Their art supplies are way over priced $20 for a 37ml paint tube? Really? Yeah I’m aware artist grade is expensive, I use plenty artist grade paints and supplies but compared to blicks they are way over priced. Also I ordered some art supplies online on Jan 2 2022, it’s now Jan 7 and my stuff is still stuck on “Preparing”. They definitely charged my bank and I can’t cancel the order. I only ordered from Miachels because the paint set I wanted from Blicks was backlogged till February but if I’d know they would take this long I would have just waited. I also added a few things I needed for next week but they haven’t even shipped so I don’t even know if I’ll get them by then. This was my first and last time ordering online form them. I’ll update my review once I actually receive my order.
Worst customer service ever at Nutley Rd, Virginia store. Was verbally attacked by cashier who was overwhelmed and unable to handle more than one task at a time, all while complaining to me about having to be on phone with her manager the entire transaction. My items were roughly shoved into bags, a few are now broken, and the cashier made comments about me to the next customer, as I walked out the door. When I spoke to the manager by phone after the incident, he was barely interested. Michael's products are a distant second to Hobby Lobby's and their lousy customer service will continue to drive customers away.
In your survey you ask "are you trying to sell your crafts?". That's kind of a negative approach! I'm a professional crafter/artist/designer and do sell my creations! I have been involved in the craft industry for 35 years. How about changing that question to "Do you sell your creations/art/crafts?
Michaels has a lot of good stuff but it's way overpriced, the help sometimes is not very well informed and a lot of their frames are scratched or beaten up. Used to be a fan and not anymore.

I don’t shop at Michael’s often as I find the store overwhelming and in the past have found staff hard to find for assistance. I ended up needing very large frames for four pictures needed before Christmas. The lady working in the framing department was helpful but, the young lady working cash out was awesome! She was beyond pleasant efficient and because I had the four large frames and not able to take the buggy outside the store, said she would help me by carrying out two of the frames to my car, which she did. I’m not sure if she was hired for seasonal work or, if she is a regular employee but, if she’s was only seasonal you really should hire her full time. Thank you Alisa at Michael’s Langley for making a shopping experience enjoyable.
I was shopping at the Michaels in Martinsburg, WV. Marie provided excellent assistance, was so kind, and helped us ensure the accuracy of our online order before we left the store. We found during the holiday season that many store representatives are always in a hurry; however, Marie invested the extra time and went the extra mile for complete customer satisfaction. Her efforts were very much appreciated!

I took a jersey in to be framed. I was told a price and I left the jersey there. A couple days later I received a call from the manager stating the employee told me the wrong price. He stated I would need to pay an additional $200.00. I explained this was an item of a loved one whom passed away. I explained what the employee had quoted me. I was told I can either pay the extra $200. Or pick the jersey up. I wasn't offered anything for the mistake and the manager lacked empathy. I do not recommend this location.
This store is such a rip off! They price gouge worse then any store I've seen. When shopping for a silhouette cameo 4 I looked at Michael's first, then checked out the silhouette.ca website. The cameo 4 pro at Michael's is 649.00 while on the Silhouette website the regular price is 499.00!!!! $150 mark up is beyond greedy and ripping people off BIG TIME. I am no longer going to shop at Michael's ever again, I refuse to support a store that does this to it's customers. Shame.
We were searching for a tree 3 days before Christmas that was between 3 and 5 ft. No local store had one; however, I ordered one online and was able to pick it up first thing in the morning at Michael's. During the purchase, I made a mistake with some ornaments at the checkout and the cashier, Shirley, at the Brooksville FL location, was extremely helpful during my uncomfortableness.
I found all the supplies I was looking for. The pricing is well worth the products. Love this store.
Christmas decoration was half-price and unique. I bought a frame of baby first Christmas and ornament ornaments and kwanza tablecloth.
Johnny was very good at helping us.. Great experience overall.
I placed an order on December 3rd. They shipped it to the wrong address. I went online to request a replacement. They gave me a replacement number, but did not send it. On Dec. 23rd, they said they could not reship, but sent me a virtual gift card. I will never shop there again. After spending 3 hours on an online chat, it is just not worth it.
Really nice if you have some questions especially in Spanish, Isamar is the best for you!!
I usually don’t write reviews, but I was seriously impressed by the salesman, Majesty at the Port Chester location. I’ve gone there in the past and have had no one help me. But this gentleman was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions and even offered insight on how to improve my project.
I love your store. I love your merchandise. However, today, Dec 19, 2021 at 5pm I had a rather unfortunate encounter with a rather disgruntled employee. I was in White Marsh Maryland. As I checked out I began to realize I bought too much merchandise ( yes I’m one of “those”) and the cashier told me to simply leave it in my cart and take the cart to the end of the line. Her coworker “Liv” saw it and became very angry, cursing over her communicator and calling me a #!+<%. I do believe Liz needs to return to college and enroll in Customer Service 101. To your staff that does their job and does it well; thank you for what you do! Happy holidays! Kathy
I have been on the phone w/5 different representatives & wasted 2 hrs of my time w/no result. They keep putting me on hold & not returning. I was waiting 45mins on one call, 10 on another & another 15 now. They charged me for unwarranted amount & will not give it back which means Michael steals from their loyal customers. I spend $100/wk w/them for my hobby & this is how they treat a good customer. Shame on them!!! They will no longer get our business! Making a social media post now & reporting them to the BBB!
