I have been renting cars for years. I have never experienced anything like Routes. 90 minute wait to get to the counter. 15 minutes to process getting a car. They didn’t have the car I booked. They charged me $335 more because I wasn’t aware I needed to show them my Allstate car insurance. I booked thru a 3rd party, Holiday cars, who didn’t tell me about the insurance. Absolutely a terrible experience.

I had a horrible experience with this rental car company. I booked it through a third party (Holidaycars). Neither Holidaycars nor Routes told me you needed to show paperwork at the counter that I was fully insured. I was not properly informed. I brought no insurance information from Allstate. I needed to pay another $350 to insure my rental car or five days in order to obtain the automobile...twice the amount I paid Holidaycars. Plus, I had to wait in line for 90 minutes to then find out I had to pay for the Routes insurance. NEVER WORK WITH ROUTES OR HOLIDAY CARS. Routes has cheaper rentals, but they make a lot of their money by screwing people like me that don't have proper insurance documentation.
