Worst customer service in the history of customer service.
I recently used a pre-paid gift card to purchase art supplies online to send to a child I know in another state who just lost his mother. I spent 87.00 for a few things, paid with the card and the order was IMMEDIATELY cancelled. I contacted customer service after seeing that the card was indeed debitted for the purchase. I was told they had no idea why the order was cancelled, and that I’d have to file a claim for receiving the money they’d taken. I asked to simply have the order re-submitted so that the kid could at least get the materials I wanted to send. No one would apply the credit to fulfill the order. In the past three days I have spent over five hours on michaels chat lines, also spoken with several people finally through the 1-800 number. NO ONE WILL HELP ME PROCESS THE ORDER, NOR REFUND MY MONEY.
Last conversation I had on the phone after being on hold for about 45 minutes, I was abruptly hung up on.
This company is absolute garbage. I have never experienced this kind of thing from such a large nationally recognized company. They are truly awful, I will never buy in store, nor online and will MAKE SURE THAT EVERY PERSON I KNOW WILL NEVER PUT THEIR MONEY INTO THIS COMPANY. They are absolutely horrid in their disregard for their customers. I now am out almost $90, the kid I was trying to help with art materials is left in limbo waiting for art supplies that will never arrive, to add to the fact that his mother is never coming back.
I would write or call the company again if I thought it would change things, unfortunately I see any further action as futile. Absolute horse poop company. I WILL NOW GLADLY SPEND MORE WITH A REPUTABLE ART SUPPLY COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT PEOPLE. MICHAELS CAN SUCK IT.
