This really should be no stars

This really should be no stars. It is unbelievable to me that such a huge company has the poorest customer service. I ordered a large order for a company. I received the wrong items and had to set up a pick-up to have them sent back. I have yet to receive a refund. Does anyone know the best way to go further with this? They are completely ignoring the issue and at this point have stolen $960 from me. I have to go through our company to take the matter into legal hands. Please don't order anything online from Michaels!! This has taken two months now and is still unresolved.

Transferring my order

When making a order I some how got confused and they had me picking up the order in Albany. I have been trying to transfer the order to Fairmont commons store in Syracuse NY or have it delivered I get some of the order in Syracuse but still wondering about the rest thanks

Who ships large bows in an envelope????? Why Michaels, of course!!!

I purchased 5 large 20" bows for Christmas wreaths online from Michaels.com. They were packed in an ENVELOPE and my mail carrier shoved them into a 3" high x 12" long individual mail box at a community cluster mailbox along with my mail and 2 magazines. You can imagine the condition of the bows. They were pretty much destroyed. Upon writing the same review their website it was rejected. I guess they only accept positive reviews and censor those with disappointing shopping experiences.

Terrible experience with Michaels…

Terrible experience with Michaels online! I have been on chat with them 2 different nights. I placed a substantial order of about 400.00. On the same day I placed my order with them I made a number of other orders. All those items have already been received or having tracking showing delivered tomorrow. This order from Michaels has not even shipped yet. When I talked to them they tell me about their 1 to 3 day shipping policy which has passed. I spoke with them last night and they told me to come back to chat tonight if it wasn't shipped today which I did. I got NO where. Just kept getting the run around. I asked multiple times that since it hasn't shipped to switch my order to store pick up and I will drive th 1 hour and 45 minutes to pick it up. This was my first order from Michaels and I assumed they would be as attentive to getting packages out as the other merchants I deal with. I needed to have that item by the end of the week and it hasn't even shipped yet and they will not even check on it like they promised they would the night before. They just keep saying there is delays. They tell me I can't pick my item up in the store as requested. One rep gave me the suggestion to reorder the item for pick up in the store now (It's higher in price now) and then when the other order comes refuse it and they will refund my money .... .well ... I purchased gift cards through a gift card place to use specifically for this item ... so if they refund me ..... 350.00 of the 400.00 was gift cards. I explained to them I don't need that kind of gift card credit sitting in my account because I don't have anything to buy with it. It would be like paying for the item twice because those gift cards would sit there unused. They have been rude on chat and not at all helpful and accomodating. They have stated their shipping policy to me so many times .... but why??? Since they don't even follow it. I figure since it didn't ship per their own policy they should work to accomodate me being able to pick up the item I already paid for in the store. It would be different if the item hadn't been sitting in preparing state for the last 5 days ... but the status doesn't change. It's not shipped. :( I am so disappointed in their lack of customer service!

Could be better.

The orders are picked and the labels are created same day as you place your order as long as it's within regular business hours, but the shipping takes as long as a week within the same province. I understand that I could just go to the store to pick up my order providing it can be done from a local store, but I'm not paying over $15 in shipping charges to have to wait a week and receive my order of 6 items in 4 different boxes, sometimes with missing or wrong items.

Zona Rosa Customer Service is Amazing!!

The Michael's at Zona Rosa in KCMO is the best I've ever visited (and I go to Michaels a LOT.) I had ordered canvases that I later realized wouldn't fit in my car. Not only were they able to help with the return and re-purchase of different canvases, I received such amazing customer service from multiple members of staff, including their manager, Jackie. This will be my go-to Michael's from now on. Absolutely fantastic experience!

I had a big problem with a Christmas…

I had a big problem with a Christmas Tree a bought at the Pickering store and had to take it back. Janet and Karlie reassembled the tree and fixed the problem. They were very helpful, courteous, friendly and truly professional. Jim Meek

Do not under any circumstances use…

Do not under any circumstances use their online store. They promise delivery dates they can't keep. The customer service is not empowered enough to solve problems. I made a 5k order and they didn't even send me a tracking number. I had to call three times to find out they used some crazy freight company that aperrently only works one day a week. When are these companies gonna realize that if they want to compete with Amazon they have to care about the customer experience. Needless to say they will never see another doller from me.

I am absolutely disgusted at the…

I am absolutely appauled at the customer service from Michaels online. I ordered a Christmas Tree two weeks ago and the order hadn't moved - I contacted them today to see what was going on and they told me that they could reship it but that I would have to wait another 3 days for processing and approximately another 6-9 for shipment so another 2 weeks with all of the holiday mail delays. No thank you. I then asked them to cancel the order because it hadn't even charged my account yet (per their shipping policy, it doesn't charge until its shipped) which tells me it hadn't shipped, and they refused and that they can only cancel an order for the first hour after its placed. They told me I needed to wait until the processing time is fully over and then they could see what they could do. TERRIBLE service. I've been in this industry for 20 years and KNOW that there are other options other than waiting it out for it to charge my account, ship the tree I no longer want, and then go through the entire returning/refusing process. This entire ordering process has been nothing but a pain. IF you're going to make the decision to purchase from Michaels, do NOT do it online. They tend to have a nack for ruining the Christmas Spirit.

Simple crafts for seniors

Went to Michaels looking for some crafts to do with my 91 yr. old Mom with Alzheimers. She likes to keep busy but needs simple. Found just what I was looking for. She was thrilled with her work and we hung up her decorations in her senior living room when complete so she can enjoy. Wish I could post pictures of her smiles with her completed projects.

Christmas tree never shipped

So michaels had their Christmas trees on sale online so I purchased one at a reasonable price. When I placed the order, the website indicated most orders ship in about three business days. About one week passes and my order still shows "preparing." I contacted customer service who stated they needed to get in touch with the shipping department. A few hours later I received an email indicating my tree will ship in the next day or two. Another week passes and nothing shipped. I contacted customer service again and was told the tree is now out of stock so they have nothing to ship at this point. I inquired about a comparable tree however was bluntly told no; they can only send replacement shipments for the exact item. I was offered an apology for the "inconvenience" of never having my tree shipped and the agent stated they would be disappointed too in my situation. No solution was offered to me and I was basically told, "oh well" and was given the cold shoulder by customer service.

What a wonderful day!!!

I don't know where to begin. I have to tell myself that I can't go spend 2 or 3 hours at Michael's. I get so excited about going to Michael's. It's a struggle not to go into Michael's. My heart races when I drive by the store. I have tried so many different crafts after seeing a new project. I have sent my grandchildren so many different projects to try. My son keeps scolding me about how they have to go to school. I couldn't believe when I think the manager came out to my car and said call them, they'll bring me a handicap carriage. Not even Walmart does that. I could feel my stress disappearing about having to go out in public after that individual told me to call them and they'll bring me a cart. WOW. OMG, nobody has ever offered to do that.

Excellent Cashier was knowledgeable

Excellent Cashier was knowledgeable. We need more classes in person and a way to know if the classes are still available. I bought a seasonal wreath at my store. I sell market drawings and want to get into selling floral crafts. South Carolina is a very crafty state we need this.

Very disappointed in Michael’s

Very disappointed in Michael’s Customer Service. I ordered five items for Christmas gifts thru the website. My order arrive and when I opened it, there were 4 of the items in the first box. Opened the second and it was a duplicate of the first box. I did not receive the 5th item which, of course, was the highest priced item in my order. I chatted with the live rep. as soon as I realized the problem. The rep. informed me that they will issue a return label for the incorrect items. Once they receive those items back and process the return, they’ll ship my item that I paid for. Now, according to her, it will take them about 3 days to process the return and then 7-10 before the ship my paid for item. So I’m having to wait an additional 2 weeks for something that I should have already received. The mistake was on them, I shouldn’t have to wait to receive what I paid for. These items are gifts. Guess I’ll just say a little prayer the item won’t be sold out by the time they get around to shipping it.
