Terrible experience with Michaels…
Terrible experience with Michaels online! I have been on chat with them 2 different nights. I placed a substantial order of about 400.00. On the same day I placed my order with them I made a number of other orders. All those items have already been received or having tracking showing delivered tomorrow. This order from Michaels has not even shipped yet. When I talked to them they tell me about their 1 to 3 day shipping policy which has passed. I spoke with them last night and they told me to come back to chat tonight if it wasn't shipped today which I did. I got NO where. Just kept getting the run around. I asked multiple times that since it hasn't shipped to switch my order to store pick up and I will drive th 1 hour and 45 minutes to pick it up. This was my first order from Michaels and I assumed they would be as attentive to getting packages out as the other merchants I deal with. I needed to have that item by the end of the week and it hasn't even shipped yet and they will not even check on it like they promised they would the night before. They just keep saying there is delays. They tell me I can't pick my item up in the store as requested. One rep gave me the suggestion to reorder the item for pick up in the store now (It's higher in price now) and then when the other order comes refuse it and they will refund my money .... .well ... I purchased gift cards through a gift card place to use specifically for this item ... so if they refund me ..... 350.00 of the 400.00 was gift cards. I explained to them I don't need that kind of gift card credit sitting in my account because I don't have anything to buy with it. It would be like paying for the item twice because those gift cards would sit there unused. They have been rude on chat and not at all helpful and accomodating. They have stated their shipping policy to me so many times .... but why??? Since they don't even follow it. I figure since it didn't ship per their own policy they should work to accomodate me being able to pick up the item I already paid for in the store. It would be different if the item hadn't been sitting in preparing state for the last 5 days ... but the status doesn't change. It's not shipped. :( I am so disappointed in their lack of customer service!
