same amount of fuel. I explained the situation to the man and showed the picture. He said, it’ll get taken care of. Well…. A few days later, $127 gets pulled out of account for gas. They stated it was on full! I have the date/time on my picture. Sent it to them and they still will not refund me. It’s been three weeks. Very ashamed of them for taking advantage of me. Awful company!!!
Sal pick us from the airport and we very nice and friendly. When we got to where are car was parked he took care of the paper work got are keys and told us where the car was so we did not have to stand in the line that the people were renting cars in. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Jovante F. in Chicago was Amazing. He has great customer service skills. He treated my son and I great after we flew in from Florida, and was tired. He was very helpful. Made a reservation through bookings.com for Denver airport. when reached for pickup told that reservation does not exist despite showing the confirmation email. In addition, learned that they do not rent to Colorado residents, per regulations. No one ever mentioned that before during the reservation process. To add to the injury, they charged me ~$60 USD for not showing up to pick up. Reached out to dispute the charge and was told that the since I did not show up for pickup they charged as per policy. The above review was submitted after working with customer support and they were of no help.
