Routes Car Rental

I rented a card in Calgary, I precised to the guy that I don’t want the insurance (because my bank’s credit card covers me), he told ok so you will just take what is mandatory. I trust him and put my initial where he asked. Then he asked for the bank card imprint and made me make the payment. It's a scam, Manipulation!!!!! It’s not gonna end like that

I tried for 3 hours yesterday to cancel the reservation as my husband went into the hospital. Your online was not convient and your phone line was to busy to wait all day.

Great price and easy booking. I still have to get there and use the car and their fleet but so far so good.

Forced extra insurance despite credit card coverage, inaccurate damage reports that I had to fight, impossible to get through on the phone to talk to anyone to clarify their damage report was wrong, and then a $53 admin fee on top of a toll lane charge. I will never rent from this company again.

My flight from NYC to Atl was delayed twice and this company is trying to steal my money by saying I’m unable to rent a vehicle because I arrived 24 later than I was suppose too instead of helping the transition go a little smoother. They also said I’m unable to receive a refund of $212 for my rental vehicle.

This car rental not accept G2 driver but information about this policy is hidden, they won’t mention you with the whole process on the website. By the way same as non-refundable, so I prepaid hundred dollars for nothing. LOSE TIME LOSE MONEY. The assistants there are helpful.

If you are flying into Chicago O’Hare and driving to Indiana-Buyer beware, find another car rental agency. If you declare you are going out of state, hidden, high fees are charged. We have rented with Routes before and never charged this. They recently started this policy and will no longer get my business.

I can only book my rental under a week, can u extend my reservation over two weeks. My next booking will be 15 - 29 Sept in Vancouver airport please let me know asap

This rental agency is a complete nightmare if you are looking for a timely and smooth rental experience. For those landing at Toronto Pearson Airport in Terminal 3 you must take the train to Terminal 1. Then use the phone to call a Routes shuttle. Once picked up they take you off site. They will not let you take your rental until you have FULL PROOF OF INSURANCE. If you CAN NOT provide this, (they don't take your word) then you can not rent from them. Even though you know you have coverage through your personal insurance, you must provide proof! DO NOT buy ANY FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE sold online, IT'S A SCAM. The insurance sold online does not cover you even though it states FULL COVERAGE. It does not cover you for COLLISION which is required by CANADIAN LAW. Thus, you will need to purchase it from ROUTES at $21 or more per day in addition to your rental. If you do have insurance they will hassle you for proof! Now also pay attention to the business hours of ROUTES and your flight time. For instance, if your flight departure is 7 am ROUTES does not open until 8am and will not shuttle you to Pearson Airport so you must arrange alternative transportation at a cost to you for using their service. Their advertising of "pick up" Pearson Airport is totally misleading. You WILL NOT be getting your car at Pearson. Routes is offsite and for the time sensitive traveler you may want to consider this. GOOD LUCK with your rental but if it were up to me, I would stick to an actual pick up at Toronto Pearson. You do not have to worry about a thing and its hassle free.

Christian helped to rectify error with Adam Vacations. My reservation through them was canceled. No reason given and certainly not canceled by me especially since I was there to pick up vehicle. Evidently thus happens often with that company. We rented vehicle direct with Christians assistance through Routes car rental. Got better vehicle and at a better price!
