Beware of Routes Rental Car – It's a Scam!** I had a terrible experience with Routes Rental Car, and I strongly urge others to avoid them. They lure you in with low rates, but the reality is far worse. After arriving, we were forced to wait for *hours just for the shuttle* to their *off-airport location. Once there, you're boxed in with hidden charges for mileage, insurance, and tolls, and they also hold a **$500 deposit* on top of everything! The final cost ends up being way higher than expected. If you're already stuck with a reservation, I highly recommend contacting your bank to dispute the charges. You're much better off going with an *on-airport rental service—they’re far more convenient, transparent, and often cheaper in the end. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. **Don’t fall for their scam!*

Facility closes before my delayed flight arrives. I am 3 days away from my reservation and trying to cancel. The website doesn't allow me to cancel. I called the number provided, after 15 min on hold, they would not let me cancel my reservation nor speak to a supervisor. Said my only option is to email customer care to ask to cancel my reservation.

I was assisted my a lady called Misty. She was very polite and professional. She provided an outstanding customer service. She is a ver sweet and lovely lady.

Preston was very helpful and knowledgeable. The company is small and they don't have a plethora of cars, but everyone I encountered was very friendly and willing to help. Do be advised that this company is not located in the airport rental car center! And they do not rent to Georgia residents.

Insurance scam: they made me pay for the insurance even though I made it clear that I didn't want to take out the insurance. After writing to customer service, I'm now told that I paid the insurance because I refused to provide proof that I was covered by my credit card insurance, which is totally false, it was never asked for. A pack of lies. They want to sell their insurance, so they make up stories and manipulate their customers to get their way. It's shameful!

Vehicle was a jeep with over 50,000 miles on it. A piece of metal, that was double sided taped on, fell off. They wanted to charge me for it. Then they tried to hit me with a cross state border fee of $200. The car rental was $250. Crossing from Chicago into Wisconsin. I don't know how they stay in business. I did a chargeback on this fee with my credit card company and was successful.

Terrible. Won’t refund after booking by mistake. Hard to get a hold of. Beware !!!! . I’ve tried to speak to customers service numerous times but to no avail. The worst customer service’ I can understand a no refund policy after a certain period of time , but I tried canceling like an hour after a mistakenly making a reservation, and was denied a refund. Wow , talk about customer service. What customer service?!! This company is really just “TERRIBLE”!!

Beware do not rent from this company they scam you out, Punta Cana. I made a reservation via Priceline amount to be paid was $271 and change, I confirmed an early morning (4 am) pick up and called in to confirm, upon arrival I called for shuttle pick up and I was told it’s not available and I need to get to my hotel and come after 9 am which I strongly rejected and after going back and forth they sent someone to pick me up. At the counter of course they try to sell you additional insurance and services which I declined but after giving me all the BS story I decided to go ahead and add extra insurance which brought my total to $425, I agreed and paid just wanted to get to my hotel. They brought the car it was dirty back seat floor had beach sand paper receipts here and there and most important the vehicle had body damage all over the right side which I detected with my phone flash light and pointed it out to the guy who knew about all the damages but didn’t bring it out, he took pictures I took pictures and went on my way. Delivered the car as agreed just for the record we barely used it we were staying (me and my wife) at a an all inclusive resort so we really didn’t went out much we made litterly 3 trips and none of them was to any beach, now I get a $258 cleaning charge which I made sure we didn’t leave not a single piece of paper, receipt or any bottle of water This is a rip off called them to complain no luck getting any answers or even a chance to speak to someone in charge
